I think it would be better for FV and customers that they increase the price of 10 bucks and have a tracking). I hope you receive it soon, but one month seems to be lost, or a french postman enjoy the vape !

I think the abv on the left (the pic on the last page) looks just like a load out of my mflb when I vape it to hell and back to the point it tastes like shit...no combustion, but about as close as you can get.

I don't think my post office can help, I will try tomorrow to ask if they have something for me stuck there but its like 1% probability. I have to ship back some crap anyway

The manufacturer says they are going to check with Canada postal services.

Unfortunately it is 30$ more for the tracking, that's why they don't consider the option.

I was about to receive the FV as a gift, so I didn't loss any money. I may order another one later

The top screen is removable but might not be easy to get back in place.

yes, you can soak the whole top cap in alcohol without any problem. however, you may find it is better to unscrew the bezel and remove the glass crystal for a more thorough cleaning.

We will be releasing the mesh filter screen as a replacment part as well very soon. As mentioned in an earlier thread, the mesh is not hard to remove and replace by hand, if you are careful. There were also some techniques discussed earlier, I will edit this post after finding it for your easy reference.

The black tube is heat shrink tubing, and is OK to soak in alcohol without any problem.

Disassembly beyond normal operation voids the warranty. If you unscrew the top of the heater, then I think you've lost the warranty. (Sorry, Pipes.)

I offered to my wife a "safe" e-cig called Mini-Did in stainless steel, made in Greece, and the system called "Genesis" employs stainless steel mesh to make yourself the wick, you can see the mesh that's rolled to form a wick (with the coil around) :

And I have some of these sheets (A4) of mesh in 200, 325 and 400.... so it's very easy to make a new screen with just scissors ............ this is a good information for your destroyed screen Pakalolo

Don't worry, mine did exactly that. Showed like that even after I got it a day or so later. Never got scanned again near as I can tell? Was still in SF. Yet I had it. Computers, you know.

My Solo was at temp max (7) and no more vapor came, and I have a SS bowl too......
What do you mean by "a steel herb chamber cloud style I made" ? Have you pictures ?

That ABV above looks like the result of having combusted in the FV. As many members can attest, after some practice with using the FV, combustion can be easily avoided using the different techniques discussed in detail throughout the thread.

here is a picture of pakalolo's tiny 0.05g load's ABV after 23 hits* in the FV, WITHOUT combustion:



A picture speaks a thousand words, but can also be misleading. The FV is a very powerful vape, that gives almost INSTANT, ON DEMAND performance. It is versatile, and good for a variety of applications using different blends, both organic herbs and solid concentrates. However, it is a powerful machine and must be used with some level of restraint when first learning to master its usage. If you are combusting, a little shorter power-on time, or a little faster pace of draw speed will change how this vape behaves. Once you get used to how it works, vaping with the FV will come as second nature to you, and you will really be able to enjoy the FV's abundant power to the fullest. But before you are comfortable with unleashing the beast, please take it easy first... practice makes perfect!

Edit: Just put my Pax on the charger and dropped a whole nug into the FV for fun, no grinding. It's roasting along nicely indeed. Will have to crumble it up in a bit, but boy is the flavour off this thing fantastic. I really notice how pure it is, especially after coming right from using the Pax.

It's very versatile, if you want to cook through a load, push it, get big hits and good vapor.
If you need to be a little stealth, go easy on her, great taste longer, less visible vapor with the same end result!

As I said in the original post, the contrast made it look darker than it was. I can assure you that none of that ABV was burnt. I know combustion when I reach it, and that stuff did not come close.

Honestly it's a pretty unique vape so it's hard to know if you'd like it until you live with it for more than a week.

Well put, JKA. It is a different sort of beast. Very set in it's ways and unlikely to change no matter how nice you ask. I too got into trouble at first by assuming I understood it and how it should work. The results can be pretty random that way. But once I started with a base plan that worked OK (five second preheat, medium draw for me) and ran a series of 'small step, cautious experiments' to learn where the boundaries were it got much better. It's kinda neat how quickly it became natural to get 'results on demand' once I stopped fighting it and did it the way the FV wanted.......

And between you and brother Pak you've just made me all the happier I gave Pax the pass a bit ago. That kinda performance I already have elsewhere and am not using it out of choice. Color me strange for not going for a pretty little vape that eats expensively and tastes poorly. I had a girlfriend like that years ago, glad I moved on there too.

Great thing this here Forum. Your experiences shared here keep guys like me from 'going there' so we can use our money for other vapes and false drugs.....as it should be.

I think you can add a little explanation on how to use, like: "For the 8/10 first bowls, open the lid after the first three or four puffs to ensure that the material does not stick to the screen, if this is the case, gently peel off the grass with the brush supplied with the kit. Once this breaking is complete, you will just have to shake the FlashVAPE, the grass will not stick anymore. This breaking should be done at each change of screen "

I pulled it out by one of the tabs, held it there in a clamp and nuked it with the mini torch until it glowed. This burned it clean (removing the smell in the process) but it also discolored (oxidized) the screen (no real problem with performance of course). Since then there has been no sticking of anything?

It's what we do to make a wick. To oxidize the mesh allows the ss to be not conductive, prerequisite for a Genesis system (or we have short circuit ... no good at all !)...... it's not the purpose here, of course. And you notice that the material really does not stick to the screen after this operation, OF ?

If it works, it's worth it to do it for FV at manufacturing
