You actually don't need the ground glass adapter for 14mm, the hose fits fine. I have that exact bubbler and it works fine with or without.
Right, though I assume it's a bit easier, nicer with the gg adapter. I'll probably get it as I may as well just throw it in.
Ground glass (normal) is lovely if you get a metal clip- you can rotate the wand to stir the bowl and it has no way of coming out.
Oh right. I was thinking one had to combine the ssv hands free attachment with the sgg to secure it. Now, I see these metal clips on the 7th Floor site for the spherical and the regular gg. I assume such a clip will secure either wand type.

Moto that setup is so sick. I am really diggin the custom HC and wand especially I haven't seen anything like it. Something like that would match my custom dome (blown by Steve at 7th Floor) really well. The disk bubbler looks likes it probably works well too no splash back, good diffusion, and small size that should preserve flavor. Nice man. Btw is that a octopus on the wand....... Man it would REALLY match my dome if so lol

Thanks guys:nod:... Puffers, yes it is an octopus, holding an implosion marble. There are only six legs though, I guess they couldn't fit the full eight . I like the wand for vape bonging, it hits really hard. The bubbler does work great, gets lots of use. Very good flavor if you fill the water just barely above the disk. I just have to clean it everyday almost to keep it pretty though:\, as I use it with all of my vapes.

My SSV goes to 1 pm on the dial at 4 a.m...... and remains there until 11 pm when I reduce it back to low power.
My SSV is, and has been my "Go to" vape since Day 1.
I have plenty of vapes, but the SSV is the only one that has NEVER skipped one day of service !

Agree 1000 percent about the SSV. I think I've gone full circle with vapes in the sense that the SSV was my first "real" vaporizer purchased about four or so years ago. Having gone the scenic route with subsequent purchases of several very good log and box vapes, I have to say that the SSV is in so many ways the perfect vaporizer and well worth the money. The heater is very consistent. With other "box vapes" (which we can argue that the SSV is evolved from that family) where the heater may sometimes flare up and burn my product, something like that has never happened with the SSV and i highly doubt that it will. I like the control that I get with my non hands free version; mating the wand with the heater safeguards against the possibility of accidentally yanking the wand off the heater by leaning back, etc., which has actually happened with the hands free box vapes.

With my particular unit it's necessary for me to keep the temp dial up almost all the way to get to a satisfying vaporizing level. I'm not sure why this is but 1 oclock just wouldn't work with my unit.

One more thing I'll say about the SSV. I think it's impossible for anyone to be dissatisfied or frustrated or confused by it. So when people ask me what vaporizer to get, it's an easy question to answer. I've never tried a Da Buddha but based on reputation and the manufacturer, I've recommended that as a first vaporizer as an "either or" (SSV or Da Buddha) depending on budget.

As a former longtime lurker, I have enjoyed reading many of your posts, and you were a big factor in my purchase of an SSV as my first vaporizer, as well as a Solo and MFLB later on. I always come back to the SSV, because of its powerful vape hits and is always on 24/7. The standard wand is like my little toking ritual, because of its hands on control. When I feel lazy I reach for the solo or the ud, but most of the time I use the SSV, because I enjoy the vaporizing experience as a whole. Now that I think of it, my SSV hasn't been off for at least five months or so....

I just have to shout out Vito cause hes the fuckin man, before i ever even heard of FC when i hung out on GC Vito was lacing my strings on vapor. I wonder how many people vitolo has single handedly converted to vaporizing. Seriously Uncle Vito is like the ........ Vaped Crusader. I know that he personally helped me convert first with a MFLB and then shortly after helped me decide on the best vape i have ever had the extreme pleasure of using the one and only SSV. So i just wanted to say thanks man because i know you have helped change my life for the better and i am sure theres dozens or hopefully hundreds others out there like me across all the other forums you visit. Seriously Thank You

SSV is the only way I'll go. I like the hands free GonG because it lets me carb my bong and not have to worry about holding wand in place. After destroying my throat over the years from combusting, the SSV has given me a new era of tasty hits without the brutal coughing fits.

I didn't get hip to Vito until later on, from here, in various threads. The thing that got me into wanting a good vaporizer (the concept intrigued me but what to get?) was "tokinglx" aka Paul and his google video videos on the SSV. Don't even know if they're around anymore but they were hilarious and informative and I knew I had to have one of these contraptions.

i agree, the ssv is the shit. the only vape that ever tore me away from it was the cloud. i traded my ssv for a solo and love it, but I need a heavy hitter (Cloud's in the shop) and I miss my ssv. I'm now addicted to water, so I just ordered the lsv, solely due to the respect and fondness I have for the ssv.

My next desktop vape will either be the cloud, hi, or the LSV since I use my ssv solely through water anyway. The lsv is really tempting given the price, glass path, and being a sturdy trusted 7th floor product. I have been wondering if the lsv will have less drag but a similar vapor to air ratio as the ssv. I love the dense clouds my ssv puts out but I think a vape with less drag would fire the fritted perc better of my DG........ Any thoughts?

Sticks I thought the Hi is a pretty serious heavy hitter???

The SSV is the king of my arsenal HANDS DOWN (I own a cloud and have frequent access to an LSV but they both for different reasons do not meet the SSV+AV experience on all levels...)

FLskwat...whats the +AV?

Puffers...the HI is a big hitter, but I don't have the power supply thing figured out yet, so it is not working properly. The Cloud taught me tons about glass and water filtration, and now that is my main desire. I also think the ritual of using the LSV will be very satisfying for me...like hitting a bong. I also think the LSV will work for me as far as being able to quickly pull it out and put it away when I want to be discreet. I'm gonna hang it on a wall behind my seating place with the Ion and just pull both out, have a good hit or two and put them back. All that and getting a LSV will satisfy my need for new toys for a little bit!

Drag? I thought there would be little to no drag. Can you please explain? I guess I will have to also start reading the lsv thread if it has less drag. I hate any drag what so ever so the less the better.

FLskwat...whats the +AV?

Yes Sir! = With an Aquavape (yes I know I'm a "glass snob" who has to admit one of his finest glass accessories for flower vaping is a "cheap AV", ROFL)...as this is the only set-up where I get:

the air-vape ratio of the SSV standard HC ( the LSV HC's air-vape ratio is much less satisfying IMO): enormous clouds BUT not to fast extraction and/or loss of flavors!
+
The easy ergonomics of handling only a whip with a little hydrated mouthpiece (vs. handling hose+ piece+adaptors or vs. noisy cloud + so not user friendly HT's or vs. cloud + piece). In this the LSV is almost ex-aequo I admit!
+
The level of water so ridiculous there is NO loss of flavors (vs. any of my pieces & vs. the cloud and HT or glass pieces -maybe except my SYN inverted showercap that cops with the same low water levels-but even then...)

Hope that helped!

are you using the small or large av? I almost got one but noticed some people saying that the large one leaked, the small one had very little water and both had very little diffusion. I may try one before I make the switch from dbv to lsv. I'm not sure which hydratube you have, but if its the showercap (smallest amount of water), how does the aquavape compare?

Thats right sticks ur using a LB PA for the HI huh makes sense now lol

Its not much especially when you start the load before it gets broken down from stirring. I hate drag but its mostly drag free its just my DG tube stacks so much better when iam dabbing. That tube just likes a lot of air to fire the perc optimally. I could chop my whip shorter and it would help i am sure, i am still using a 3 foot whip. The reason the ssv has some drag is the same reason why it has such a high air to vapor ratio. the intake for all your air comes through a hole thea size of a pencil eraser. Which gives you the huge clouds but does add a *slight* amount of drag. Nothing to concern most people just me and my type a personality

Now that i think about it this may be moot because when my Lev lattice comes i may use it for the ssv and delegate the DG for dab duty
