I really need a clip for my mouthpiece. I've noticed like 3 people reaching to pick it up by the mouthpiece and I have to yell stop!
sorry b0, hope you find something.
b0, that same dewar cut bubbler was discussed a few pages back I believe, or maybe was in "recent acquisition" thread and it was noted that the "blow back" with this particular piece is quite strong, need to pull whip/adapter off when clearing...I myself hav never tried this piece, but do remember reading about this particular problem somewhere for that exact piece. Wish I could be more helpful...Thanks jam! If someone sees something interesting let me know! I think this is the only candidate right now http://www.weed-star.com/product_info.php?products_id=872
Pretty sure you only get blowback on stemless pieces, where the water sloshes back after you stop inhaling. I'm no weedstar fan (used to in high school hehe) but if the shipping is right, that particular piece has perfect vapor dimensions IMOWasn't it about a Black Leaf? I remember reading something like that about a Black Leaf, but will search info for this one too.
Edit: Just saw this video from RogerD and the piece seems to work really well, maybe it needs less water?

This sucker?Just wanted to mention, they aren't the 'only' pieces (maybe more common/severe for stemless). Earlier in the thread I linked to a black leaf showerhead ashcatch I got and I've got the same issue on occasion. It's a dewaar joint, out to a 45 male end from the top of the can and I've managed to get my flower wet 3-4 times. It's rare, considering how much use it gets... and I still haven't figured out what exactly I'm doing wrong when it happens, but yeah.
Agreed though, I wouldn't expect trouble from blowback with the weedstar, just that sometimes the unexpected smacks you in the face.. or gets your flowers wet. I watched that video again and just kept thinking 'holy sh*t, that's a lot of water'.
I definitely take it seriously when you consider cold water can destroy the $600 VXC vaporizer.SD -- That's the one!
I wouldn't call it REAL high, but it was while I was playing around with levels. If I'm remembering correctly it was 1/4-1/2 in above the top of the slits, so yes higher than I've settled on in the end. Now I use it with water filled juuuust to the top of the slits and it works well. Occasionally it will spit a little bit up into the J-hook on a clear but that's got a nice angle on it where it just adds a little natural perc. That does take quite a bit of pull strength though.

I did a close up video of the perc on the $40 bubbler... enjoy
