Two weeks in, this log is the real deal. It's just great, plain and simple. I leave the CL plugged in all day and hit it throughout the day pretty consistently. Still haven't changed the dial from 6, has worked out of the box for 1-3 hits of full extraction, rarely worth the third. Just high marks all around frankly. I think my only complaint is how messy the injector bowls get, which is easily fixed with running water, and I cannot imagine exclusive to CL injector bowls, it just reinforces the good decision I made buying an ash catch, tbh.
Otherwise, I've combusted twice. I consider this excellent considering its daily use for the past two weeks:
1) Using the wood/glass bowl. It has a smaller chamber, the heat source is closer, and I simply overpacked. I've been much better about removing the CL to allow some cooler air to flow / not building up hits for too long / packing less. Haven't had a repeat, i'm also just better about handling it on this bowl and more cautious. I've also started using this bowl unplugged only, I imagine that would decrease combustion chance.
2) Last night in one of the CL injector bowls. I attribute this to two things primarily; drier material than I have used so far, and this followup combusted hit came after a lengthy heat soak period. There was likely no moisture left in the bowl to cool the air at all, and I drew too hard forgetting it wasn't a fresh bowl. It was also probably overfilled or too tightly packed.
Going to be more mindful of the density of my packs, and also whether they are hit 2 or if that is even viable / necessary. I'm assuming the combustion last night was due to the dry material, so I think just re-hydrate that jar properly should also help mitigate.
