Day 4 update SS Hopper #12XX
-45 chambers in
-used the hopper all day long.
-back end is still working great, clicker super tight and responsive.
-adjustment dial working great, not too tight not too loose.
-no back end heat issues
-no arcs yet either
-USB continues to amaze me with its fast charge. After a chamber (12 draws) it fully charges in 10-12 minutes.
-weighed amount of herb I have been using, .25-.3 per chamber.
-getting nice taste and vapor at temp 1, I can definitely tell the difference when I turn it up to 2 or 3.
-I noticed I get a much more satisfying 1st draw with more taste & vapor if I do a 3 second "primer puff" (like the FW3) once the lights turn blue.
-temp stepped it while using it with no problems at all
-getting pretty much the exact same results as I did from day 1
-ABV nice, uniform and light tan
-still vaping between temps 1-2.5 without water but with session extender. Have not ventured into the 4-5 zone yet that will come later with larger water pieces
-I am now used to the session extender, too bad my hopper doesn't fit in the leather sleeve with the tip on
-I tried the hopper with small water devices with extreme success (see pics)
-when using small water devices I start on 2 and finish at a notch past 3
-I notice I get about 3 less draws per chamber (roughly 8-9 as opposed to 10-12) with the water because it's so smooth and cool I can draw much longer so it probably evens out because I'm taking longer draws. I feel I'm getting the same extraction per chamber in fewer draws through water
-taste is incredible through a very small amount of water
-no problems to report today.
-decided I need to get a titanium Grasshopper to test in the same method side by side to see the difference other than weight (taste, cool down between hits compared to SS, efficiency, battery life, etc).
-looking for a Ti GH to test if anyone is in the know. I want to see if it is worth the extra money.
-my SS hopper has been treating me fantastic, I feel I need to know the reliability of a Ti under same conditions
-I now feel confident to bring my hopper without needing a back up vape. It has been extremely reliable (its only been 4 days so I still carry a back up) I feel confident but I have to be prepared just in case.
-All is still very well.
See below for how I used the hopper with water with the greatest success.
I cut a 1 inch piece of SSV hose and slid it up past the tapered part of the MP just shy of 1/4".
The SSV hose fits nice and snug inside my W9 Tech Nibbler G spill proof water pill.
It also pairs very nicely with my little Cloud V spill proof water tube.
I added a silicone tip because I was using this set up in my car and didn't want to smack a tooth on the glass. Potholes.....suck.
