You may be packing too much, which is making you need to breathe much harder than you should need to (firm, but not tight air restriction). Your stomach would definitely hurt after use if you gulp vapor into your belly. That's my guess as to what's happening. IIRC the MFLB can hold soooo much more than the GH, so even 1/3rd of a trench seems like it would be a lot for the GH.

Try less herb, half a chamber and see how that goes for you :)

For what it's worth on your color, my GH has been "dulling" over the past couple days. I wiped it down for about 3 minutes with a microfiber cloth and it was shiny, near brand new looking again. Something about the metals must steal the oils from our hands.

You'd be surprised how often you find this to be untrue.
Ah! Thank you! I have been packing it full because I am thinking of the MFB

At half a chamber how many hits are you getting? I think I filled it as well because I didn't want it to vape out too soon.. Lol overcompensating did me in I gues..

It was supposed to be blue but it looks grey and depending on the lighting I see some blue but it looks like a poor color adhesion of blue. If I had a way to attach without posting it elsewhere sure but it's asking for a URL.

On the stomach thing.. Maybe the ISO clean and let dry still required a water wipe as well? Not sure why it's made me feel that way upon using it.
My bad I was vaping totally wrote the wrong color lol. Yeah idk if you can post it directly? Can you pinch some of the bud and try it that way like @slcbdco suggested and let us know how it goes?

I payed off my 2002 Honda S2000 which is super reliable and a joy to drive. When I get my GH I'll break it in inside my car lol. Thanks for the advice though

I went back and forth through email and kept claiming it happens upon handling yet I kept telling them.. How?! I haven't used it!!

I used it some time after I gave up on the emails.. Man I'm praying not to deal with warranty now

Have you tried wiping it with a microfiber cloth anyway? I imagine it got handled a fair bit in production, so it might be worth a shot.

I ridiculously succumbed to some marketing from Terrapin Care Station and grinded up some Agent Organe and Dark Blue Dream to support our Broncos right? Take a few rips ...

@slcbdco ,
here's a safer way to support the Broncos ;)

One can just admire the Broncos grinder.........not
Admire and then dive in

I usually go at 75%, but I wanted to make sure that you were decent at halfway. I have gotten in a bad habit of only vaping it for about 3-4 hits and then changing. AVB is dark tan, but I know it still has some left. Make for potent avb later on :p

Sorry to hear about your color. Bright blue stands out more? It could be harsher on the eyes, maybe you got lucky :)

Yummy potent ABV is my fav for tincture. I will try it at halfway soon and see if I get a reaction or not. Thanks for the info I'm hoping it helps. The blue looks grey in most lighting it's only white lighting you see any kind of blue..

Try using it with a small chunk?

Yeah man, I mentioned the blue when people started receiving them. Most of the photos looked nothing like the ones from the website. Though there were some "wild" images in certain lighting that looked similar..

also, i get chest pains with my AA. think its the draw resistance.
Draw resistance?

yeah, how hard it is to take a drag... like back in the day if a joint was rolled too tight. maybe the GH is being packed too tight?
Yea that's what someone else mentioned. So all signs point to possible user error.

Day 4 update SS Hopper #12XX

-45 chambers in
-used the hopper all day long.
-back end is still working great, clicker super tight and responsive.
-adjustment dial working great, not too tight not too loose.
-no back end heat issues
-no arcs yet either
-USB continues to amaze me with its fast charge. After a chamber (12 draws) it fully charges in 10-12 minutes.
-weighed amount of herb I have been using, .25-.3 per chamber.
-getting nice taste and vapor at temp 1, I can definitely tell the difference when I turn it up to 2 or 3.
-I noticed I get a much more satisfying 1st draw with more taste & vapor if I do a 3 second "primer puff" (like the FW3) once the lights turn blue.
-temp stepped it while using it with no problems at all
-getting pretty much the exact same results as I did from day 1
-ABV nice, uniform and light tan
-still vaping between temps 1-2.5 without water but with session extender. Have not ventured into the 4-5 zone yet that will come later with larger water pieces
-I am now used to the session extender, too bad my hopper doesn't fit in the leather sleeve with the tip on
-I tried the hopper with small water devices with extreme success (see pics)
-when using small water devices I start on 2 and finish at a notch past 3
-I notice I get about 3 less draws per chamber (roughly 8-9 as opposed to 10-12) with the water because it's so smooth and cool I can draw much longer so it probably evens out because I'm taking longer draws. I feel I'm getting the same extraction per chamber in fewer draws through water
-taste is incredible through a very small amount of water
-no problems to report today.
-decided I need to get a titanium Grasshopper to test in the same method side by side to see the difference other than weight (taste, cool down between hits compared to SS, efficiency, battery life, etc).
-looking for a Ti GH to test if anyone is in the know. I want to see if it is worth the extra money.
-my SS hopper has been treating me fantastic, I feel I need to know the reliability of a Ti under same conditions
-I now feel confident to bring my hopper without needing a back up vape. It has been extremely reliable (its only been 4 days so I still carry a back up) I feel confident but I have to be prepared just in case.
-All is still very well.

See below for how I used the hopper with water with the greatest success.

I cut a 1 inch piece of SSV hose and slid it up past the tapered part of the MP just shy of 1/4".

The SSV hose fits nice and snug inside my W9 Tech Nibbler G spill proof water pill.

It also pairs very nicely with my little Cloud V spill proof water tube.
I added a silicone tip because I was using this set up in my car and didn't want to smack a tooth on the glass. Potholes.....suck.

Doctor, doctor, doctor ! Yet another stellar review/experience, thank you. In my diligent reading of this forum, I ascertain that many of the failure issues, and back end heat issues, were caused by inconsistent threading torque when re-assembling the unit during a battery exchange. So, are you using your grasshopper having only recharged the original battery with the USB charger, and not having unscrewed the back end ? Thanx !

:myday:

Nice write up. I have the Ti so I'm curious if there is a difference and wow I didn't know about the water adapters! Thanks!

I'm also curious about the change battery and back end issues.

From earlier I tried the grasshopper again with half a chamber loosely packed and no stomach ache or tightness in chest.

@studmuffin Thank you good Sir!
I am alternating.
The first 2 days I used the I4 charger and the last 2 days I have been using the USB charger.
I am trying to see which is a more efficient way to charge the batteries.
So far the USB charger has been very quick to charge the batteries.
I will be including charge times from fully dead to fully charged with the I4 and USB in one of my next posts.

Thank you @luckypucky! You are very welcome! The Nibbler G style water pill is available on DHGate for $13-$15 shipped. I have not tried the DHGate version, but the Nibbler G compliments the GH very nicely!

I am glad to hear that you are no longer getting stomach aches. Check out a water pill. It may be just what you need! It cools down the vapor tremendously and uses very little water so you don't loose much flavor at all. Plus it's spill proof!

If there's anything I haven't touched on that anyone would like to know please ask!!!

Thanks for the info doc, how slow or fast do you pull on heat settings 1 and 2..? I notice no clouds at those settings.. Not that I'm aiming for big ones I just would like to see that I did get a hit lol

On the nibbler what's the site that sells it for that amount? I looked up DHgate and got other sites.

Again thank you and everyone for the helpful info!

@Vapetrees a "primer puff" is taking a draw for a few seconds to get the hot air moving, stopping the draw, exhaling and starting to draw again. That's how you activate the heater in the FW3 by primer puffing. I do this with my EVO a lot too.

At first your inhaling more hot air than vapor which irritates my throat so I pull some hot air out then start to draw.
Like when I use the volcano. I get a flashlight, turn on the fan, then wait until I see vapor before attaching the bag. This way it's all vapor and IMO smoother.

@luckypucky On a scale of 1 being the weakest and 10 the strongest, I would say I draw at about a 6 on average.
Primer puffing helps a lot at low temps. I actually get pretty decent vapor for the lowest setting.
I'm not blowing huge clouds but about the same vapor production I get off my MFLB.
On temp 3 I get a lot more vapor but the vapor is a little harsher at hotter temps. The little water pills truly make a huge difference cooling the vapor and you can see the vapor forming in the pill which is nice!
