Good glorious morning boys and girls...
It's the first day of June on beautiful Long Island, and my shop is all a buzz with LB production on every level. I woke up feeling good, back stiffness gone, as it was just over work. I had to work in the city a few days this week, and spent up to six hours driving around the five boroughs on Thursday. I think that's one of the biggest *stiffness* culprits. I need to keep up on my stretching / therapy, and exercise in general. But have no fear, right now I'm building, building, building.
I am spoiled rotten, but still can really appreciate what is going on in the cannabis and vaporizer world. For most of my life it was a struggle to get decent weed, and smoking was the only option. Now, everything is much more accessible, and higher quality, but vaping with the Lil' Bud Elite has taken the entire process to another level.
Does it get boring having a fine tuned work of art as your daily driver? Hell no.
Now that function is top notch, I can focus even more on cosmetics.
Did anyone say *natural stain*? Since I'm a coffee guy, makes sense to give that a go first. This is just one simple idea, we'll see where it leads.
Thanks Bravesst. What wattage is your favorite starting point? Also, with Booster mode, does the wattage slowly increase on its own, or do you manually bump it up a little at a time to get to your desired end point?
I like to start low... 25 watts. I can get 7 or 8 loads, easily, from one battery on this setting. I tend to just leave it right there and stir a bit, but you can ramp up to 28 to 30 if you'd like. The boost is built in, it will hit the coil with more wattage for the first second or so, but you can adjust that as well right on the unit (from main screen, it's the 2nd icon from the left in the row under *o.00A*. Also, have you hooked it up to the escribe software on a computer? Not mandatory, but fun. You can also check the website *user guide* for the basics on set up, herb prep.
Another tip I haven't really thrown out too much here is how to form your lips around the tube, and this is where the narrow glass lining can help. I use my lips, putting them in a position as if to whistle, dynamically controlling (almost instinctively) the diameter of the inhalation opening. This can increase, decrease, or otherwise manipulate the draw. I think this simple technique increases negative PSI without increasing volume, and makes it easier to control what is going on in the flower puck.
One of the indicators that you're properly extracting is the quality of the ABV, and ease of tube cleaning. If your tube stays pretty easy to clean out with a simple pic, nice and dry, not gumming up, and you rarely have to change screens, chances are you're creating the perfect vaping environment - not too hot to char, not to cool to leave behind oils. Your load, tamp, flower puck and draw are just right.
BTW, love Top Cat
