Big thanks to sticks, I will be adding in all the specifics after I confirm the details with my design team, we are meeting on Tuesday. I only have 2 units to my name right now besides my personal and I'm sending those out for a review to OF and Pakalolo. They will have them mid week. These are finished units, Launch date on this product is undetermined but close. Stay tuned...

i LOVE the size of the unit. TRVB you've seen to have made great visual improvements to both of your products! I noticed in the first picture with the battery. is there any way the final product you would be ditching the insert battery? i would love to see a battery inunit but i dont if that is possible? looks good!

Yeah, I was stuck on this idea for a while, ultimately, the pressure put on the battery effects the functionality of the unit and there were simply to many things that could go terribly wrong as the product gets warn out. Who knows how well the heat button would work 60 days from now? I just can't bet on it quite yet.

Thanks for all the compliments. Our designers have really stepped their game up IMO

I've seen these before, and I'm intrigued. Do they operate basically the same way as the LB?

Actually this is a brand new product, this is the first time it's seen the light of day. The very first units ever are getting their picture taken right now while the first two out for evaluation are going out to Pak and me early next week.

This sucker is newer than new. It's not yet available.

IMO, like the reworked VB and Cera, it seem to be a serous upgrade based on lessons learned. Most makers would simply flood the market with the problematic versions to 'recover the costs' leaving us with what we get. This maker, like TV, is not settling for less than they can do, eating the costs to get there. IMO we should celebrate this attitude and seriously consider supporting it by buying one if it pans out and suits our needs. We want more of this friends and neighbors! This is a customer oriented business plan more should follow if you asked me....

you saw the older version, this is brand new!

559stonerr was right. I meant I had seen the older version.

However, my question remains, do these work in a similar fashion to the LB?

Beats me, I can't get the photo to power up....

Only a few units working and only one guy is using it right now and being mighty silent.....I bet it's working really really good however it is doing it.

It should be similar but different. For openers I'm told there's a second screen in there, the vapor come up through the load I think, rather than down through the heated screen. I'm thinking that alone may change the 'shake between hits' rule?

We'll know more this time next week I bet. I'm not 100% sure of Pak (and who could be?), but I can't be counted on to keep secrets. I try to be as honest and open as possible with what I find and let the chips fall. Folks need information they can trust to base decisions on. TRVB knows this and welcomes it. 'Go ahead, wash the laundry in public' is a very confident stand to take IMO. No NDAs here guys. The straight poop gets published. He's not dumb, so he must have something to base that confidence on. If not, we'll find that out too won't we?

Ok Gentlemen, the bird has left the nest. I have tracking numbers if you need them, just pm me. OF will have in 2 days, not sure about the shipping time for Pak. I'm looking forward to your opinions.

Cool. I'll try not to embarrass you then.....

In the mean time, I prefer to think it's Karma. I let you have your illusions and hope you'll do the same for me?

More when it gets here and there's something useful to pass on.

I just got my Beta Palm 2. My one word take is 'Wow'. Two would be 'Wow, neat'. It has some features in common with V1, but for the most part it's a new deal. It's natural for folks to look at it in terms of MFLB, but while there are some similar aspects, there's lots of difference. It's built 'upside down' now, air is drawn in under the screen that's heated like in V1 and the LB and up through the load. There's lot of convection going on I think, but that needs some more testing. The trench is more clearly defined but is not folded like the LB. Another big difference is the screen is rotated 45 degrees, so it's 'on the bias' WRT the rails. This means currents between wires will play a key role in balancing the heating. There's a second screen above it, it holds about as much as the MFLB (I'll weigh it when I finalize the load). Nothing has leaked so far, nor seems likely to, unlike V1.

It has a light bulb as before, but it can be seen from outside through a hole above the battery or down through the clear cover and screen past the mouthpiece. It's very small, smaller I think the LB in most hands. It's easy for me to 'palm' even with the battery in place. You can watch the vapor form over a fresh load like with MFLB but so far I'm favoring a slow long draw. By the time the bottom was getting done and the 'popcorn taste' was about to catch up with me, the top was vaping nicely and had a ways to go still. This over 6 or 8 modest hits without opening it. No mixing. My first attempt gets high marks, it's much easier for me to control than V1. I'm not sure what the 'best' technique will be, but I highly doubt it'll be the same as MFLB when all is said and done.

While the materials might not appeal to some, it retains the ceramic body and short, strong contacts of V1, IMO good points. It fits the hand an pocket very well, especially if you take the battery and mouthpiece out first.

More later when I have more worth saying to pass on, but for now it looks very much improved in key areas and quite promising as a small battery powered vape.

I said to myself, "I do not have room for another vape"... *Throws Davinci out window* Now I do :) VP2.0 I made room for you.

Too bad about the DV, you already had plenty of room. You can darn near put this guy in your watch pocket......

By V1 I think you mean P1 as in palm 1.0?

I understood him to mean the original Palm, hence V[ersion]1.

OF doesn't do pictures, but I have already promised to post some when mine arrives. It has to come through Customs so I'm not sure how soon I can expect it.

This one has my interest piqued. I've been using my MFLB more (thanks Paka!) and the thought of some improvements is exciting!

It has my interest peaked also, i am anxiously awaiting OF and Pak's feedback. I wonder how long customs is going to hold it for, it would be great if he got it today.

Gentle friends,

This little guy continues to be both enticing and satisfying at the same time. Reasonably objective testing (from a 'clear of influence POV) is hard to schedule, perhaps half a dozen total thus far?

Learning it cold is not straightforward. It gives clues all along for potential different techniques. As of now, I'm having great success with smaller loads, perhaps 2/3 full, so shaking (blind, you can't see well through the top screen) works well then.

I think it runs hotter than MFLB, although I've avoided it, I bet I could combust in it. In this mode it seems to heat very fast. I'm finding it easier to control now, but you still need to be there. This may be a very serious contender in the 'Whip it out, turn it on, grab a quick hit and back in your pocket again' contest. Couple that with shaking rather than backing off the fire as it gets going strongly boosts it's 'big cloud' potential a LOT.

I also find the baffles built into the area around the light make it easy to 'read', even in direct sun. Nice.

I'm still using the mouthpiece, even if it's limiting the holds you can use. Lately, I've been 'pniching it' with thumb and forefinger on top of the second finger, much like you might hold a plumb to bite into it, with the MP straight up. Not all that stealthy, but fast and effective. 10 seconds from shirt pocket to hit and back are not rushed at all. They are effectiive, though......

My opinion thus far is 'it's a keeper', even if other techniques don't pan out.

Thanks for your kind attention, more when I have some else useful to convey.

Really love the new design! What would I have to do to get one of these beta units to try myself?

mod note: This is awfully close to asking to be a beta tester, which is against the rules and would get you an infraction.
