It's the info about how people who don't buy directly from GH will need to register so they can be eligible for warranty protection.

And info stating that the warranty is only for the original purchaser?

Yep, right on that sheet, it says that once registered to an individual the warranty cannot be transferred.

I actually bought one of the titanium ones on eBay so I could get the lifetime warranty in my name. Now I'm selling the SS model that I bought a few weeks ago.

As a longtime reader on this website, I am somewhat dismayed by the tangent that this thread is taking with regard to how GHL is "behaving". Too many people, in my opinion, have got their panties into a monstrous twist because their every desire has not been fulfilled by someone else.
For the record, I skew the demographic here. I remember when Eisenhower was the president, and I have been retired for years. In Bell curve terms, I am clinging tenuously to the very lip of the bell.
So, here is how I see the situation: I am excited to be on the crest of the wave of portable vaporization. I appreciate the sheer audacity & courage (far too absent in society today) of this little team of visionaries. I gladly have taken money from my pocket and given it to GHL, so that they might fulfill their "destiny". Will they succeed ? I dunno. History will tell. In the meantime, I am a giddy passenger on this train.

Quick question about ground up herb.

Which container is best for grasshopper refills?

Doob Tubes are very effective. You can use either the cap (load some material into the cap then stick it on the end of the hopper) or just stick your hopper inside the body of the tube to load it up. And they're cheap and airtight.

ADHD version - I agree.

Long-winded version:

Thank you studmuffin. I've been feeling the same way. I'm right with ya at the lip of that bell. I don't remember Ike, bu I do remember his successor. Maybe it's a generational thing, but I'm just grateful that I live in a world where I can happily puff away on the 3 vapes I already own while I wait for the Hopperists to deliver my 4th. So it takes a while. I've got ways to pass the time. They don't communicate as well as would be comfortable for us? Holy crap, they're human; as in: NOT PERFECT.

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that you can't change someone else's behavior. You can only change your own. Perhaps the other party will change theirs in response, perhaps not. I guess I'm not feeling a need to change my behavior just yet.

Now, if you'll excuse me I've got to go yell at some kids who are on my lawn. :myday:

EDIT: It occurs to me that this post could be construed as belonging in the newly formed "How GHL should behave" thread. In my defense, I feel this is more about how we forum members could consider behaving. If the mods disagree, mea cupla.

Can someone confirm for me that the rear end of the hopper is NOT supposed to get hot? I have an early TI version and if if I am holding the rear end in a fist, after 2 consecutive hits, the hopper nears uncomfortably hot.

Mine gets a little hot at times. From what I've noticed, it only gets hot if I'm holding or touching the rear area around the gap where the back screws in (a few cm around that). I haven't actually ran trials where I've tested if this is true - just my biased high memories.

Can anyone confirm this?

On the first 3 temperatures are you able to see visible clouds or is it only the effect that you feel? On mine it feels as if i have to turn it up to 4-5 to see visible clouds. On the lower temperatures I feel the effect but don't see much visible vapor. The backend on mine also gets warm if I'm doing back to back hits, but more so hot when I am grasping it from the backend area.

You may just want to email ghl with a detailed description of your experience. If they're not comfortable, they'll just have you send it in.

A GREAT way to load is by using the Pinnacle Pro bullets. Pack them loosely, don't tap down, fill no more than half way. They pour very easily and mess free. Or you can tip the bullet straight up and down on the Hopper and tap it in.

Caroline said the back end is supposed to get hot to a degree, not burning hot tho.

2.5 is where visible vapor happens

Just had to say I love you're avatar dude, gentle and soft!

Also the new purple is definitely more grey than before, and it seems the blue (and the bronze maybe) is too, no longer like Buzz's, even accounting for photo variation. Seems it changed in the redesigns? Eh at this point whatever amirite

So my warranty replacement body came in on Saturday. It seems to have fixed the problem but I haven't actually tested the hopper yet. I'm almost afraid to now. It took a month from the initial warranty claim being put in to the time I actually got my replacement part. As I stated in an earlier comment, they basically stopped communicating with me. They took a week to respond initially. After 2 weeks (12 days, actually) I e-mailed asking what the status was and they responded saying it would go out that same day (they actually responded quickly to that e-mail. Maybe a few hours. This was also the last e-mail I received from them.) and that I would get the tracking info. 3 days later I still had no tracking info, so I e-mailed again. 4 days later, I received my new body. Now, here's why I'm upset about this: I already know that a package leaving Colorado going to NYC only takes 3 days (Not my first time ordering something USPS from a company in Colorado.). This means that they had told me they would send out my replacement, didn't send it out, and then stopped responding after they got called out on it (not that I really called them out, I just asked if it went out as planned or not). I had a faster turnover when I had to send my entire computer in for a warranty repair and that had to be opened up, diagnosed, fixed, and sent back. All these guys had to do was grab a new body, stick it in an envelope, and mail it. I'm pretty disappointed in the lack of communication with people waiting for warranty repairs as well as the very slow speed. On top of that, the mouthpiece doesn't even screw on 100%. There's a very small gap, almost like it needs another 1/4 turn, between the body and the mouthpiece, but I don't want to force it for fear of breaking it or never being able to open it again. I thought it was maybe caused by some gunk on the mouthpiece so I cleaned it out. Nope. I haven't tested my new body but I honestly don't know when I will. I bought a Da Buddha to use as my daily driver and I still have my OG Pax to use with my water pipe (that thing is a tank. I don't care what you guys say it's an amazing vaporizer) so the GH is being relegated to pure stealth use. Because it took so long to get it replaced and it appears to be so fragile, I don't think I'm going to subject it to heavy use. I may take 1 hit tonight after work to make sure it works but then it's back in the box until I need it.

Yo won't really see clouds if you're under temp 3. Even on temp 3 it really depends on how you hit it. If you take a really long draw, you'll probably see some clouds. You want to cloud chase? Crank it up to 4.5 and go nuts.

Yeah I did just that. I just needed to get used to using it. I'm getting clouds at 2.5 but not huge ones, and on 4.5-5 the clouds make me want to cough since they're so big. Anyways, it sucks your GH doesn't screw on well. I would just use it even if it does break down, that's the point of having the GH to use it. If something goes wrong with it you know they'll replace it.
