I agree it would be pretty but I'd rather not see anything complicate the FV. Lighting would make it cost more and would be another thing to fail, not to mention use up your battery. :2c:

I'm glad I'm not the only one to try the laser pointer idea. I'm also glad someone else brought it up first....

Interesting idea, isn't it? Not as useful as it first seems IMO. You really can 'get a feel' for it I think.

But 10mn after, I can vape again with my favorite vaporizer ....... I will show you what I did with my FV, to wait the glasses ;)

For now, thanks to an elastic and food stretch film !!! French "Système D" !

We don't see very well the chamber sorry (hard to light inside while making video)
    First inhalation, about 15 seconds
    Second inhalation, about 13 seconds

More energy wasted I guess, but big puffs !
(I will order 2 batteries more with the glasses ;))

Now you got my drift, this is what I was trying to convey last Friday post #499, and your comments below on #500.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then your video is worth a million!

For me, watching it is key to regulating the start/stop and speed of the draw, cause I still struggle with it if I can't see into the window using it this way.

Please, tell us that you sucking hard inhale hard (sorry I don't know the right words in english)..... inhalation is the key with a time like 12s. !

It's all good, no apologies needed.
It's just good to hear someone else using this technique for the big hits without combusting.
Glad to hear that mine isn't under-powered.
Reading some of the posts, some owners are combusting at 5-6 seconds?

And I also don't understand what I read sometimes either: (haha)

Of course, try to let 5/6 seconds without inhale nothing (with full charged battery)... but it depends also if you have a new bowl of fresh herbs or if you have already vape the bowl (herbs more dry)
A little air intake changes all between vaping and... burning !

1% because I'm a biker from an onepercenter MC (Motorcycle Club)
And the sentence is from an old french movie "Les tontons flingueurs"..... but it's hard to explain for me ! The translation is: "It is curious, in sailor's world, the need to make sentences"

I had all but given up for today, but a late delivery. :D
My initial impressions are :D! I like it! I fugin' like it!
Put the 2 batteries that came with it on the charger and threw in an old laptop
3.7V battery I salvaged that I use for my flashlights. I didn't even look at the instructions,
threw some herb in (just a very small amount) and hit the power button for 3 seconds and then just blipped the power button intuitively for a second or so at a time after that and when I saw a vapor I waited a few seconds for cool down and inhale. Heat again for a second or two and wait 2 and inhale. No burning - very intuitive to use by just pulsing the power button. I can see some people having a problem with this, but only because they are too st*ned to pay attention. I use my Vapman the same way by pulsing the torch lighter on the bowl and seeing if I get vapor. If not, hit it again with the flame for a second and pull on it and see if you get vapor. I find it easy, a friend of mine just can't without burning it.
Next, I put about 1/10g in the bowl. (that's about what the Vapman bowl will hold and amount I usually use) and just pulsed the power button through it as above. Worked even better than I thought it would. I would open it up after every few vapes and give it a stir with the included brush and evenly browned the herb with no fire.
I've tried a Magic Flight Box and this is that thing x 10 and this Flashvape will actually get you medicated. ;) Solid build, great design. Love how it just fits the hand and the silver power button just falls under the thumb or index finger depending on your grip. This thing definitely has a place in my line-up. :D
Was thinking of a Cera, but honestly can't see that now. I've also have around a dozen batteries lying around that will work in this thing, so unlimited power.

Yes it's better to have more batteries than 2 ;)..... I prefer change battery for every new bowl, even if one battery can be used for more than one (that's why I order again 2 more batteries to FV)

It's exactly what I wrote in the french thread of the FlashVAPE, it's not for too stoned persons !!!........ or women (haven't you seen them at driving a car !!!).... No no please, don't it me in the head !!! :goon::rofl:

I would like to say also that I changed my mind about what I said here :

Now I'm more with my FlashVAPE (outside sure ! but also inside my house) than the Solo...... and now that I control the FV I prefer the taste of the FV, purest....Like how things are changing and there is that the idiots who don't change their minds !
Same for the amount/puffs......not sure now :D
(I was selling my Solo but the guy never paid !... so I'm still with it -and I still sell it - but now I don't need to wait the XP or the Cera to replace it, like I was thinking.... the FlashVAPE is pushing out gently the Solo !!!!)

    Mine arrived today!

To echo vtac's first impressions, the packaging is impressive for a vape startup company. The instructions are well thought out and very explanatory. They are now including an insert detailing the other methods for usage described here...Tweek and Pak, you are now published vapers!

The first thing I thought was this is named the flashvape due to the inspiration it got from the flashlight. Damn thing looks just like one! It feels sturdy and well built and I like the feel of it. Opening and closing the chamber is simplistic and enjoyable.

I can tell already that this unit will not be competing with the MFLB, Pax or DaVinci simply due to its size. It's a portable, but not a stealth portable. I will break out all the toys later for a comparison group shot, but I think it probably stands as tall as the Solo with a stem in it...pretty big for a portable. But I won't have to hold it like the Solo (with an extra finger holding the stem in place while walking) since the stem fits snugly..I could easily hide it without worrying about parts falling out, etc.

Now to the testing! Batteries are charging...

So... Is there something wrong with me?

This is the easiest device to use. I suppose with all my Ecig atomizer and MFLB experience, this thing is already second nature.

And all the hype... Isn't hype. It's a really great device with awesome flavor extraction, power and great ability to make the most of what you put into it.

    Well done FV.

When Kief Boy came over, that was his experience as well. Not only that but he immediately developed his own hit technique that was nothing like mine or anything I advised him to do. He's had LB experience too, as I think I mentioned.

I've always worried that people would get the wrong impression of the FlashVAPE. It's not inevitable that you'll hit combustion before you figure it out, but you need to be aware of the chance.

Hello there, I've been using this vape for about a week now, tried about 10-15 different sessions and have not had what I would consider much success. I'm also an owner of an Arizer Solo, so perhaps I'm expecting larger hits or a more powerful vaporizer, I'm not sure but that is my only other vaporizer I'm familiar with to compare..

Tonight I was really contemplating returning the device, and when I went to pack everything up I noticed the black rubber ring around the 2nd screen (the one on the detachable head which holds the glass piece) was dislodged and the screen was off-kilter; when I went to put it back on, the whole thing came loose and I'm having a difficult time getting the screen back on. Could this be causing a problem (IE: could some vapor be escaping maybe due to this..?), or could I have gotten a dud, or are my standards just too high? I see YouTube videos and frankly I've not once been able to get anything resembling visible vapor clouds :-/
