After using the wooden mouthpieces and the glass bowl for a while, I feel like the best solution for my taste, is putting the herb chamber directly into either a 14mm stem or an 14mm adapter if used on bigger rigs with 18mm stems.
There's no o-rings needed either, you just drop it in there and take it out after it cooled down again.

This gives me the best combination of flavour and extraction while still delivering massive hits.
National holiday's wake and vape in process... :)

Down the rabbit hole I go...

Is it an issue/problematic to leave the temperature controller plugged into the power supply 24/7? I've been unplugging my Couchlog, but leaving the power supply and temp controller plugged in and set to my preferred setting while not in use. Outside of being a small waste of electricity, I wasn't sure if this may affect my temp controller over time or anything (?)

p.s. That SPECIAL EDITION THUJA BURL CL up on the 420eng site currently...😍

Thank you, I also really wanted to know that.

Hello. I would like to know the exact references for the cable that connects the CL to the controller. The one currently in use with my device has become loose. Amazon link? Thank you in advance.

Hey all, so last night was using my log and got a little zooted and knocked it onto the doona on my lap (synthetic) and it melted some. Now, the device smells a little "chemically". Have hit the hot end with paper towel soaked in iso and no luck. Have got it sitting at 10 at the moment to try and burn it off. Any other suggestions as to what to do?

Have you tried using some steel wool? When I dropped my flowerpot on the carpet I used one of those and a wet paper towel did the trick.

I would avoid running it at 10 tbh, I think you will get the same heat treatment effects at something like 8/9.

Also goes without saying, please don't burn yourslf trying to clean! you can always turn it super low so its warm but not hot to touch to clean it!

Good luck buddy!!

Also PS. what is a doona?

Will give that a shot later. Also, doona is what Australians call a duvet.

Got my new glass stems for my CL:

(Shown here with my blackwood stem).

I really like them, but they are pretty different. The cooling pads don't fit in the stem. I might try the boro balls, but I haven't bothered with that yet. They seem to cool okay with nothing at the lower temps. As a WPA they work WAY better. I love having all the options with the CL, which continues to be my favorite vape.

There should be langer pad included with the stem. Please write me an email if you don't have one.

You can use your old pads, when ur glas is a bit sticky. Just put them in the middle they should stay there.

I did get the larger pads (thanks!) The old pads can sort of fit but I have to give them a squish. Either way I am enjoying putting the new stems to good use. Glad I was able to grab them.

We will bring back the budget version with a plastic controller. Price will be under 300€. But were very busy atm.
Hi,

I am intrigued by the Couchlog. It looks like a good option for my nanodosing, and it is proudly made in EU, lol
Any update about when the budget version could be available?

Peace

Do you mean the one without the PWM, mentioned at the beginning of this thread? Or the Oak one? Just curious mostly. Only Chris can say for sure.

I meant one with a plastic controller instead of the wood one.

Decided to pull the trigger on the new glass stem (and also picked up a glass bowl). I'm really excited at how they all compare to the stock stem and Dfreez bowl! The CL is by far my favorite vape and I can't wait to experiment! One configuration I haven't tried is putting balls in the stem but the heat doesn't really bother me. I feel like that would be more difficult to clean?

I think you will like it. The glass bowl is my favorite accessory. I like it better than the Dfreez bowl due to the taper, but the Dfreez bowl is better for my UD Alpha.

Are they glass lined by chance?

You're so right! I'm in love with the glass bowl. And now I need to pull out my UD Alpha to try out the Dfreez bowl with it! I'm also digging the glass lined stem, though I feel it's a little hotter than I'd like. I feel a bit dumb and can't figure out where to squeeze in the cooling pad- it's a much tighter fit than the stock stem.
