This happens on the charger, it's normal. If you listen, both the metal and the USB transformer buzz as well.

Like your backend, I ***think*** it is how you screw in the backend, too tight or too loose and I notice that the backend will heat up very very quickly. However, just by unscrewing and rescrewing it doesn't happen again. Something to do with the contact points probably, I wouldn't worry about it as long as it's snug.

As for the fake start... I haven't investigated enough to say. :\
i'm having very similar experience. Back end only occasionally seems to get hot, but not always. Unscrewing and rescrewing backend does seem to make it better.
otherwise works fine, except every once in a while it doesn't like the way i click it on and i get flashing red lights, have to click off then back on and it will be fine. I hear buzzing at the back end when on my charger sometimes, only when the magnet is in certain positions. And i'm not sure, but i sorta feel like it doesn't produce heat at less than 3.

This is what was happening to me on my old body. I'd misclick and it wouldn't quite register correctly, and in time it became more problematic. I've misclicked a couple of times since and not had any problems, so I think it's limited to the body. It'd be worth shooting their support an e-mail for full clarification, but I don't think you've got anything to worry about. If you feel you have heater issues though definitely e-mail them. There should be visible density difference between 3 and 5 in glass.

Yeah get ur point
I managed to quit the fags by vaping plus using a brass pipe for a quick hit, the vapcap replaced that
That said I'm an April 15 grasshopper order so still waiting on that
I enjoy using a torch as it is close to smoking

for everybody who want to quit cigarettes- use Tabex! incredible homeopathic medicine produced in Ukraine. those pils give you exactly the same feeling as nicotine does. plus cigarettes start to taste like a rubber. you just can't take a smoke. and after a moth of therapy there is no problem quitting those pils.

i don't know if Tabex is in your pharmacy where you live, but in East Europe people are quitting very easy. here it is online http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tabex-1-5-m...389034?hash=item3d10c5942a:g:6AAAAOSwJb9Wsi~W

Do you put the pill in the Hopper whole, or grind it up? ;)

I remember reading a suggestion from @Bass Vaper on this exact issue.
GHL suggested he lightly flick the clicker which seemd to work for him.

See below:
Sounds similar to what the one I'm using does. Flick the clicker with your hand or lightly tap it, do it when it goes dark. It should come back on then go blue (act normal). Or if you're tapping it while its off it does seem to make it work more consistently, but doesn't fix it permanently.

This is a striking piece of advice from a manufacturer. In the recent car analogy, does BMW give suggestions like this?

I suppose not very many remember, "Plunk your magic plinger, Froggy!"?
-from Andy's Gang, a kid's TV show in the '50's, with Andy Devine [sp?]

Ye ole percussive maintenance. I should have tried this a while back, though they didn't tell me to try that.

I appreciated him being able to troubleshoot and solve the problem (at least temporarily). But, can you imagine someone buying a BMW, & (say) the radio has a similar defect (immediately shuts off) when powered on, and the sales guy going "just tap the face of the radio a couple times, should fix it right up". I can't. I'd think that'd be embarrassing to the BMW brand. But, it's not a BMW, or a car, or anything worth getting my panties in a bunch about, it's a vaporizer. It's all good here, seems to be working better now. About 85% of the time it works properly.

Averyminya, I'm sure part of them suggesting it was (being the 3rd warranty request) that they were just as tired of dealing with me as I was of dealing with another warranty request.

Good luck, man!

Hey, don't feel bad about asking for a warranty request. It does have a lifetime warranty so there shouldn't be a problem. I wish you luck and hopefully you can get the issue resolved.

Don't feel bad about making warranty requests! I literally sent 14 e-mails to caroline in one night after my body was having some problems. Despite what it seems, I do think they want to make their customers happy :p I had also asked them to do e-mail troubleshooting in case the warranty is too big a commitment, which they may have started doing.

Hopefully it works itself out! If not... what's 2 weeks without a Hopper :)

Are you a BMW driver? A running joke when the auto industry when from key to push button ignition was "that's the end of BMW" as while they are in my opinion the industry leader in drivetrain they are notorious in Spartan features if/when they work, particularly if there was any kind of button involved.

Another great BMW anecdote is that after refusing to install air conditioning in the 1980's BMW USA sales execs took some BMW big wigs from Germany on a drive through Texas in the summer with the back seat window buttons disabled.

Point being, that yes BMW does sometimes suggest rigging something up ... in fact they give you a full size spare tire and tool kit in the trunk!

Anyway the real reason I came here was because I just learned a valueble lesson about the grasshopper. Never grind your flower, always just pinch some off a bud.

I ridiculously succumbed to some marketing from Terrapin Care Station and grinded up some Agent Organe and Dark Blue Dream to support our Broncos right? Take a few rips ...

Then go back the jar of dark blue dream and just grab a little pinch off the bud ... OOOOHHHH!! There's my flavor and my clouds!

on the other hand, awful glad I have this vivape2 desktop as that jawn loves some ground up to dust derd ... yum!

It's good to know you can do that with the grasshopper. I do the same with my Solo and Mighty, but can't do so with the Pax2 as you may already know. It's so convenient to pinch off a bit and be ready instantly. I guess my SCS isn't going to work so hard anymore. Also, stop making me want to buy a BMW lol.

BUY A BMW! DO IT NOW! well maybe after the game ...

I am as much a 3 series fanboy as grasshopper and (cue the slings and arrows) the two things I value most are intriguing engineering and reliability ... it's also why I like Mozart, too many notes? sure but really which ones would you not have, amirite?

I drive cross country at least twice a year in my 12 year old 3 series with a billion miles, puffing my grasshopper worry free, join me!

I always say I'd rather drive an old BMW and have people assume I'm broke than drive a brand new Toyota and remove all doubt. :-)

For a first time BMW driver I'd recommend a 3 series 2001-5 right now it would be a fairly cheap experiment but definitely get a stick, those years have lousy automatics, probably replaced by now but keep an eye out for it

I payed off my 2002 Honda S2000 which is super reliable and a joy to drive. When I get my GH I'll break it in inside my car lol. Thanks for the advice though

Has anyone felt stomach aches after using their grasshopper? Or tightness? I have a magic flight box and never gave me stomach aches or tightness in lungs

ISO clean before my use..

I just now wiped it down with just water.

So I'm curious if I'm a first for this? The health risk list is pretty long on that manual lol

Also the color blue they advertised was off.. It looks greyish I brought this to their attention that and they suggested microfibering it to bring the color back..after I just explained I haven't used it yet and that nothing was going to change the color of something supposivly new. The customer service has me worried about warranty issues.

Yeah, the purple isn't all that purplish, though it is quite nice looking.

Didn't experience any stomach pains. Definitely baked my throat a little though.

Yeah that is whack. I am not settling for that. If I buy something it's working or I'm getting my money back.

Would you be able to share some images of it? Does it look different shades of purple depending on the lighting?

You may be packing too much, which is making you need to breathe much harder than you should need to (firm, but not tight air restriction). Your stomach would definitely hurt after use if you gulp vapor into your belly. That's my guess as to what's happening. IIRC the MFLB can hold soooo much more than the GH, so even 1/3rd of a trench seems like it would be a lot for the GH.

Try less herb, half a chamber and see how that goes for you :)

For what it's worth on your color, my GH has been "dulling" over the past couple days. I wiped it down for about 3 minutes with a microfiber cloth and it was shiny, near brand new looking again. Something about the metals must steal the oils from our hands.

Yeah that is whack. I am not settling for that. If I buy something it's working or I'm getting my money back.

You'd be surprised how often you find this to be untrue.

It was supposed to be blue but it looks grey and depending on the lighting I see some blue but it looks like a poor color adhesion of blue. If I had a way to attach without posting it elsewhere sure but it's asking for a URL.

On the stomach thing.. Maybe the ISO clean and let dry still required a water wipe as well? Not sure why it's made me feel that way upon using it.

Yeah man, I mentioned the blue when people started receiving them. Most of the photos looked nothing like the ones from the website. Though there were some "wild" images in certain lighting that looked similar..

also, i get chest pains with my AA. think its the draw resistance.
