Hmmm, mail has not come yet, and when I refresh my tracking number, it gives me an error, item not found. If Canada Post lost this I am going to go Ape. Bananas will be tossed.

Hello All, I have been following this thread since around page 9. I feel like I know you guys already. I had been trying to find more information on Cera and when it was shipping and I was lucky to run into this. If I hadn't found this thread I would have definitely cancelled my pre-order. However I had researched a couple different brands and heard great things about TET products.

@ Tweek ~ i feel for you, I would be driving around stalking the post man :)

@ Darb ~ Did you get your Cera yet?

@ OF ~ Thank you for all the updates you provided all of us.

This is going to be my first vape and cant wait to start vaping and hopefully stop combusting.

As you can see, most orders at this point are being pushed back almost two months from what we were led to believe. THIS is what causes the unrest, TET has run into their own snags and because of this it really impacted them. Even just basing it on the people who said they cancelled in the forums. As much as I want the Cera and am trying to keep my head up, I do wish there was better communication from TET about the progress of everything.
My unrest mostly comes from wanting to get my hands on it so badly! That and as soon as the mail man shows up with my batteries I'll have 8! 2250, 2600 and 3400mAH. I'm more than ready to explore the Cera and give as much info to you guys that I possibly can. I still have a special surprise for everyone once it shows up!

Well it's a brand new day and I must admit I feel better about the whole situation now that I have had time to reflect on what transpired yesterday. I am sorry if I created a bummer vibe. I don't have anything against "the people" at TET, but I do think that their customer service has been asked several times (by management) to change the projected ship dates and they are having a real hard time keeping the natives from growing restless. (after having shaved it off only yesterday  ) It turns out more units are going out as we speak, and I should be squared away pretty soon...

:myday: I guess I have had experiences in my life that have made me find situations like this repugnant. I once worked for a company that sold custom made items. There was a situation towards the end that was similar to this for me I had been taking non-refundable 50% deposits on multi thousand dollar items. The turn around time for the products was roughly 4-6 weeks. The management of my company assured us reps that all of the orders would be filled on time. Come to find out the company (secretly) started a bankruptcy procedure and used the deposit money to pay down debt. All the while they were fiddling with inventory numbers (to make it appear that things were on schedule and stock was arriving on time) When in fact it was not. I could not go to the local grocery store without people approaching me, calling me a liar, and threatening to sue me personally (for being the one that lied to them, and convinced them to put down a deposit that would possibly not ever be returned to them) It was a pretty nasty scene for several months. Another nice trick this company pulled was not keeping up on health insurance payments for the employees so when someone got sick and had to go to the hospital ONLY THEN did they find out that their insurance contributions from the employer had not been kept up... It was horrific.

It is my hope that the Cera will be all that it was promised to be and that the rest of the parts issues (latching switches, TI) will also be resolved soon. I will report back when I receive any more info (or the unit) Thanks for putting up with my rantings!!

Part of the official update from the main thread:

I'm not certain, but this likely suggests that production is going to be delayed further until the remaining bulk ceramics arrive? Not sure if that is in regard solely to the Ti units, but since they all use ceramic I would think it applies to both types.
I pray someone starts putting up video reviews or something, this hurry up and wait stuff is cruel business :ugh: I'mma go hibernate, wake me when the war's over.

EDIT:If my speculatin' is true--in my (stoned) opinion a better customer service approach might have been to take stock of how many parts were on hand and how many that would roughly build, and then say 'we'll be back-filling all the November pre-orders but probably don't have enough parts for the rest yet'---my :2c: anyway ;)

No Cera today. I swear, Canada post must hold back packages that are early. According to their tracking, it should have been here today at the latest. Now I am being told tomorrow. :cuss:

Yeah, but at least before I had resigned myself to the fact I had to wait. Knowing it is so close is just torture.

Yes it surely was...Glad I survived...

I forgot to answer the question though "would I ever pre-order again?" and the answer is yes. A lot would go into the decision, but I would judge each situation on a case by case basis.

I'm guessing people are trying to make a bunch of perfect ceramic parts and you can only go so fast and only so many guys can do this.

I'm guessing the more people that buy now the longer the wait. So get in line. Otherwise the wait for 24 hour turn around will be end of Feb..., March...

At least by then the latching switch will be out? Silicone sleeves too. And more reviews.

That's one thing I'm almost hoping for, maybe by the time mine goes out I'll get both switches or the latching switch. Maybe the sleeve they're talking about included. At least this real time R&D will be working out bugs by the time it gets to my order.

EDIT: Looks like I got all my batteries for when it does arrive! Left to right, 3400 Orbtronic, 2600 Tenergy, and 2250 Unlabeled Panasonic's. With the 3400's I ordered the 2900 set but got sent those, I see Panasonic makes that actual battery though, so I don't believe it's just misbranded since they have them for sale.

Assuming the failure of the ceramic in QC was purely aesthetic and did not impact performance, I'd happily take a less than visually pristine unit.

    I just ordered #1. SKU 1141000 - Panasonic NCR18650 Protected Rechargeable 2900mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries (2-Pack)
x 2 $26 and free shipping and made in Japan.
It will be interesting to see how they compare to the 2250 mah using the designed batteries for the unit should make it perform the way it did in the videos witha much anticipated learning curve

I wonder if they are doing something special to the 2900 since you can all get them or maybe Mark you will get the 3400 to instead we will see. Two others ordered 2900 and got 3400. IIRC TET said they are wrapping them themselves for some reason so maybe theirs will preform better.

Blunt I don't know with all you went through with who you worked for and the stress you had this time how you can ever pre-ordered anything ever again. It fascinates me how peoples minds work. Mine of course amazes me the most cause sometimes is it so illogical or to far gone.

These high level Panasonic cells are only available for commercial use. A few people finding some vs TET finding hundreds....
