@Kalessin as I'm reading it, it is non spill when on it's side and held normally, as when hitting. it leaks "a bit" when inverted, which i hope not to do. But still, it's not a great endorsement to say it leaks at all. How much is "a bit"?

@Nube Scrutator and @YaFreekin Right, these are effective in cooling and hydrating the vapor? They don't look like they could hold enough water to do anything. I'm concerned about all the talk of hot/harsh vapor as I am sensitive to that.

Even my Okin wooden stem cools the vapor. Amazing how much difference it makes being just a little further from the heat source.

Looks to me like the micro bubbler for the Air. And that one does onlY hold a tiny amount of water - much too less to change the game... It's more of a gadget IMO. The PWNT in comparison does have a good effect as it offers much more water capacity and volume in general.

I thought as much, but the PP water tool isn't spill proof. For quick, stealthy, water-filtered hits away from a water faucet, I want something that can carry water and not leak in my pocket or bag. May have to make my own somehow.

I've recently been using these things called bottles to carry water in :ko:

Would anyone with a GH be able to compare the GH to the MFLB in regards to how warm the mp gets on each (mflb native no mp) and also vapor temperature?
Hey, I'm can answer this now! Had my hopper for a whole 20 hours, and an MFLB was my only device for most of a year. They are very comparable heat-wise, just on a different time-scale. I usually took a full 15+ minutes to get where I was going w/ decent technique on a MFLB, and for the last third the mouthpiece was uncomfortable (could sometimes feel the burn for awhile after) and it felt like a lot of hot air to breathe. The hopper can reach those same uncomfortable (not unbearable, just uncomfortable) temp for mp and vapor, but everything is so much faster - still learning, won't review for another week, but I'm getting great results from 1-2 minutes w/ about 1/2 a trench worth. So similar heat issues (and plenty of each session on both w/ no issues) but worlds less time.

This is the personal comparison I wanted to see posted. All Ive read makes me feel like the GH and MFLB are VERY similar in mp heat and vapor temperature which Im use to as I have the LB and I only use it native.

I've been noticing that when my Hopper is pretty hot — say, after 3–4 hits at max temperature — the silicone mouthpiece cover will just smoothly slide off the tip when I'm not looking. While not much of an issue when at home, I can easily see it falling off when I'm out and getting lost.

That said, the odds of me doing 4 hits at max temperature in a row are a lot lower if I'm out than when I'm at home. So, it might not be a big issue, but something to keep in mind.

Really wish the mouthpieces gauze was user removable. It's not a real biggie but it is a design flaw, imho, not being able to just remove it and torch it or replace it completely.

Is there a way to shrink silicone a little? That could solve our issue. It's a very mild one, but it does happen. I think it stretches from cleaning/heating.

@emmdeemo do you mean the silicone or the inside screen for the mouthpiece? The inside screen is suuuper easy to clean, if even though it's pretty necessary to. Normally I only clean the threading, but I just cleaned the main screen on the inside and it only took 3 extra Q-Tips with ISO.

All the talk of hydro-tubes got me using mine all of today. I had been getting headaches from strenuous pulling and needed something to relax. I packed slightly smaller bowls and used the DHGate Sunshinestore knockoff Pinnacle Pro with the Grasshopper.

I now understand.

I didn't use the silicone mouthpiece. I'm regretting it a little since my girlfriend gave it a small battlescar, but it's okay, it's bound to happen. It got pushed a little too far in, and needed to be wiggled out, which scratched it. Anyway, it has a very nice seal with 14mm slide and no mouthpiece, and only needs a gentle placement on to have said seal. It ripped nice and smooth  It gave me both clouds on low temperatures (which I seem to normally have a hard time with getting on normal sized waterpipes), and still smooth rips all the way to temp 5. I could definitely see the preference of using this in public over the vape on its own ***IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR :zombie:***. Otherwise, you don't really need to go above 2.2 or 3.3 after a couple hits if you're trying to be stealthy. 4.5 vapor can be hot so your eyes  if you happen to misjudge. My girlfriend once made us wait before we went inside a store cause she was embarrassed at how red and watery my eyes were. I'm kind of glad she did lol.

Anyway, hydrotubes would be great in a sanctioned public place with a couple of legal friends. I'd say if you're looking for an alternative to ripping the piece, this is a very nice alternative as well. I imagine this is what breathing in from a bag vape would be like. Normally my draws can be a little difficult, and like I said before that can start to cause a headache. But very little draw resistance here. Granted, you don't want to breathe in too hard with this little piece anyway since the water can bubble up. However, I did a looooot of testing with it and it will only spill from the top at a normal water level. No spilling from the inside tube, which is most important to me because it keeps the vaporizer working.

I notice they still list their ss case as an accessory. Haven't heard of anyone receiving one yet after the early production issues.

I got one of @Ratchett's leather cases for the gh in place of the ss case and I'm glad I did! It's BEAUTIFUL!!! And I don't even have my gh yet! Perfect gift to yourself for Christmas. I admit I got a 2nd one to give as a gift

Now I get to cancel my ss case...

Has GH acknowledged the battery issues (only lasting 1-3 bowls) and the reasons a number of grasshoppers were dying here recently? I've been casually following the GH for quite some time but lost interest (due to missed dates and all that nonsense).

Now that the aren't made of unobtainium I'm awfully tempted but so few bowls per battery is a major turn off. For those of you who had issue, how was GH's customer service through the warranty work?

Battery is only really rated for 3-4 bowls anyway, depending on use, temps and draw etc. So its probably a non issue to them

Countless weeks with my Grasshopper going strong and wanted to chime in on the battery issue.
I get AT LEAST 4 chambers off one battery charge. I think the key is turning the hopper off mid draw. The residual heat is more than enough for a massive cloud that makes many of the vapes in my signature green with envy.

Thank you for this! How much herb + hits per bowl pack? Same temp or temp step?

Well that's good, 3-5 is a lot more doable than the 1-3 I saw some users mention. Then again those users may not of taken care of their batteries and whatnot, I also anticipated batts being pricier being "branded" and all. Guess my main concern now is the customer service! Dig the warranty but it doesn't mean much if getting them to stand behind it is like pulling teeth.

Any firsthand experiences? GH and FW3 are the top contenders for my new portable at the moment. Just read Zion may have units out early 16' too though.. :worms:

VAS is all to real.

So far the customer service has seemed good, all warranty issues are being taken care of and any refund requests are getting processed quickly.

That's good to know Adobewan.

Always found the reports of batteris only lasting 1 bowl a bit dubious. Especially after seeing vape wizards review on YouTube where they get through around 5 bowls. Maybe some people have faulty batteries/hoppers? Find it doubtful it's only down to the way they use their hoppers.

I'm just a couple days in but battery hasn't lasted more than 2 bowls yet, I'm drawing fast and turning off in the middle. Need more time to test capacity, and only one battery for now (they didn't combine my orders) so limited capacity to test.

Come to think of it, the guys from vape fiend say theirs only lasts 2 bowls too.
I can't see it being too much of a problem as the spare batteries are relatively cheap and quite small in size too.
