mmmh, more vapor from the vapcap than from the hopper with the same load ?
hopper between 4-5 ?

that cant be normal.
a hopper takes approx .1g herb loading intake.

can you fit the same amount in a vapcap ?
do you heat after the bimetal VC click ?

honestly i have a never experienced vapor so thick it could be seen as "milk".

not with the mighty and not with the hoppers.
dont know whether to spend 50 bucks on a vapcap just to try.

i have enough vapes.
no VAS

The VC holds around 0.05 gr. With the right heating tech you'll get more vapour than with the Gh at least. Flavour is another thing. But give it try. The "M" is the best and cheapest gate to the world of VC. And there is nearly no vape which is better for (non) full melt hash

Maybe not with the Mighty, but either your GH is defective, your material isn't very good, or your technique is off (not that it really is technique sensitive!).

I present to you GH vapour so thick, it could be seen as "milk"....and it's not skim like the Mighty either!

Don't forget, that your Vapcap may be producing a vapour/smoke hybrid and it's definitely possible to combust. The GH should not combust even at temp 5, unless the stars are aligned and you know how to overclock it with technique, material, etc. That hit in the video produced a glorious even brown abv.

I really like that piece man, function looks spot on.

Here's a few blasts of my hopper https://www.instagram.com/p/Baa86CmhVVh/?taken-by=blinkybilson

I'd have to say, I've had hoppers more powerful than what I am getting from mine atm. But, it's performing quite well as is. It just takes longer to clear a chamber, which is a bit annoying for me.
The main difference is how it will sustain heat output, currently mine will spike and quickly drop away.
A proper working unit will hold true to huge clouds for as long as it's used.

I look forward to receiving my next RMAs back, they're getting closer. One hopper is due already, just waiting for the other. It's heat up seems to have doubled to about 10s, so I am guessing both will be going back soon.

The thing with the VapCaps clouds is similar to my current hopper, once the toke is started the heat depreciates and the cloud thins.
I feel like, and it's probably mainly the chamber size difference, the GH gives a much bigger hit.
Again, a proper working hopper will be much better than the VC as it keeps heating.
Mine currently isn't doing that so well, and that's a common issue with the GH.

The VC is a great back-up to the GH, but the GH is a lot more convenient when working, and I prefer using the hopper too.

duff's hoper milks.

its the material, he ?

Yeah, I think the material is a really important factor in big clouds. I only have access to flower (very good flower), no concentrates. Concentrates like "shatter" or similar look like they can produce immense clouds pretty easily, as you have such a high concentration of cannabinoids and terpenes compared to flower.

But I am very happy with using flower, and gradually learning ways to get the very best from it is a really rewarding process for me.

@MoltenTiger, it's a good point you make about the GH providing continuous heat compared to the vapcap, that is indeed an important difference. That's why I am using a (slightly modified) stainless steel tip from an M for use with glass, as it cools slower than the Titanium tip. In practise, so far, the vapcap still provides much better hits through glass than my decrepit GH, despite the gradual temperature decrease.

I submitted my first warranty request for my GH today, I'm looking forward to having a better functioning GH in a

Hopper also needs alittle "suck" of hot air into oven for those creamy milk hits

Personally my hydrobrick hits the hardest and thickest, but my hopper hits the easiest and most portable while my Enano hits the most reliable :p

Been out in cold sea breeze struggling with the hopper and killed 3 batteries on A SINGLE BOWL!

That kind of shit annoys me but know I would have been fine if I had the hopper in my front pocket instead of backpack

Ice cold hopper is an unhappy hopper :argh:

I'm really sad to say that both my Hoppers came back with the problem of occasionally completely combusting the herb. It seems to work fine for a few hits, but then out of the blue it will burn up the herb completely. I don't even know how it could burn it up so completely so quickly. It completely blackens the herb in a nanosecond and it tastes horrible and gives me a huge headache.

I'm so disappointed, I was so happy to get them back. When the first one did it, I thought, well at least I still have one working while I send the other one in this time, but no. Thank goodness my Focus Pro keeps working, but I go through a lot more herb with it.

In a case like this I really don't think that I should have to pay for shipping them back again.

That's indeed distressing news. Did u ask for them to be dialed up?

Nope, I didn't ask for anything except an easier to twist temp dial if possible. I have arthritis in my hands and it's pretty hard for me to twist it. I pretty much use it at 5, always have. Never have come close to combusting before this. What I think is really weird is I can use it for a bunch of hits where it works perfectly fine and then just randomly it'll totally burn up a load.

@kbrown5523 what setting are you reaching combustion on? is it happening on all settings?

I've always used it at 5, never had a problem like this before, not even close. I'm not willing to test anymore because it made me feel so awful when it does it. I'll be mid draw and all of a sudden it just fries the whole load. I really can't avoid if it decides to do it so I just want them to fix it.

My combustion incident caused the plastic piece in the front screen to burn through & even melted the front end a little.
I’m glad you decided to stop testing it, I’d recommend not using a GH if it’s combusting.

Are you the same dude on reddit that reported his recent 2 RMA's coming back combusting?

In a case like this I really don't think that I should have to pay for shipping them back again.

From the Hopper's mouth, they will pay for the shipping both ways if your GH shits the bed within 2 weeks of receipt, and the same goes for an RMA AFAIK. Wouldn't hurt to ask that's for sure.

So sorry to hear about your GH woes...hopefully HL takes care of you and even sends you a replacement stat to make things right.

In my experience HL NEVER pays for shipping ... I had one hopper go back 4 times within <2 weeks!

I'm just going by their public reddit forum posts....they themselves have said that they will cover the return shipping if a new or rma GH shits the bed within 2 weeks. Then again, it's now radio silence for them over there. And they have said many things that haven't come to fruition. However, I don't think they would flat out lie in a public forum?

Who knows ... I'll try to bring up that post the next time I get an RMA back DOA (actually, if the back-end doesn't fix the issue with my Ti hopper that they are sending back with my SS hopper RMA, then that one was never fixed and thus they should cover this return shipping if the backend doesn't fix it ... my Ti hopper on last RMA, they replaced the body, which solved some of the issues, but failed to address the "nudge sideways to turn on" issue in the back end. Now the whole things getting a little finicky 1 month later, however, the back-end issue was there from day 1 of return from RMA.

Its quite incredible that they are STILL shipping defective RMA returns. Just blows my mind that they can't test these units sufficiently prior to return shipping.

this is simply not true. i had a hopper that i had less than 2 weeks and it went back to them on their dime
Ok ... that's great in your case, but it is not the case in mine. I spent an enormous amount of time writing messages back and forth trying to get them to pay early on in my many multiple RMA experience ... they eventually won out ... I'd rather pay than continue to waste my time corresponding back and forth to no avail.

Perhaps it is because you are not International? I currently am at >$200 in RMA shipping expenses since March. (maybe end of Feb?) ... and I'm sure I'm not done. I expect to hit $300 in a <12 month time frame (although since now RMA's are taking an extra week or so that might decrease as I won't be able to send one back every month ... more like every 5-6 weeks)

So ... I'll re-state ... in my experience, as an International customer, with hundreds of dollars in RMA shipping expenses, and many multiple RMA returns that are not fixed on return from RMA, HL has refused to pay any shipping costs, expedite their shipping back, or offer any other concessions despite repeated attempts politely asking them to do so or to make amends in some form or fashion.

I have given up asking, insisting, or whatever, and now just send them in thanking them very much (as I turn around and bend over again) and expect the cost of ownership for Hoppers is $25 shipping per month until I experience otherwise.

Love my Hoppers when they are working! They truly are one of a kind! Too bad cost of ownership and downtime is so brutally high. (I have always had 1 somewhat working hopper in the last 7-8 months, probably >80% of the time one that works well, but I've never once had 2 working hoppers at the same time. Not once.)
