Just to point out: the hopper batteries have 750ma printed on them. Ive used the d4 to charge one battery many times so far without incident. The d4 charges up to two batteries at 750ma each, and 3-4 at 375ma each. When charging at 750ma the batteries don't warm up at all. YMMVI'm getting the i2 for my 3 batteries. I like the option of being able to charge one battery at a time, which you can't do in the i4 without potentially damaging the battery.
From the i4 manual:
"When charging a single battery in the I4, the charging current can reach as high as 750mA, which exceeds the current many Ni-MH/Ni-Cd AAA and 10440 Li-ion batteries can withstand. For this reason, under no circumstances should a single AAA or 10440 battery be charged on its own, as potential overheating, damage or even explosion may occur."
Explosion is not something I want to risk when stoned haha - especially when it comes to these rare Hopper batteries!

The quote he did was the one I forgot to post from the I4 manual. I wonder if it's a difference between the two.
not with Hopper batteries. i don't have them jet. Xtar show less mAh on my AA and e-cig mod batteries as well. difference is about 10%. so two possibilities- ether Xtars are not measuring correctly or all battery producers are printing higher numbers on their product than actual capacity.I've charged my batteries with my xtar vc4 many times with 1000mA or 500mA and had no problem. But when they are fully charged, the charger displays around 500 - 550 mAh, not the 750mAh the battery should have. Anybody else had this observation?
The vapor wasn't insane but it was very present, I want the taste more than I want the vapor.

I've noticed this as well, the flavour is alot better than I expected! However, I remember the vapour output being much higher with my defective GH. Sometimes I think i'm pulling too fast, other times too slow, and not getting very consistent results.... just a bit of a learning curve I suppose, but i'm not getting the massive dragon clouds like I experienced before. With all this testing (4 batteries), I feel like i'm just flying through the batteries every 2 bowls, which isn't terrible, but having replaceable batteries seems like a double edged sword (coming from Crafty).
The heatup speed just puts a smile on my face every time, but my unit can get scorching HOT! Not just the backend (which at one point made my wife scream! Giggity!) but the entire body and front end too (I have to use the silicone).... but this depends on (protracted) usage. The short vapour path does make the vapour hot, compared to the CU of crafty/mighty.
I just can't seem to get it to milk up glass like before, but that could be strain, grind, etc. The important thing is that the ABV is perfect and very even!
Exactly, it bothers my wife but no big deal for me, and I know that *I* cause it by doing multiple back to back hits on 5, or use a water tool. I don't think that's how it's designed to work, which is why i'm starting to think that this vape isn't for me, as awesome as it is. And it is awesome.
Starting to realize how different vapes are suitable for different people. Doesn't mean that they are better or worse, just everyone has the right vape for their specific needs. I realize that a Cooling Unit is HUGE for me, if i'm not going through a water tool. Not sure I can vape dry without it.
Just did 2 bowls, one dry and one through water..... 3.5 and 5 respectively.... wife tried .75 ramped up to 2ish...........
GAME. CHANGER. Without question!
I'll sure to be back with impressions, but i'm off to enjoy the GH in the sunny weather!
You know what the impressions are anyway!
THANK YOU GHL!!!!!!
The GH seems extremely well made and it's just a dam nice vaporizer.
You can tell a ton of work went into the GH and the attention to detail and specs is impressive.

This seems odd to me. Even 3-4 back to back hits on 5 my body, nor the backend, get hot in the way you described...
I'm more of a one hitter quitter, but if you want to take several back to back hits, why would you not just turn it off and wait a few seconds between them? Especially since it heats back up almost instantly?
The vapor itself is going to be on the hot side no matter what, but the body getting painfully hot seems easily avoidable.
I think i'm torture testing alot more than that....when you say back to back hits, are you clicking it off between? Because when I power hit it, it gets really fucking hot! I wish I could measure it. Either way, it will bother some and not others. But it definitely gets HOT.
