Unless it's shaped like a pen and can do this with bubble hash/any other kind of concentrate you throw at it I don't think the Hopper will be going anywhere any time soon. Especially if they actually fix the reliability issues like they say they're going to. I'm going to guess the Arizer Go won't be full convection. It will probably be a "hybrid" like their current devices, which I personally believe are 90 to 99% conduction regardless of what one member's tests show. The teardown on PIU clearly shows they are conduction devices. Sorry for going off topic here but I couldn't resist. If the arizer GO is convection on demand hoppeelabs can close their gates.
Hold onto it bud ... I hope there's still hope ... otherwise if you're dead set on getting rid of it, I'll take it off your hands ... lol. It would be one more spare while mine are in transit or warranty repair
I purchased one with my Hopper purchase back in Feb, since it was projected for the next month, when I had to RMA the next month, I asked if I could just apply that to a different item (I asked a couple times), and they just told me it would be coming soon, and they'd let me know when it was going to ship or something of the sort. I've failed to get the money from the sleeve applied to a battery or other even though I've tried. (I gave up because it's not worth my time, the least of the money I've lost on Hoppers considering that I've spent as much on warranty shipping as the Hoppers themselves)oh yeah people had to pay extra for those sleeves ?
that sucks and makes it even more annoying
Maybe here, but with a minimum of between 15 and 20,000 units sold, I'm pretty sure the vast majority is just doing fine. Return rates higher than 10% would have killed them long time ago. Not to say a failure rate of even 1% would be totally unacceptable for a normal business.I know i'm an anomaly...
I'd bet my grasshopper their failure rate is at least 10%.Maybe here, but with a minimum of between 15 and 20,000 units sold, I'm pretty sure the vast majority is just doing fine. That's the thing though - amount of use doesn't seem to have anything to do with failiure. Some units fail after a week of light use and some have been used for a year + of hardcore waterpipe usage with no issues.to casual users that have way lower failure rates then us stoners
What is everyone using to rig up a mouthpiece that will not burn your lips? I can barely get a hit in a half before the device is to hot to use. I also sent it in thinking it was running to hot and was told it was fine by Support when the Vape returned.
Are you using the original mouthpiece and placing you lips after the taper (at the place it transitions to straight)? And do you let it cool down completely between pulls? What is everyone using to rig up a mouthpiece that will not burn your lips? I can barely get a hit in a half before the device is to hot to use. Deep throating a PFE enabled GH is comfortable enough, even without the clicking on and off with each draw ... a practice I just found ergonomically ridiculous. It's like a trade off. Warm but not hot on the lips, but hotter vapor ... losing about an inch of the cooling provided by the mouth itself. Can get some redness on the rear of the throat. Have to kind of plan on a max of maybe 4 draws. Could click to cool down and repeat I suppose. Are you using the original mouthpiece and placing you lips after the taper (at the place it transitions to straight)? You've either got really sensitive lips or there may be something wrong with your hopper. I've got a stainless steel now which gets hotter than the titanium, or at least retains heat longer, and I can easily do a full bowl native without it getting too hot to put on my lips. What is everyone using to rig up a mouthpiece that will not burn your lips? Frankly speaking, how can they carry a unit that has more than even 1 out of 20 customers drawing the sh1t card? If I sell 20 units and get 10 back, I'd stop selling them. For a while a few shops (that buy at VDN as wholesaler) had the Hoppers at nearly 20% less, and at about the same time they (VDN) advertised they had a "2017 Model" for a short while. Honi soit qui mal y pense...VDN talked to me more than 50% within the first year. Unacceptable, I agree.

I fully agree. It's a nice stealth factor when it's not in use, but in this day and age about any device would look like one of these omnipresent E-Cigs/Shishas. When you use it in public though, it looks super awkward, sucking on your big-a55 ball-pen and exhaling big clouds. If the form factor would be a little less skinny, I'm convinced the failure rate would drop like a fat kid on a teeter-totter.It's silly that they really want it to look like a pen.
I agree, for something that's supposed to be stealthy, it's the most awkward to use in public. I think something like a Focus Pro form or X-Max form would work perfect and allow for an 18650 battery.I fully agree. I have been using 18650 batteries in my e-cig for over 7 years now. Nothing even close to a problem when you buy good batteries and use a good charger.Better awkward than unsafe.
