MiniVAP Vaporizer

If I understand correctly the material that the exterior of the unit is Ultem, an exceptionally hard and strong polymer which will not scratch easily.

My black unit still looks like new. I really have to search for it with a strong light to see scratches. The most resistant should be the silver one, as it is the raw material itself (not 100% sure). When I ordered I did not had the choice for the color but I'm really happy with black. Silver.. For my backup, maybe.. There is also custom colors. I've seen a purple one irl once.

Overall durability is more than excellent. It has taken a big place in the engineering process of the MV. Its heavy duty gear like the volcano.

Ok ... quick update on the progress of the testing ....

I love the MiniVAP ... I'll qualify this by saying that it's still early and could still be the honeymoon stage ... but it's impressing me more each day which is unusual (the Cloud did this for me as well)

So I used my Cloud once or twice ... mostly for the convenience because I could turn it on with my iPhone and it was ready to go immediately when I walked into the workshop ... (load, hit, dump, leave ... 3 minutes tops ...). Apart from that I did one session back to back where I ground up some Afghani/Skunk cross and split the load between a Cloud ELB and a MiniVAP chamber and you know what ... both were one as good as the other and both were vaped to completion in about 2.5 hits through the same hydratube both milking it about the same.

So ... my continued use of the MiniVAP I've found I can get basically the same results as the Cloud with the same clean taste (I've come to the conclusion--IMHO--today ... might change tomorrow or the next day or next week ... that both vapes have equally as good tasting vapor and the flavor is more dependent on the temperature than anything else as the materials from neither vape imparts any flavor when run at the mid temperatures but well heated ...)

Both vapes perform better once well heated and running at a "middle" type temperature ... for instance I run my Cloud at about 1:00, maybe a little lower sometimes, and the MiniVAP I run at green. Both need to be heated a little hotter if they are heated from cold and hit immediately after reaching temp as opposed to letting them steep in their heat at which point they run perfectly awesome at the mid temperatures (12:30-1:00 on the Cloud and Green on the MiniVAP). I find the MiniVAP if you want to hit it from Cold ... I heat until green goes solid, loading the chamber as soon as the herb is ground as the chamber only gets warm until you start hitting it n... and then turn it to red for maybe a minute or s0 before starting to hit it. If it's sufficiently heated I just leave it at green and it vapes great!

Anyways ... enough of my rambling updates ...

Edit: Now I just need to get an actual battery (mine accidentally shipped without one ... just the home kit by accident but slide4less/authorizedvaporizerdealers is making it right with no problems at all and is just sending me the battery and charger ... talk about awesome service!)

Also looking forward to some of those new accessories as I'm drooling like crazy over them ... I just can't stop ... I'm worried about water damage to my vapes

Thanks for your review/impressions JCat. I am getting really fired up about this vape and plan to order it sometime this week. It looks like the rest of my stable is going to get much use after this thing arrives.

Glad to be of assistance! I looked at this thing for quite a while before making the jump ... I don't want to give any false impressions either though ... this is only after a few days of use so my opinion could change although the fact that it's changing for the better is definitely favourable.

Anyways ... glad to be of assistance and I'll keep everyone posted (and maybe even post a video comparison? Maybe Cloud/MiniVAP/INH/Solo vape off? ... grind and measure 4 equal parts of herb ... maybe .15-.20g or so per vape as that seems to be a good number where all those vapes would perform well.

I would be very interested to see such a video.

Oh J, everyone would love such a vape off but how nice would it be if you could include a modern log like a Nano or a Hi or a Dog... I really believe they are up to the task for a match with the big boys while conserving at the same time.

Guys... This vape is so strong.. I'm getting blasted from two puffs.

The silicone cone allows me to take as much time as I want between hits. I realized it is a better experience when I take at least one hour to finish a bowl.

While using the original cone, loss is minimal compared to every other vapes, with the new cone, you can have a zero cook experience. Means that no actives are lost in this part of the process, which makes a huge difference about extracting the medicinal properties.

Add breathing techniques and smooth conditioning, and you get an efficiency like you never achieved. Theses previous days my consumption is almost down the half of what I was using. It has been a long and serious work to achieve that while conserving at least the same level of medication.

Amazing experience, flavor, quality lungs like I've never had before. I have been bluffed cause my lungs are starting to get resistant to external aggressions (like dust and stuff, I was cleaning, and passing here my sister coughed while I was feeling nothing, in the past this would give me sneezes and runny nose), instead of weakening my respiratory system, my protocol of consumption reinforce it. I'm definitely over with my lung hyper sensitivity. No more runny nose and sneezes attacks, only wellness. The MV really helped me managing to get that perfectly clean delivery.

I also avoid the red setting now, as it seems to cook the herbs too fast, the extraction seems more efficient at green, I prefer to use red only before I go to sleep. If you go red on the day, you won't get that CBN sleepy impact with short term tolerance, and the taste is far far better on green. I don't noticed much vapor production trying to milk on red after a full session on green. I think that is why it is called "light combustion" it is for people who likes to have that high temperature hard hitting thing. I don't think it is extracting that much more, in fact, starting on red causes a lot more degradation (CBD, taste) and the experience is poorer overall, it's only interesting if you choose to trade efficiency for impact.

I've been thinking about an e-Nano and an EV-2 ... but I think I gotta' slow down my purchases for at least a bit

More about the temperature control technology :

The MV analyzes each of your pulls precisely, and correlate to core and external temp. The regulation is precise because it has been programmed to react to a lot of different patterns. That is why the extraction is so amazing. The device predicts everything.

Amazed everyday. I don't know if even the cloud integrates such tech (pull sensor). Apparently this was one of the toughest parts in the R&D, and they are still working on improving the software.
