Didn't really mean anything other than what @MoltenTiger expanded on already with the insulated chamber. This causes more radiant heat and allows for a faster extraction. However, for some purists, it may not be the convection that they are looking for (ie, vriptech, herborizer, minivap etc).

It's not a matter of liking one better than the other, as they are completely different animals. However, I do appreciate the variety of both heating technologies.

I am still looking for the pipe shaped animal that takes +2 gr of grinded bud and allows you to sit and puff on a bowl for hours while lounging in the sofa

I been imaging that the pipe head in like a screw inside a screw that passes fresh material in front of the heater at every turn

It would look exactly the opposite of a grasshopper and look like this

If you want something stealthy then we can make the vape look like the old guy while you dress up as a huge pipe!

I also seen this one here from grav lab that costs around 12 bucks

Put the problem for me is it makes the hopper too long, think I rather have something that curves upwards like sherlock pipe
Hopefully so I can operate the vaporizer one-handed

Haha nah just so it's one handed operation, could as well use piece of silicon tubing so it holds together

Got a nice gift from @vapen00b. A ThermoVape Pure-Flow Moisture Conditioner.

Works pretty good as a driptip on the PFE. Not a perfect seal but pretty good. Cooling and moisturizing of vape is so good, couldn't believe that's is caused just by this tiny thing - recommandation!
At AustralianVaporizers it's actually discounted down to 5$

EDIT: BTW yesterday failed my RMAed hopper which I like so much more than my 1st one. Seems to be a kind of sensor damage. It doesn't go to blue anymore. All the time it's heating up more and more. Had a terrible experience of combustion with my hopper....fuckit!

I am always up for a wild hunt for the next big mouth piece idea

That looks like a lung/gravity bong/Volcano bag. It looks pretty interesting as you would be able to contain the vapor inside ala Volcano bag.

14 bucks with shipping, the one I had worked pretty good, though we used the 2 liter soda bottle and a 10 liter bucket of water (and sometimes ice cubes) when inside, that lung was just for outside

Damn just remember about when I was a teen me and my friend group would buy bunch of buckets with lids and then hide them around different parks in the city with water in them

Some of those buckets even became known local stoner hangouts until police found one of the places and send whole squids with dogs into that park but kept finding more and more makeshift pipes and bongs

Ended up a picture in the papers with dozen huge black garbage bags of homemade bongs and buckets with some over worked police posing for photo

That park was also huge and couple different neighborhoods connected with that in the middle

Back in the day when you got high in the park with +10 people

My version of your teen hot spot is just slightly less romantic.
Across the street from my high school we had one of the first "shopping malls" in the U.S. (shout out to Long Island!) and under it ran a tunnel from end to end, for delivery and service trucks. It also had those ominous yellow/black fallout shelter symbols at the entries.
Just down the ramp and around the bend, up on a cement ledge, was a solitary corn cob pipe, used by dozens of teens throughout the day...
Even if we had no stash, we could go take a couple of pulls on that thing confident, of course, that we were also safe from nuclear annihilation...

Hi all.
"Suck of life" lost it's magic on my ss hopper.
Last Thursday the ss hopper didn't respond to the "suck of life" so i gave up and use my backup vapcap M at work then the ti hopper at home cos nothing beats the stealthy and quick of the hopper.

Saturday came I decided to clean the ss hopper to send it over..............then I thought why not take the screen out to see what gives my hopper bluelight with no heat so the screen got lifted out of the chamber with a pair of tweezer as you can see what's under the first screen after 1 year of use from it's first Rma

Sorry about the quality of the pic, it's hard for a stoner like me to take good picture while high

Anyway I used wooden toothpick to clean it out , no alcohol just the toothpick. I forgot to take pic afterward.........................it works beautifully after that and hasn't missed a beat for the last 3 days, very happy here

I'm surprised some people think "I should get a vaporizer" for years without doing so. I accidentally combusted with a vapcap recently, and it was horrible, I had forgotten how unpleasant combustion is. If he smokes regularly, you should loan him a vaporizer for a few weeks, if you can, I imagine that would convince him to get a move on and finally take the plunge

Same thing happened with mine of over a year. I also, posted that I did the exact same thing but I did use ISO. It's been around 2 months since and it's still going. I've had it for week over a year now almost going on two years with no RMA. I used it last night with some Super Glue and went to bed

For me, twisting the temp from one to five to one a whole bunch of times can often get it working again. I've also had luck with the iso soak up to the lights, but I sure was nervous before I did that one the first time. I've had it bring back a dead hopper though. I've also cleaned the threads on the back end and had that help. As well as using a really lightly soaked iso swab inside where the battery touches inside the unit to get that connection clean.

Both my hoppers are in for service so I feel your pain of not having a working Hopper.

That error indicates the sensor is gunked up, and it should be able to be fixed by the user.

Try removing the screen from the herb chamber.
It's easy to remove and replace, you'll want a metal pick of some kind to do it - just pry it up and pull it out. It just squashes back into place, friction fit so no tabs or anything to worry about.

Then use a q-tip/pipe cleaner and 90+% isopropyl to clean the surface below the screen.
Allow 24 hours to dry and see if it's working.

If it's not yet working, you could try using a can of compressed air to blow any residue out of the heater or soaking the device in alcohol.
If all else fails, then send it in for warranty.
