Hello I just got my New Evo today, and I absolutely love it I just have one concern, After Using it around 3 times for about 30 minutes I have noticed that after I use it and turn it off I hear strange crackling noises coming from the unit, I have looked and there is no cracks in the glass or anything like that but it is sorta worrying me, anyone else have this happen?

That may be a bad sign. The previous firmware made the evo run hot which results in cracked bamboo. They solved that problem but it seems like some faulty Evo's sneak through the cracks.

Just keep an eye on what's going on inside your evo. If so, VXH will take good care of you once you open a support ticket! :smug:

Honestly other than that this thing is so CRAZY, I love the upgrade to the airflow, it makes using it with scientific glass 10X better IMO and the vapour output is just amazing, I'm Running mine at about 3 o'clock right now and I'm getting perfect results, It also heats up quite a lot faster than my cloud + i wanna say probably about 4-6 minutes faster. Only complaint/worry is that crackling noise after i turn it off.

I wanted to give BIG PROPS to Bryan aka @vaporring for getting through all the domestic Indiegogo and pre-orders. Our site is now LIVE and without Bryan's endless days/nights, we'd still be trying to work through those issues. The time to celebrate is short, back to work for us, international awaits.

Nice work, Bryan! Thank you!

On a related note, I just finished taking down an ELB loaded with a ferocious blend of blue dream and shiskaberry. As I prepped the ELB and cleared the HT, I thought how I love the complexity of vaping and how it's enhanced my ritual. Combusting degrades the ritual in my view--leaving no room for customization. You either burn it, or you don't. With vaping, and specifically with the Cloud/EVO, the experience can be as complex as needed/wanted, and complex in a good way. I can control my temperature, my air intake, my grind, etc..., and it all impacts my experience, leading to limitless possibilities. Damn, I started vaping two years ago and I thought I was late to the party. But it turns out I arrived just in time. :)

Thanks, SM and VXH!

I think the user-friendly nature of the EVO doesn't get enough credit.

While I am a very active solo stoner, I am also a very social stoner in general. My cousins and I all smoke, one of em is into vaporizers as well and owns a DaVinci. I've also got a wide variety of stoner friends with often.

The problem I've had with previous Vaporizers is I almost have to handle the vape for them because they can't get the technique down or simply don't have the patience to vape properly since they just want to get the "weed in them".

Not a problem with the EVO. My big hitting friends and my small hitting ones are both equally satisfied with no effort necessary. EVO just shoots milk right into them.

I came here and was about to post the same thing pretty much.
It is an incredible machine and so far outperforms all my previous clouds immensely.
The efficiency is incredible!

Tonight I picked off some little pieces and threw them in the ELB.
I hit it until it stopped hitting and it hit hard!
When I took out the ELB i fogrot to put the top cap on and the top of all my buds were green!

It gets me ultra medicated.Right in that first big hit almost as powerful as a dab how quickly you feel the effects. I get exceptionally stoned too, but the medicated is the most imporant part.... no more even waiting for a few cloud hits for that perfect effect. I can already have a bowl extracted in 2 or 3 hits and feel it all. It's amazing and is that much less time I have to spend waiting to get medicated... not just stoned

I stirred the bowl, reheated and had another good tasting 6~ minute session.
Nothing I know stands up to the EVO!

I haven't been "too stoned" in a long time. My second go on the EVO and yes, indeedy I was too stoned. I'll need to find a new toke level. Had it at about 2:30. Was really good.

Questions:

1. do you put the HT on the EVO and immediate draw or does it need to be there a bit? I had only been putting glass on EVO to draw. Is that right or do you keep it there except for pulling up to draw vapor?

2. when finished- if I haven't finished the ELB do I remove it or just leave it. I have removed it thinking the heat from the cooling EVO is using it up

3. I am afraid of cracking the red/green glass. Is it as fragile as I think?

4. water- do you keep water in there until needs changing or replace fresh every session?

5. people speak of combustion. How do you know when it combusts? Flames, black ash or both?

thank you.

1. I start drawing as soon as the seal is made, and pull it up off of the EVO right before the hit is finished to clear it out. I don't keep it on there unless it's in active use.

2. I take ELB's out right after the hit. If you hold your hand right above the EVO/Cloud, you'll be able to feel the constant current of heat rising out of the bamboo. This will slowly vape the active out of your ELB if you leave it for too long.

3. No, it really isn't. Most, if not all of the cracking issues were caused by issues outside of the users control, like the band heater tightness and heat level. Minor crackles and ticks seems to be regular part of heat up and cool down. The glass is pretty strong as glass in vaporizers go.

4. I keep water in there as long as I can get away with.

5. You'll know you combusted because it will taste awful, make cracking noises and you'll notice smoke instead of vapor in the tube.

To add to #5, you will also likely see the bloom of an ember in the bamboo/ELB through the hydratube. It is actually really hard to miss.

I was cleaning my apartment last night and stumbled upon a cluster of glass I forgot I even owned (damn GAS). So now I get to test the EVO on even more. Found an HD tube I'd forgotten about, my Vriptech Water Tools, and a couple others.

EDIT: Okay at max setting its getting the abv to a dark brown. (awesome) But is this supposed to get hotter?

Do you get the same result if set at 3? That's as far as you should need to go with flowers. Above 3 the heat ratchets up into "turbo mode". It gets hotter at max but not a lot more. According to SM, with the new attachment under development the heat will be adequate for concentrates.

I think there might be a mistake on the VXL website. The Swagger "Barrel" is listed as $49 and works right through checkout. Guessing it should be $149.
Congrats to VXL on going LIVE!

There isn't anything labeled 'Swagger Barrel' there anymore. So maybe you got a deal on the last one.

i totally agree with this, having looked at the sub as a possible purchase, its a bit of a minefield what to buy, not to mention add-on this and that, buy cloud/evo pair with fave glass......10 mins later boooooum smashed job done!
