i don't like plastics generally. it's a political thing. but I accept some in my life, and this doesn't feel excessively plastic-y. This feels well-built enough. I get the impression this will last me for many years.

it has a nice weight to it.

overall impression of quality is similar to what i have read of its predecessor. I believe they've beefed up the quality internally, from what i've read on this thread. external differences appear negligible.

    "XP" on the sticker.

Packaging and accessories appears identical to its predecessor, from a youtube video I watched. It does not come with a hard case -- just the box and the accessories. Nice box though.

I doubt they've updated the manual, as there would be no reason to (there's no reference to any model number,). The manual is in English et aussi en francais. (BC love shoutout to Quebec!)

I like that this company is focused on product moreso than packaging, and I mean that in a broad sense, whereby the Pax would be flashier, efforts here appear very focused on the matter at hand.

What else can I say? I'm stoked.

Waiting for a new thread to post up the pics. Identical-looking though, so don't be too hype on that. I'll post one with a ruler for the measurements and of the sticker, for you know, like proof. Cuz I feel like fucking hero right now... hahaha!!

I've moved 14 posts from this thread into the new one. Unfortunately I can't alter the post times, so the first post is no longer the opening post from JoeKickass.

This software doesn't handle what I did the way I think it should. JoeKickass made a nice opening post and it seemed logical to take the XP-related posts and move them, but that buried the opening post. This has happened to me before and it bugs me a lot. This time I could easily move them back so I did. The new thread is just fine without these posts.

    wasn't there a wiki?

Yes, there is a wiki but it doesn't tell you how to pull of the cap the first time after cursing at it. Most don't check the wiki. I personally don't mind answering questions for those who aren't just asking to be lazy. Some how you can tell by the way they pose it. In one thread there was a question and the answer was three posts above theirs...that is lazy.

ya i totally appreciate dreamerr on this... sometimes you just can't read a whole 100 page thread, and search thread doesn't quite get what you want either. as a newcomer here i can definitely say Dreamerr's vibe has been awesome and welcoming, and it really makes for a great experience and the thoroughness of her answers have the effect of further vesting the person she's responding to into the forum, which paradoxically leads to *less* laziness, know what i'm saying?

i shot my video today btw. it's OK. i'm almost embarrassed cuz it's so nothing new to *look* at compared to the old one and I've hyped it enough already. but ya i went to start uploading it was totally choking my upload pipe. i'm a web developer and it was costing me, so i cancelled out half way and will finish the rest tonight while i'm asleep...

You make a girl blush poonman, simmy and tiki. I am glad to help. People helped me and I believe in passing it forward.

Now in the other thread someone please tell me about that number sticker...is it still the same so we have to still wrap it? Is the dial still loose enough that it can turn on in your pocket?

Hey I am curiou if anyone has any thoughts on using bubble hash in this thing. I typically like to make a salad of herb, bubble, herb. Not sure how that would work with the cartridges. I am interested in this unit but this is fairly important as a feature. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
