I think I'll be pulling the trigger on an air!
It was a toss up between the air and ascent, but I already have GonG stems from my solo that I can use, and the interchangeable batterys is a huge plus!
I can't stand waiting for my solo to charge. What are you guys think?

Yes, Solo GonGs pair great with the Air.

That's nice I'll have to pick one up when I get my air. Looks like a nice way to take it to work with me lmao!

I emailed Arizer regarding the $100 Air units off EBay. This is Kevin's response, I thought I would pass it along, FYI.

Thank you for your email.
We do not know who this seller is or how they could be selling the Air for such a low price, but it looks like it was a one time sale -- it definitely raises some red flags and I recommend being very cautious about ordering from such a low priced listing. If you did purchase one of the units, if you receive the order and provide us with the serial number we'll be happy to verify the authenticity of the product.
If you have any further questions or require any further assistance please feel free to ask.
Best Regards,
Kevin

Thanks for that @CarolKing! I may verify the authenticity of mine when they arrive...or not... it's not like anything can be done if they don't have warranty and something happens, so i'm not going to worry about it! Should have them on tuesday!

I've noticed some strange behaviour from my Air and wanted to see of anyone else is experiencing this. It seems to randomly shut of way before it hits the ten minute mark, sometimes as early as one minute. It seems to do this more often after it gets hot. Anyone else seeing this?

Gentle Friends,

Here's a fun (and IMO useful) mod of the 'skin' shipped with the Air. It was suggested by a friend who had become annoyed with the little cover for the charge port popping open. He had found a wide rubber band that was the right size to hold it shut and partially block the indicator lights on the other side (a feature he liked in darkened rooms)......until he lost the band.

After a bit of discussion we decided a piece of the skin might work. IMO it works very well indeed:

I cut a piece off the top end with scissors, leaving a sloppy cut. I then taped it to the top cap in the right spot so I could slice the end off with a razor blade to get a square end (using the edge of the cap mouth as a guide). I added a square of opaque tape to make a shutter to completely block the lights if you want by just rotating the band about 20 degrees. You can see it just to the left of the center line.

The band tends to stay put well, but still be loose, due to the cover on the back and flat for the front panel. This keeps the Air from slipping out of my hand which it tends to do lacking the undercut on the Solo.

Recommended for your consideration, I'm enjoying it for the time being.

This is known and not a problem. If it gets too hot, it has an autoshutoff for protection. Happened to me a couple of times, and freaked me out.

Ahh I see. That's good to know. Do you think it would help to cut off a portion of the rubber grip so it's not covering the vents around the heater? It seems to overheat a little too easily.

Probably! It shouldn't be a common issue that's forsure. Are you operating mostly on red? I never used the sleeve.

OK. I jumped on the "Air" wagon. I have been on the fence between the Solo and the Air. I think all I'll need is an extra battery. I'd like to thank everyone for all information shared.

I did two full batteries, about 11 sessions on yellow today consecutively, mostly with a bubbler and the PVHE so giving the heater a good workout. I might have been able to get one more out of the first battery but it did the job for everyone just before it ran out of juice. Pretty impressive. No overheating, no turning off.

Seems like ideally you're able to get 60 minutes out of a fresh battery even on higher settings, which is pretty good considering its size and the battery charge time. It's a nice little vape. People were blown away how long it lasted.

I've vaped, and I can't get up!
I love this Vape, but had a first experience and run in with an issue and just thought maybe I'd throw down a heads up.

While travelling in the Air with my Air (sorry had to), I had it in my checked baggage. In its case with stems. They gave it the old x-Ray and I got the, "Stand here while we open your bag" line from security.

The next question was " are there any weapons in this bag"

So, I am a medical user, but haven't had that situation with Authorities where I need to discuss it or prove it. I was sweating!

She headed right for my Air and I calmly told her it was a vaporizer. She looked at me a little odd. She then dove deeper in past my dirty gitch, to the bag, where yes, was my green. She opened it, and yes it did stink (the green). And she made another look at me, but then looked at the label for a couple of secs.

She tHen closed it up and started packing my bag. I said nothing. I offered no explanation, or my card from my supplier. I asked where the departure gate was, and walked away.

I half expected the police to come in as I waited for my plane, or to meet me in Toronto after I collected my bag.

I've travelled with my Flowermate lots, and never had it flagged in my luggage, yes the Arizer is far superior In the Vape dept., but yes it does look like a taser/detonator/ I can only imagine how sketchy it looked in that X Ray.

The Air is just a beast. I feel like the extraction is really close to perfection. This thing is simply a game changer for medicating! Just keep it away from people who will ask about exactly what it is for policing purposes.

Hi guys.
My air just arrived today. I have orderd 2 more batteries would it be ok to charge them with the omicron charger? That would be real nice so i did not have to buy a new charger.

A few things you can try...

Don't overpack the stem, maybe try less herb in there.

Use a mesh or screen to keep the air holes more open.

Once the stem in inserted give a light tap, sometimes looses the herb especially if it's sticky.

Mod your stem to increase the airflow by creating notches.

Buy a high airflow stem.

Sure one or more of these will get you the draw you require :)

Hi guys.

My advice would be to avoid that charger. It's basically the cheapest available, and uses some shortcuts that IMO are dangerous. Notice only one light? That's because it's really a single channel charger with two sockets. The two batteries are connected in parallel. Potentially very very bad should you accidentally put a fully charged battery in with a completely discharged one. You won't even have to plug it in to get into trouble since the stronger one will attempt to charge the weaker as fast as it physically can (which is way faster than the rating). IMO a 'worst possible case'.

You have a safe option already, simply charge in the Air between sessions. Like when you sleep?

That charger is questionable for batteries used in pairs (so the above condition doesn't happen) and with lesser batteries (brute power wise), but here the potential for problems more serious than short battery life are very real I believe. Avoid using it. In fact I don't even use it to charge Omicron and Persei batteries.
I see.
So it flashes like a red color when the battery is near dead?

No, it flashes red for the second half of the range. First green, then white, then orange to the 50% point, after than it's red each power up. Once the voltage drops under about 3.6 Volts in my tests. I did a series of tests (max temperature, no stem) which load less than making vapor. The series went 12 ten minute sessions (not the less than 60 minutes that happens in real use), from 11:35 to 1:36 when it stalled. Two at green, two white, two orange and six red.

use the stem with the plastic tip. That smaller opening gives a good idea of how much you're supposed to be drawing. My tip is to not fully seal your lips when drawing. IMO you can get a better feel for how you are able to vary your intake easier with the mouthpiece stem. Once you get it down the same technique can be used for the stem with no tip.

Also, if you use a screen be sure to give it a quick clean with iso every once in a while.

I see.

when you first turn on the new air the temp setting light will show a color for 1 second to indicate power level. Red = low, green = full, and all in betweenl.
