For those in the U.S. who have taken delivery of the FV: Would someone out there mind checking their tracking and tell me whether yours was marked "Delivered" on the canadapost.com website? My hope is that there is at least enough tracking to show when a package was never delivered. The website shows 3 stages: Accepted, In Transit, and Delivered.

Thanks LeTchen, I forgot OF already gave me the answer about the stem size a week or so ago, I just had a brain Fart there for a while. I think I'll make a home for a FV.

I feel for ya. I am going through the same thing right now with a package (not from FV). Have you tried calling customer service? Sometimes they have a little more insight. For example, I had no clue there was an address issue with delivery until I called.

Received my FV and I am loving it so far! Like others have mentioned it takes technique. I like the analogy of manual vs automatic. I played around with it all night to find my groove. WARNING for all newbies and casual Vaporists...THIS THING REQUIRES YOU TO PAY ATTENTION.

Once, I let my mind wander off for a second or two and BLAM....combustion...you have been warned!

Now.... once you get your technique dialed in this thing will do it all very efficiently.

I am finding that a combination of the "Lb" method followed by the "Pak" method and when the bowl is almost spent I switch to the "Tweek" method and I get a nicely even browned roast and pretty complete extraction. The "Tweek" method works great at the end and minimizes the risk of combustion. Although at this point I only take 2 to 3 second micro sips as opposed to 4 to 5 seconds that would be more appropriate for a fresh bowl.

This thing feels very solid and of high quality. My only concern is that I know I'm gonna end up losing one or both of the stems but we'll see.

More to come as I explore....

They're going to offer top screens for replacement, but to get yours back in:
-Shape the screen so it fits nicely
-Place screen in and a bit of o-ring
-Using two or more fingers, go around the o-ring in both directions pushing it down until you meet on the other side.

It takes patience... but that is what I did eventually. Thanks though!

Edit: I want to add I also have a different method from others. I have perfected my draw rate to be slow enough to be able to hold the button continuously and inhale simultaneously. I can get this going for 7-9 seconds depending where the material is at. Shorter times are needed when the material becomes closer to the ABV stage.

This is definitely more advanced because you need to be able to be the cooler for the unit so you don't combust.

it fits loosely... same as the FV stems without shrink tube.
That means you would need something on the tip of the wooden stem.
You coulod use the shrink tube, if hopefully you do not tempt fate using a lighter..... and use a hair dryer.

You can also use the same tracking number on USPS.com to see if you can get more details of the shipment while in the USA. It typically takes only upto 5 days for delivery to any US destinations only... please check with your local post office also, as sometimes items are sitting at the most office waiting for your pickup, and maybe the note left at the door was blown away by wind or ?

Do you mean 5 days after it clears customs? That sounds more accurate.

btw, usps.com only indicates when it's cleared customs, but nothing after that.

no, i mean from time we ship out, to time it gets delivered, usually 5 business days or less. however, i think this must be one of those cases where the item is misrouted somewhere and is slowly making its way through the system. thats what it sounds like to me....

I should have said 5 days after it first hits customs, not clears customs - seemed to be what others were experiencing recently, but maybe that was atypical. Not surprised I would arrive just in time for a multi-pronged cluster-fuck in the postal service.

This is what I did at first since it is how I hit my mflb. Super tricky to do with this vape as I combusted on the first try. I'm glad to hear you got it to work, as it's my favorite way to hit a conduction vape. I'll keep at it...

Read the thread before, it's what we do, looking throught the glass to see the vapor... with that, we can adjust the inhalation. Now I have no time limit, but usually about 15 seconds inhalation.
You can count the inhalation time in the video I posted, with a water filter

Thanx Vitolo, that makes the FV much more user frendlly in my case, I don't get along well with small glass pieces. Lack of feeling whats in my hands, the glass stems for the MFLB lasted less then an Hour.
don't want to repeat that mistake.

According to usps tracking it spent approximately 10 days in customs alone. I know some others experienced a lengthy delay in customs also. This is hopefully an unusual fluke situation, or it may have to do with increased shipments to the U.S. being inspected more closely compared to onesies and twosies? Hopefully mine will be delivered today. Today marks 2 weeks since I ordered it - Monday is 2 weeks since it was shipped.

Edit: Or maybe a customs official took mine home to test it!

I would hope so, damn 10 days is terrible...

The thing I noticed is the customs papers said "aromatherapy vaporizer" or something eyebrow raising like that so I'm sure they get looked at, but still it's just a flashlight in a cardboard box so it's not exactly hard to test for drugs...
