I really need a clip for my mouthpiece. I've noticed like 3 people reaching to pick it up by the mouthpiece and I have to yell stop!

Damn, the shipment overseas for the infamous is more than his price. I will have to search another cheap bubbler :(

Thanks jam! If someone sees something interesting let me know! I think this is the only candidate right now http://www.weed-star.com/product_info.php?products_id=872
b0, that same dewar cut bubbler was discussed a few pages back I believe, or maybe was in "recent acquisition" thread and it was noted that the "blow back" with this particular piece is quite strong, need to pull whip/adapter off when clearing...I myself hav never tried this piece, but do remember reading about this particular problem somewhere for that exact piece. Wish I could be more helpful...

Wasn't it about a Black Leaf? I remember reading something like that about a Black Leaf, but will search info for this one too.

Edit: Just saw this video from RogerD and the piece seems to work really well, maybe it needs less water?

Pretty sure you only get blowback on stemless pieces, where the water sloshes back after you stop inhaling. I'm no weedstar fan (used to in high school hehe) but if the shipping is right, that particular piece has perfect vapor dimensions IMO

Just don't expect it to be a tank, should treat it like a fragile lady :-)

Just wanted to mention, they aren't the 'only' pieces (maybe more common/severe for stemless). Earlier in the thread I linked to a black leaf showerhead ashcatch I got and I've got the same issue on occasion. It's a dewaar joint, out to a 45 male end from the top of the can and I've managed to get my flower wet 3-4 times. It's rare, considering how much use it gets... and I still haven't figured out what exactly I'm doing wrong when it happens, but yeah.

This sucker?

Certainly wouldn't have expected it to blowback but like you said, it did; thanks for sharing .
Was the water level real high?

Either way, the mentioned Weed Star tree bubbler is so tall that with that non-stemless, should not occur.

SD -- That's the one!

I wouldn't call it REAL high, but it was while I was playing around with levels. If I'm remembering correctly it was 1/4-1/2 in above the top of the slits, so yes higher than I've settled on in the end. Now I use it with water filled juuuust to the top of the slits and it works well. Occasionally it will spit a little bit up into the J-hook on a clear but that's got a nice angle on it where it just adds a little natural perc. That does take quite a bit of pull strength though.

Agreed though, I wouldn't expect trouble from blowback with the weedstar, just that sometimes the unexpected smacks you in the face.. or gets your flowers wet. I watched that video again and just kept thinking 'holy sh*t, that's a lot of water'.

I think so too, just over the slits is enough IMO. With shippping it's only 69€, seems like a really good price for it.

I definitely take it seriously when you consider cold water can destroy the $600 VXC vaporizer.

I wonder if showerhead/circs are more prone to it than a tree. :ninja:

Just ordered the weedstar, will let you know how it works when I have it. The size is perfect to have it here in my table and it only cost me 68,95. I think it's a good deal to use with my solo and GonG and will be more confortable to use than my actual tube with difusser downstem.

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
FYI, the infamous is tough. I had it in the bathroom sink soaking with all its pieces and in the middle of the night in the dark when I went to wash my hands I forgot it was there. I of course knocked it over pretty hard......................it lived. I did something dumb and won't do it again.

glad it survived Dreamerr. I've treated some of my other low cost glass pretty rough and it can be surprisingly tough.

**got my metal 14mm K clip today (from ebay), it fits well, and keeps the mouthpiece in place very well. I can now pick up my bub by the mp if I want to. :D

hey JSteez, where did you find your 14/18 reducer? It looks like the one I have, and I can't remember where I picked it up from...:ko: I like the short J hook too

I just ordered one from PV, last night actually, should be here next week, I was just curious about the one in the photo, because it looks like the one I have here in front of me. Horrible memory as to where I bought it from. Been trying to remember. :hmm:

Hey gang...How does the infamous work as a travel piece? I'm looking for a small travel piece that is durable. I was thinking about something with a narrow can like this, but much cheaper:

I like the fact that the mouth piece is small and removable on the Sheldon. The infamous is 1/4 of the price which is really tempting...I'm just worried the glass will be thin (that and I like a more narrow can). Although I have seen the reports of others tipping it over with no problems.

Any ideas on other cheap bubs that are small and durable enough to be a travel piece? Thx!

Fred, good call...I don't know why I didn't think of that. I just bought a Lev lattice and never really noticed that one. I think it's because i was focused on the double showerhead one...then opted for the lattice. hmmm...not a bad idea though
