I'll probably have a more detailed post of my assessment after a weeks use this weekend. For now, my experiences pretty much mirror
@LesPlenty exactly. No idea on longevity, or how I'm gonna get particulate and resin out of the space under the oven down the line, but as is I'd say it's a "winner". I've been meaning to pit it against the StarryV3 more, but man I just don't want to use it now that I have the V3Pro.
If my EVO is a 10, then (off the top of my head very unscientifically):
- (a good non combusting hit from) the OG Firefly is an 9
-Starry is a 4
-Airvape X is a 3.5
-Dynavap is a 7
-Davinci Miqro is a 6
-Vaporgenie is a 5 or 6
-Dotleaf is a 4.5
-vleaf GO would be a 7 but it's just really hot natively.
-V3Pro is a... 7? 8? It's very good, but lacks the strong flavors that the EVO, Firefly, and dynavap give (may change my mind here with further use). But it's not hot like others on this list.
The most incredible thing about the V3Pro is that amazing cooling airpath in the mouthpiece. Back to back max temp convection hits are absolutely comfortable and almost cool.
I have both, and maybe will do a vs post somewhere else in the forum if anyone cares. The upshot is if you want true on demand convection, go with the GO. If you want ultra ultra portable one hitter, go with the GO. If you, like me, have a waterproof tube that perfectly fits the vleaf so you can use it paddleboarding, go with the go.
Otherwise, if you want a daily use vape (ignoring the possible long term cleanliness issues) that tastes great and is simple to use and feels really nice, go with the V3Pro every time.
I intend to keep both the GO and the Pro, as they both fill an important niche.
I've used all sorts of flat top 18650 in the Pro so far and they all work fine. Starry battery works, even though it's a different model battery.
