You should be very careful at 50w, without holding the FIRE too long, even not a second before trying to take a drawUgh...combusted trying bong rips at 50 watts

That's why it's called a learning curve50W? You guy's are cra cra!
I hover around 55 dry or 60 through water, speedbowls only for me haha50W? You guy's are cra cra!
I think I want to try a Stempod Si. 2 questions:
Will my Vaporesso Swag or Armour Pro be a good fit for it or should I order something different? They are both over 50 watt devices..
Anyone know how long it takes to get one from a pre-order, if I order it today?
Still having problems?Damn im having a hard time getting used to my si. lol i just combusted 2 times. Man i dont miss smoking. yuck
edit: im getting no atomizer error and check atomizer error on my mod now....
Should be ok, after a burn off and some heat cycles they will most likely settle at a slightly lower resistanceSo I recently ordered a spare build deck and stock Clapton coils for my Si, and i installed a pair today.
The resistance is supposed to be 0.23-0.26 and these are reading 0.28. Did I mess something up? I tried to upload a pic but couldn't get it to take.
btw, how can u use 60w? you take a draw slowly? what's the tip here for taking a draw? thanksStill having problems?

Thanks. I haven't dry fired them yet, so I'll do that next. 20 watts?Still having problems?

With 60 it's a faster draw for sure, anything over 50ish is water pipe only for mebtw, how can u use 60w? you take a draw slowly? what's the tip here for taking a draw? thanks
Yeah if you're using SS coils then just get them to patina and that should get rid of any finger oils from installationThanks. I haven't dry fired them yet, so I'll do that next. 20 watts?
nah man im good im the dude from reddit too. The pin on the deck was a little loose for future reference just in case some one has similar issues.Still having problems?

So I heated them at 20w till they glowed a couple times. They looked sort of coppery but now after a bowl have turned dull gray, though they still have a little copper to them. Has this oxidized? Should I stop using them? With 60 it's a faster draw for sure, anything over 50ish is water pipe only for me

This is normal, once the coils get used a few times the rainbow fades into this color, this just means they're broken inSo I heated them at 20w till they glowed a couple times. Thanks. I got them glowing red and then read somewhere that heating them to glowing can damage the wire. Thanks for all your help, Dan, I'm pretty new to this. This is normal, once the coils get used a few times the rainbow fades into this color, this just means they're broken in
They glow with proper use, and the glow isn't what causes the coils to degrade, it's the speed of the heat up and cool down.Thanks. I got them glowing red and then read somewhere that heating them to glowing can damage the wire. Thanks for all your help, Dan, I'm pretty new to this.
Ah, now I get it. Though I did keep the button down till they glowed pretty brightly. They glow with proper use, and the glow isn't what causes the coils to degrade, it's the speed of the heat up and cool down.
Essentially trading heater longevity for speed, mitigated by the fact it's rebuildable
I have an Si and like it a lot.I am interested in the Stempod Si. I have an og stempod and I never really got it dialed in and my fat fingers can't replace the O-ring.
The Si is lighter and hopefully I will like it.
Can someone enlighten me as why are the coils kanthal?
Will Kanthal work on a DNA mod?
Will Kanthal work on TCR?
Thanks
Also very interested to hear from people who already have a SI?
