I'll say. The website is rockin. Love the new pics!
I do the best I can with the GoDaddy software. It's limited, but relatively user friendly and quick, leaves me more time for building (VBS - vaporizer building syndrome).

Cold, sinus infection still lingering. Super hot here, almost 90 today. I worked at a school this morning, in a big black topped playground, putting kiddies through our *smoke house*. I came home baked, and not in a good way. My wifey made me some lunch and I crashed for an hour. I snuck into the wood shop and drilled some vent holes (80 to be exact). I had to add some finishing touches to some units (magnet holes left out), as well as do some quality control on bottom cap / switch box fit. I needed to redo about 8 for various reasons, but it's Smart to do it now instead of struggle to bring it back later. That is what this batch is all about, methodical, step by step, controlled, no surprises, no rush - just the highest quality I can produce in the absolute most efficient manner possible to keep costs minimal.

I wound up pairing walnut bottom caps with a few highly figured maple units to create some Baby Figured Waples. The effect is really nice, lots of brown streaks in the Maple, lots of blond streaks in the Walnut. I can sell these at the Maple price ($279 Bare Bones), and I've got a few.

Top pic is the Figured Maple with a Maple bottom cap. The Classic (bottom) features Figured Maple with a Walnut switch box (for reference).

This *figured maple* or whatever you call it isn't expensive, but hard to find. I had a bunch of it from my local exotic hardwood lumber yard.

Good morning loyal Elitists... More good reviews from our latest customers. Pricing is at its all time low, while inventory is at its height. I did a full count of everything I'm working on and it's about 40 Elites and 20 Classics. Once the mortises for the DNA boards are cut, it'll be time to *shape*. Shaping, which is done on both machine and by hand, is the process of sanding down to the smooth, rounded edges that feel so good in your hand. I'll do most of the shaping on the entire batch at once, but the final sanding and beeswax will probably be done, individually, one at a time before final assembly.

I just was asked about combining deals. I'm sorry, but I can only go so low before I'm pretty much giving them away. I've knocked Cherry down to Maple pricing, and given an additional $20 coupon code for the month of June (TOP40). I'll extend the Figured Waple discount as well (WANTWAPLE), and that'll save you 20% on the Waple Elite.

Bare Bones Cherry with coupon code: $259 (add $30 for the complete).

Lil' Bud Elite rocks, even when you're dealing with a head or chest cold. Normally, I can work at low temp / watts and still get big hits. As a matter of fact, the Elite has turned me from a real sipper, to a bit of a ripper, with the potential for cooler vapor in larger volume. Yesterday the little sinus thing has dropped down into my chest, and I coughed all day, with no real vaping, and last night I thought I'd have a problem. With a little care, low wattage (25), I was able to sip some quite cool vapor. I slept like a baby, and do feel a bit better today. Nice to have so much control!

Even with all that, I got a bit of work done on the back plates, pairing 40 plates to bodies, doing some final sanding and filing (for both fit and finish of what's under the hood). Next up will be magnets, 4 per unit, so I need to install 160 magnets. I may have to order some.

With all coupon codes, sales have picked up a bit. Nice feeling when a purchase is made, I can assign a unit to that order. When you purchased an LB a few months ago, it was a conceptual order. Now, you're buying a unit that is 75% complete, an hour from full assembly. With this system in place, all orders placed during the first half of the month will have no problem making the end of month cut off for assembly and shipping.

The key is for me to keep building, And as long as sales remain steady, I can do just that. For now, in order to change the way Vapwood does business, I'm willing to throw most of my profits back into building this inventory, hence all the coupon codes. With 40 unsold Elites, and 20 unsold Classics that represents quite a bit of capital which will initially be used for stocking up on everything from DNA boards to @Alan 's custom tubes and buttons (and the dozens of little items like magnets).

I know you guys understand VAS. Think of this as V(p)AS, or vapor parts acquisition syndrome. Not having a deep stock of all parts *freaks me out* /

That's neat as fuck ! Did you try the bubbler one with water ? Must be yummy. Only that EU store that carry those or does anyone else ? Been eyeing it a long time

Vapefiend, where I got mine, points out they are NOT for use with water :(

Good morning FC!

@Alex03 has highlighted what we all know, the Elite can adapt to just about any 19/22 mouthpiece, and power each one perfectly. I've linked @Alan's website under *roasting tubes* in the main menu. He's assured me that there is going to be some adjustments to his website making ordering easier. Right now a simple email to let him know what you're looking for is necessary. All LB's will come with one standard short wood tube, and the option of glass insert.

Still healing up, I managed to install 140 or so magnets yesterday, as well as fit 40 back plates. I was able to do this at my indoor *seated* workbench. I love the 3/16 vs 1/4 inch dia magnet (small and neat looking). The magnet in the body of the unit is 3/16" by 3/16" deep and in the back plate 3/16" x 1/10" deep. I use the highest quality, strongest magnets I can find (I've got a magnet guy).

Now it's time to cut board mortises and then I'm free to *shape* the unit. Using a 320 grit belt sander, followed by a variety sanding sponges, I turn a block of wood into a work of art. The board mortise is identical in length and width to the battery mortise, but only half as deep, and that makes for a swifter operation.

Please let me ask you again, have you tried it with water ?

Am I mistaking or Is that WATER at the bottom of the tube in their very OWN photo ? :rant:https://vapefiend.co.uk/products/milaana-cooling-mouthpiece

It is built to accept water... Either it doesn't work too good with water or simply a "safety precaution" (it could drip or leak into Heater maybe)

Dare the dream !

I might dare it , if I can get over the water pic and them suggesting otherwise ... thanks for te source @Alex3oe (@Bravesst , you tagged the wrong joe in your post ;) )

No, there's no water on the pic and wouldn't make sense to fill it below the point the air comes in anyway ;)

Am I the only person who sees water there ? Must be the glass joint /seem then ?

And is that the air hole ?

Weird design imho . I'll pass and save for a Rattle Can and keep looking for a portable bubbler.

Yeah, the red one is an uneven "ring" of glass, think from the production process. And the blue mark shows one of the air holes.

Insinde you can see another tube. There the vape comes in, going up the tube where its open. Then down to the blue marked air holes.

oK but... I take back my weird design notion. , you had me believing for 1 sec this wasn't a water tool but it is.. I have the same concept tube for a arizer (that I use with my vapcap ) ..

Upon looking at it It has air holes like that, you can fill over them holes , still get air from inner tube ..

Well , let me rephrase my question then lol , will you try it with water ?

Awesome . Thank you ! Way to take one for the team!

First expressions:
You have to keep everything as upright as possible and draw very very gently to avoid drips of water on your lips and in your mouth. Even with the water filled only a tiny bit over the holes.

The whole experience remembered me trying this hammer with water once:
https://www.dhgate.com/product/2015-new-glass-nail-oil-nail-for-glass-bong/260476379.html

First few hits are surprisingly tastefully for water and comfortably cold. But the small amount of water in this two devices gets warmer and warmer with each draw, as the vapor does. And at some time, I start do dislike this warm humid vapor. It feels and tastes like sweaty, damply, moldy, swampy air, hard to explain in English for me, but nevertheless, a taste and feeling of vapor I don't enjoy :D

What are some of you Elite owner's favorite stems to use with it?

I personally prefer the long XL8r stem for all my devices it fits. Gets the best taste-cooling ratio and is not as damageable and hard to clean as the cooling MP, which would offer similar cooling and taste.

It appears that no one in the U.S. has these in stock:hmm:

Here's a peek at the beauty of this batch. The Koa units will have koa cover plat and back plate, Waple will get a walnut cover plate and maple back plate. Maple unit will have a maple back plate and walnut cover plate, and cherry will get a walnut cover plate and cherry back plate. That is the only cherry unit I've got with a walnut cap, but there are a few maple units with walnut bottom caps.

Thank you @Alex3oe for dirtying your glass in the name of vaping science !

So it does work with water , lol Yup, one might get some water splash at the mouth tip which is unpleasant. It does (my mini one shown in previous posts ) require frequent cleaning / water replacement.

I did McGyver a silicone piece on it and tried it in my cherry bomb LB Classic this morning . Didn't even think I had vapor in my Lungs until exhaling , smoootthhh... @Alan , I've had more uses for that silicone piece you sent me for my HI Log output then you could ever imagi... no wait , you probably did. I'll order more when getting back to you on my longterm Log life plans (a spare heater for my glass core heater cover just in case I break it any given Sunday), It ain't Square

@Alex3oe You do say it works as good as the other cooling tube when waterless, right there it's worth it considering it's less expensive if
I'm not mistaking. I'll have to try that bubbler mouthpiece sometime , being used to the mini one I have , I might not get much back splash at all with the big one .. thanks again :lol::clap:

Dentist today, believe it or not, I had a small cavity in a back tooth. I am numbed up and spilling coffee all over myself. I have to vape out of the left side of my mouth. It's interfering with the dexterity of my lips. It's amazing how instinctively I create more or less suction, adding that additional, almost unregulated, dimension to the Elite. By messing with pull force and shape of the opening (lungs / mouth), gives lots of last second control, based on dynamic feedback as the mouth senses the slightest change in temp, pressure, taste. Nice feature and one worth mastering. I find this easier to do with the narrower ID of the glass lining.

All DNA board mortises cut, and what I'd say is the highest level of consistent precision yet. I took about 10 units (six Elites and four Classics) to the belt sander for some 320 grit shaping. It's at this point the big block of wood starts to look like an Elite. Most edges are broken or rounded on the belt except for two, the front top and front bottom, which I do with all the final hand sanding. I've developed and edge management system, with a very specific order of sanding. Another way I'm getting more efficient, even in this final finish stage.

I'll continue to push the batch until all cover plates are made and tested, paired to units. Then I'll stop, except for specific upcoming orders. This shift of build focus will allow me to fill orders placed by mid month, by the end of June.
