For what it's worth:
I have received one of
@Kfirrer 's 3D printed hopper cases the other day, and although I can't yet vouch for fit (my hopper and batt's are still en-route) I'm pretty happy with what's turned up.
I got a grey one, and although it doesn't have the looks of the leather cases that are available elsewhere for vapes and pens etc, it does appeal as a good design.
The size is satisfyingly small while still offering storage for the vape, herb, and a battery.
Mine came with two small 3D printed containers that fit inside the battery compartment.
One has a press-fit lid, the other a screw fit lid.
The surface finish is quite crude plastic, so don't get your hopes up for perfection, but for the asking price I can confirm that I'm perfectly happy.
The case seems strong, and very practical.
I imagine that it would protect the Hopper from all but the very worst punishment.
The threads which are on the caps are a very low pitch (presumably by design) and somewhat crude too, but again they seem to work well, and the low pitch aids strength to resist over tightening and allows the quick removal of the lids.
I bought this case because I like the design, and if my hopper fits well when it turns up I will be very happy with it.
If a more expensive version with better surface finish/fit or materials becomes available at a later date I'll probably get one of them too.
A wooden version of this case, like a dugout, would really be fantastic, but I suppose that requires a whole other tool set.
I'll be back to report on fit once my Hopper arrives.
BTW
