Please help! Am I going mad or is there no website at all in the UK that sells these adaptors?? I really want to hook my newly acquired SSV to a water devise but after searching for two days there doesnt seem to be anywhere at all in the UK that stocks these adaptors so im totally stuck! If anybody out there could point me in the right direction of where i may be able to pick up one of these i would be eternally grateful!

I am not familiar with UK/EU retailers (I do know members Raf007 and FLSkwat run a shop outta France) so I can't comment there. What kind of piece did you get, are you sure you need an adapter? My hose fits into a male 18mm piece (I know cause my dbl fem broke for my DG tube and I ghetto rigged it for a cpl weeks that way) and the hose should fit into a standard 14mm downstream iirc. Obviously you may not want these as long term solutions but at least you get to play with the new toy til one can get mailed to you.

Mine just arrived today. I set it up, let it burn off for a while, then went to town. This is the vaping experience I've been waiting for. Holy shit. Super easy and effective. Biggest clouds I ever blew. Instantly. Portables take time.
I wish there were a natural material for a hose. Can't we weave a hemp hose, someone??
I have my fattie in the deep freeze for a test drive later.
I can't tell you haw many times over the years I have has a SSV loaded on a shopping cart ready to hit BUY NOW and I never did for some reason. Glad I stopped waiting.
Question: Can I leave the bowl connected with the hands free and still leave the unit on? Seems like I could, then just reach down and take a pull every so often?

Hey puffers, Haven't actually got the glass yet but I have got my eyes on a couple of pieces, just waiting for my pay check to land before ordering! I did think about the possibility of putting the pipe in direct but wasn't sure how good the connection/seal would be and being a noob with glass/water wasn't sure how important that was so I thought it best to be on the safe side and get the adaptor. Its not so much the delivery time from USA that concerns me, I would be willing to wait its the silly charges we get hit with for importing from the USA, we get hit with huge import tax plus 20% VAT then an extra £13 for the courier to collect from the UK customs, this is all on top of the delivery charges! I did pay all this when I imported my limited edition SSV direct from 7th Floor but I can't justify that kind of money just for an adaptor but I simply can't find anywhere in the UK that stocks them!

Yes, yes sir you can!! The SSV is purely convection so NO heat is touching your herb until you start pulling. I love this feature about my SSV because I may be in a rush or just want a buzz to do some errands & not get lifted to the next level.
Btw, the SSV gets better with time. It's like a fine wine. Day one doesn't compare to six months down the road. My sesh lasted about 5 hits my first time; year and a half later, they last 15-20 hits.

Willie, I believe if you leave it connected you will get some conduction unless you turn the heat all the way down. The heater cover gets really hot. I wouldn't trust leaving it like that anyhow. Just lay the want down next to the SSV pick it up and take a hit. Leave the unit on the heat level you like. I am eventually going to make a hanger for both sides of the want on the side of my dresser for that purpose.
Now on a funny note willie can you compare the pax to the ssv

Look at his vape list ataxian. He hasn't used anything with good taste except now with the ssv. When he got the pax I had just gotten the INH which I still think was a better choice. But you know your love your solo and so do I. The PN is giving it a good run for the money.
I think with willie using the SSV he will get VAS and start looking for different portables. What do you think willie? There is a whole new market and some are really looking good...the ascent comes to mind.

Taste is so important, we should show more respect to this wonderful plant!

The hose is not just plastic, but a specially made high heat formula. To make it supple enough 7th floor had it formulated just for them. They had to commit to buy enough to go around the earth 9 times to have the formula made.
I used my 1st SSV hose for over 2 years before changing it.

It was cleaned every couple of days for those 2 years.

Right, and it's nicely supple and all. I just try and avoid plastics, especially when heated.

'twas a stoner moment indeed. As I perfect my technique with this baby, I combusted a couple of times and have been cleaning glass. Is there some kind of fabric wand or such that folks like? For wiping, not scrubbing. I have a 99% Iso bath in a quart jar and I have soaked the glass parts with minimal residue on them so they come out clean, but need to be wiped down inside.
The padded backpack deal is nice but I have more glass than padded pockets.
This is really a performance piece of goods. Very happy.

Willie as I mentioned with the clip to hold the wand in the hc you need to be careful with glass and not think things are truly hands free. I do let go of my connection when I have to move something or whatever but for the most part my hand stays on the glass on both ends. If I had a fatty I would use my one hand to hold both pieces so basically holding the middle where it connects. I am sorry it broke so soon. Dial that heat down.
