Discontinued The Grasshopper

I've been thinking about this too, and I really like the idea of wooden mouthpiece that simply slides over the existing GH mouthpiece and extends it a few inches. Maybe ED can try making one at some point, if people are interested.
^^^^^THIS.....SO MUCH THIS....
Maybe a wooden tube just slightly longer than the GH, with a (tight)U-turn connector to the GH mouthpiece?
So that in use the overall length is just increased by 10-20 percent.

I'm also hoping that a GlassONG adapter will emerge, or at least an 18mm glass bowl (snapper style?) that will allow use of the GH hands free like my Inhalater 05/WTA/D020-D combo (WTA courtesy of ShayWhiteGrow!)

"Snapper" refers to the dugout/single-hitter of the pipe or bong world yeah?

I have hopes that GHL might eventually investigate a water-tool specific vape using their heater?
Optimistic I know, but it costs nothing to have hopes for the future right?.........:myday:........ :rip:.................:zombie:

@Just Justin , @PAZ what are your thoughts on Inhalater vs GH? Is there any aspect of the Inhalater that's better than the GH?

I would agree with ShayWhiteGrow in that the GH has better build quality, at least better materials. The Inhalaters are all plastic with a chamber that is Polyimide with a Nichrome heating element sandwiched between the Polyimide sheets so it can be very fragile if your not using care or the right tools if your cleaning. With regular use, the Inhalaters can last a very long time and they are nice vapes for sure. The GH definitely tastes better and its much faster but the Inhalater has longer batter life, a variety of capsules ( standard, Aero for regulating fresh air / vapor mix, and glass capsules) and they also hold more material. One thing I don't like about the capsules is that you need to fill them up so the herb stays put and doesn't fall out, plus they use mostly conduction heat with some convection so it's better to fill them full. I really enjoy my Inhalaters, I have the 05 and the 06 and there has been some melting issues with the 05 around the top of the chamber if you are messing with the capsules before they cool down but I'm pretty sure they corrected the issue by adding Polyimide around the top of the chambers in the new Inhalaters regardless of which model and it was never really a problem for me because I usually vape on lower temps and let the unit cool down. The 06 have a really nice feature, the "Pulse" button which rapidly raises the temp 100F so I set mine on level 3 (284F) which is too low to vape so you don't loose any active ingredients between draws, no "slow burn" so when your ready you just hold the Pulse button and it heats it up to 384f ish in a few seconds and you've got vapor. Or you can just use the Pulse button as a boost so there is a lot you can do. The batteries are also semi-removable, more so in the 05's but it can be done if your careful and they are meant to be replaceable, I just don't recommend doing it that often because there is a fragile ribbon cable that you need to work around when swapping batteries that can easily crack. I have a GH and I still use my Inhalaters, they are fun vapes and they are better for more people and I just like the capsules. If I had to choose one, it would certainly be the GH then the INH 06. They are also made in Canada so shipping and repairs can be a bit of a hassle. They both bring something different to the table and I like them both. Hope this helps........

They are both great vapes but build quality and customer service go to GH fo sho!:D
Not a soul here gonna argue with that... so looking more at the vapor quality and production more likely..

I think I would for sure prefer the glass caps over the GH mouthpiece for instance... but from the videos I've watched I'm not so sure.... I can see hands down the GH can milk the shit out of a bong... nearly complete extraction in 3 pulls.... :whoa: but that's not the way I consume..... I feel I'm a cloud chaser but just not quite a "fog" chaser..... seems a bit more than just wasteful to me..... so me I'm curious about the daily or the regular..? how do they compare there....? :peace:

I actually still use both daily. The gh when time is a factor and the inh05s when I have more time because as stated it's more of a session type fogger!

I got a grasshopper coming in soon (hopefully). For those with units, what would you say is the best portable to complement the grasshopper? Assuming price isn't an issue.

I'm thinking maybe something with a larger bowl for groups, or something with better taste? Lotus? Mighty?

I like the mivape as a session companion to the grasshopper but it seems the consensus winner is the crafty

I agree that the GH can produce more clouds but the mflb can be hidden completely in small hands as long as it is used native.
True, but you also have to factor in that the hopper can cache a bowl in 3-4 hits (took me 12-15 for similar results w MFLB) and you can hit as fast as you like, no breath control required, so the amount of time you're holding hopper-to-face is a fraction of the time you're a little less conspicuous w the MFLB (and why do you keep shaking that box? Is it broken?).

do you have to screw the mouthpiece of the gh on the gh so it works...
if not I am sure someone can make a glass mouthpiece/attachment/gonm (gong) maybe a stem like used in the log vapes which you can screw on the gh..
otherwise there are also other ways like @Vaperist mentined...

@Old School @hiphiphooray As others have said, GH without a doubt.

I loved my INH XP and still have it, albeit not the v2 that kicked ass, but a replacement XP. Anyways, I've used my XP once, and the one time I brought out both for a group session, the XP got passed around once and then everyone just waited for the GH.

From my experience, I found that the GH is vastly superior to the INH XP in almost every category. Stealth, flavor, portability, vapor production, etc. The only thing the XP has over the the GH is the ease of loading it. However, I do find that using the a INH capsule is the easiest way to load my GH, you can just suck it up and then let it out into the chamber. It's not the perfect fit, but easier than doing it by hand.

The GH truly shines when used as a cloud monster. The only other thing i'd have to say is that you can't use it for a long session because the mouthpiece does get hot. So in short, just reiterating what @ShayWhiteGrow and @Just Justin have already stated.

Don't know if anyone remembers the BHolt:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-bholt-vaporizer.10150/
It was great until it was discovered to have dangerous glue issues, and an overall bad build, but it came with a glass mouthpiece which had a 14 mm(if I remember correctly) opening that could be a perfect elongated mouthpiece for the GH.
I will dig mine up and try it tonight.

I'm in total agreement with @PAZ @Old School @hiphiphooray @ShayWhiteGrow and @Just Justin
GH blows away the INH and I loved my INH. It was my go to for quite a while. Great battery life(the only advantage it had over the GH!

SO glad to see the pace at which people are receiving their units. The GH team seems to be following through.
Good news for us all!

No the mouthpiece is not required for operation of the device. *however* the screen to hold the abv from flying into your mouth is contained within the mouthpiece. So any replacement device would require a screen to contain the material.

Moreover, I don't believe that GH is using a standard thread. Can anyone comment on the speciic threading used on the hopper?

you could use a screen in the glass mouthpiece/stem like used in stems of log vapes

Thanks for the welcome from many of you! Stray observations a week into Hopper ownership:

- No, I'm not an employee or being paid to post my positive little paragraph, although if Hopper Labs wanted to toss me some freebies, I'm certainly game... ;) I backed on December 7th and received the 888th Ti Hopper, for those still dubious. Moving on.

- I did actually receive my extra battery initially, despite what I thought and said - as Caroline suggested, that was a bit of user error for sure. It was tucked into the box of the stainless Hopper, which is a gift and which I hadn't ever fully unpacked.

- My Ti Hopper, which is the only one I've used, continues to perform great. I've used it in a variety of settings: at home with and without the silicone mouth piece, through a small bubbler, outside in relative heat, and outside in relative cold, and it has ripped reliably in all of the above scenarios. Its form factor is really discrete, and I've used it walking around residential neighborhoods in LA without any fear, permissive though the city might be.

- The only weirdness, which others have maybe mentioned, has happened twice: the Hopper, which I knew had most of its charge left based on usage, flashed red lights when I tried to turn it on rather than heating up. Both times, I've clicked it off, waited a second, and tried again, and it has then worked fine for several more power cycles. This occurred once on start-up and once mid-session. I'm not worried, and there may already be an explanation in this thread somewhere, but I'll keep an eye on it.

- The Hopper heats herb extremely evenly, and can definitely produce clouds using small amounts, although I've usually packed fairly full bowls - the capacity is larger than I imagined for sure. A coarse grind is also definitely the best approach, as the holes in the screen in the mouthpiece (and presumably the one at the bottom of the bowl) let smaller particles through when I first hit it.

- I'm continuing to use my Extreme Q for sessions at home, since the vapor from the Hopper is hot enough to be a slight deterrent, but the speed with which it heats up means that I use it on-demand at home for quick hits, and its stealth and convenience definitely outweigh whatever slight discomfort for on-the-go applications. I don't own any other portables to compare it to, but frankly, I don't think I'll need to!

That's about it - feel free to toss specific questions at me, but, once again, I feel like I'm likely to just parrot what others have reported, as my unit is working great and fully living up to my expectations.
