@Vapetrees a "primer puff" is taking a draw for a few seconds to get the hot air moving, stopping the draw, exhaling and starting to draw again. That's how you activate the heater in the FW3 by primer puffing. I do this with my EVO a lot too.

At first your inhaling more hot air than vapor which irritates my throat so I pull some hot air out then start to draw.
Like when I use the volcano. I get a flashlight, turn on the fan, then wait until I see vapor before attaching the bag. This way it's all vapor and IMO smoother.

@luckypucky On a scale of 1 being the weakest and 10 the strongest, I would say I draw at about a 6 on average.
Primer puffing helps a lot at low temps. I actually get pretty decent vapor for the lowest setting.
I'm not blowing huge clouds but about the same vapor production I get off my MFLB.
On temp 3 I get a lot more vapor but the vapor is a little harsher at hotter temps. The little water pills truly make a huge difference cooling the vapor and you can see the vapor forming in the pill which is nice!
Really valuable information thank you. I'm going to be ready for when mine arrives.

It's surprising to me the difference in behavior among units. Vape Dr mentions the fast charge time where I've experienced the exact opposite. I can take a fully charged battery, hit it twice, and it'll take 20 minutes to fully charge again. Normally takes a unit an hr to fully charge from dead. I use the USB charger with an HTC cell phone base, my desktop pc at work, or direct to USB power in my car and kitchen. Seems like we've heard other variances around temp, flavor by setting, & general functionality as well. The one I sent the warranty request in for (the one I have to flick the clicker) seems to be working very well now, almost close to 100% over the last couple days. Seems to be the opposite of many other reports where they start off working perfectly then shit the bed within a couple days/weeks (like 3 of the ones I've used did).

I've been happy with the performance on this one as of late. Do wish you could get more out of one load though. Definitely a lot of pack hit, pack hit, pack hit, etc...

Nice write up. I have the Ti so I'm curious if there is a difference and wow I didn't know about the water adapters! Thanks!

I'm also curious about the change battery and back end issues.

From earlier I tried the grasshopper again with half a chamber loosely packed and no stomach ache or tightness in chest.
yes. review is good. but i don't like a way he got his Hopper. some backer friend of his added one more unit to his order for him, i bet. not cool at all. so we all wait some time longer because of folks like that. thumbs down.

I would be topping off the battery too. It just takes longer than ten minutes, even after very little use.

As fas as an alternative to the primer puff Vape Dr, I've been enjoying putting the first hit on 3.5 (produces nice taste and big cloud) and then bringing it back down to 2 or 2.5 for the rest of the load.

Edit: to my previous point about unit variance, now it appears that more bodies are getting swapped out vs back ends.

To restore color in the Ti I recommend using ISO on the Ti, not a microfiber. All the microfiber will do is spread out the oils you are trying to remove. Getting prcecise colors with Ti is an art in and of itself, you can get three or four variations of blue depending on the power supply used and its stability, surface finish, etch, etc.

Isnt "topping up" batteries detrimental to its overall life?
yes it is. batteries live longer if they do full cycles of discharge/charge.

but i'm not sure about first time use though. some say it is better to drain the battery fully before charging it for a first time. some say to fully charge before first use.

I think it depends on the cell life. My 2 worn batteries charge in 20 minutes exactly from red flashing lights. The two week old batteries take about 45 minutes (this is all from i4).

That seems like a big difference- how old are the older ones?
I don't know that much about batteries, but is this normal? I'd hoped they would last a lot longer...

Completely not true with Lithium-Ion or IMR's (which I believe the Grasshooper batteries are.)

Top up whenever you want. Just like you do your cell phone, laptop, etc. Same as I do for all my vape batteries. What you don't want to happen is to have them completely discharged. Having them discharge below 3.4v is a big no-no for these batteries. The GH's protection should not let the battery get that low. I think another member confirmed that it doesn't, that it stops around 3.6v before the lights start to flash.

Awesome input, I thought I had read that on here before but I wasn't sure so I didn't post lol.

Ok you fuco's (short for fuckcombustion no insult intended) convinced me, I just preorder a SS hopper. I will wait along with you. They estimate april 2016, but who really knows.

No I know how the kids feel...are we there yet? How much longer? Etc etc

So, got my replacement body today. There's a blob of plastic or silicone or something inside the chamber, I guess it is the same stuff the insulation is made of. New body is on the left. There are some differences- the way the screen is attached, and the insulator looks slightly different.

See the stuff inside the chamber, on the side farthest from the camera?

Sorry, having trouble with imgur- isn't there a way to get a link that is specific for forums? Can't seem to find it in the app or browser version.

It's looks like it's thinner, is that the case, and you can see the holes on the insulator more clearly.

It does kind of look thinner, but I don't think it actually is- towards the inside of the ring of holes it is shaped a little differently , sort of beveled...

oh forget it, cant get the pics to imbed!

(Thanks for fixing it mod! Not sure what I was doing wrong)
