Literally scored this recycler hydratube for a crazy price recently I had to jump on it after they stopped making these . Super happy & still loving the evo. What a great vape to have in the line up . I used to have 3 and had sold them but missed the vape so much I had to get another . With my flowerpot vrod I think I am set for desktops , vas kinda has me interested in the new Petra but I’ll have to see how it performs . Can’t really see myself grabbing it if I have this . Recently grabbed some glass nails also. I have limited time for desktop use these days but happy to have a evo around . Really wish I never got rid of my Tao monkey heat shield , that’s going to be super hard to find ,

I'm sure a percentage of my difficulty in cleaning the boro's is due to my inexperience with concentrates, making a bigger mess than I should be.
Following up on this some more, I ended up dabbing with the EVO twice last weekend again. It was great ⭐ and I decided to get a few pictures of the boro VapeXnail in use to share, before and after cleaning. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, here's two to add to the owner use knowledge base here :).

The first comes from after dabbing a clean boro VapeXnail twice. Each dab was finished with a 10-15 min heat soak at near max temp in the EVO, plus a cotton swab wiping. It's pretty clean imo for not being clean  and a good sign of very reasonable EVO dab sizes .

And here's the same boro VapeXnail after using an ultrasonic cleaner with a mixture of hot water & PBW. Clean clean ✨

Ready to go for this weekend 👍

As I use larger dabs, the staining and mess gets worse. My HTFSE sauce is particularly susceptible to this (compared to my live resin and shatter use). Like its lower viscosity makes it easier to get a bit of liquid into the bamboo.

I think the EVO vapes concentrates beautifully when one gets a good method going, but it has a significant dab size limit in the rice grain range and if you go over concentrates get into the bamboo glass. That's a legitimate problem for many people but not everyone. The EVO can't do large dabs, it overflows, becomes a pita to clean and can affect flavors. Some users get so far as to plug the the EVO bamboo from dabbing concentrates that's far too many big dabs going into the EVO.

Still, with that caveat and taking care to keep dabs small, I find the EVO excellent for vaping concentrates. This comes from nearing three years of ownership, and only having to clean the bamboo twice, both times from a little too large of a dab. I can live with that frequency (and probably will do even better in the future as I get more experience under my belt) because bamboo cleaning isn't crazy difficult either, it's just a hot 99% ISO or PBW soak and time (with some shaking and swabbing thrown in). Many here have helped to develop a reasonably simple method to clean the bamboo, which helps a lot ⭐. Thx and pay it forward.

TGIF & cheers to all EVO owners👍. Always great to see owner vids posted 🌠.

I'm a big enthusiast of a clean clean rig and setup when vaping. It's worth it when cleaning is as easy it can be with a good setup and the EVO. It makes a big difference in flavors, my friends who vape don't keep their vapes as clean... and we all share the same cannabis batches so it's a direct comparison when I visit, vaping off their gear and cannabis.

While I like variety and am enjoying concentrates in the EVO more lately (since a lull from late spring), I still big time prefer flower overall :luv:. Very different highs to me. I'm currently vaping Super Lemon Haze (SLH) flower in the EVO at low temp, after a break and it's great. Potent :science: . I like a coarse grind to let the EVO shine with flower and it still vapes evenly (staying below a ~60% full ELB, iirc).

I just put the low temp vaped SLH aside and refilled the ELB with Strawberry Cough . Good times ahead and the SC batch is full of premium cola nugs I'm slowly going through... dense and heavy. Here's a zoomable picture of the SC batch again, frosty & enjoy.

I thought I'd share another observation from vaping cannabis, in all its greatness and variety:leaf:. If your vaping comes from going with the same volume of cannabis time and again, that actually is a very poor estimate of the amount of cannabis one is vaping and your dose is varying wildly :sherlock:. Today, I weighed out both the SLH and SC batches here to the same amount today and the volume difference in the ELB was huge, it was half/twice the volume between the two. For those interested in detailing/observing their cannabis intake, get a scale and weigh out your flower amounts... digital scales are cheap and they will provide much more consistent cannabis intake estimate . It's better and better in all ways 🧘 (if ur into those things).

HAF so sorry for any grammar/spelling issues . What's going on out there in EVO land? Cheers

:peace: :leaf:

I use my EVO upside down in a bong but it seems to break the bamboo pretty regularly every 1-2 years, and the repair fee seems to be getting higher.

Does anyone have an EVO >3 years old with no bamboo repair needed? Do you invert or use a hydratube?

My EVO is around 6 years old and 90% of the time I use it inverted with my D020-D. No issues. I'm extremely careful and I never leave the D020-D inverted on the EVO....I lower the EVO onto the D020-D, take my hit, remove the EVO and set the EVO down right side up until the next hit - rinse and repeat.

Is the EVO getting stuck upside down/inverted? How much pressure is used when lowering the EVO onto the bubbler? Are you leaving the EVO inverted and on for more than a minute? I can't imagine how hard I'd have to bring the EVO and the D020-D together to damage the bamboo.

If I remember correctly using the EVO inverted is not recommended by the manufacturer but I kind of remember someone on the manufacturer side saying that only using it inverted long enough to take that hit should be fine.

TGIF and happy Thanksgiving holiday to the US folk ! I hope your all enjoying the EVO too.

I'm back on the EVO today and it's as great as ever. I had a boro VapeXnail from last weekend that was about 2-3X as dirty as what's posted above and I forgot to clean it. I did take reasonable care of the VapeXnail over 4 dabs with no accidents (overflow). Into the ultrasonic cleaner it went today, with ~1 cup of hot water and a ~1/2 tsp of PBW stirred in. Two 8 minute ultrasonic cleaner sessions and then a quick scrub using @macbill's recommended plastic ELB mini brushes had the glass looking clean clean 👍. This hands off strong cleaning kicks azz, it's so easy I just made double sure and threw the VapeXnail back in for one more 6 minute session... digital timer & no attention needed. It's perfectly clean, dried already (dry air here) and ready to go. A friend is visiting this weekend and I'll share some cannabis love with them and the EVO :leaf:.

I'm still using the same one ELB from new @ataxian, almost three years now! Obviously no bamboo repairs needed here either.

Cheers and have a great weekend all!

Hey long time no see fellas.. Sorry I barely have time to come here anymore. Real quick.. does anyone know the exact measurements for the hose that Vapexhale sells? I don't want to fork out 8 bucks for 18 inches over there at VXL. Food grade silicone hose that fits the 18mm wpa's? Anyone have a link? It has to be cheaper than this! What MM is it? If it's cheap enough I may buy a good amount. I've been using my Evo with my Cannabis Hardware Showerhead and My Custom Creations bubbler and love it more than the hydratubes!

But the hose gets nasty after a month of use.. and It simply needs to be replaced. I wouldn't even think of cleaning it.. Anyone got a link from a medical supplies company or something? It just needs to be the same MM to fit on my 2 18mm female adapters.

Thanks!

Nice!

Was :science: when posting yesterday and forgot to mention this  . I recently saw some brass brushes recommended on Reddit for cleaning VapeXnails and supposedly it removes all staining easily. This could be another great tool & the shiz?! Thoughts?

Found these measurements in the link recommended by someone else for silicone tubing fwiw.

7th Floor should know too (and is a good source for tubing it seems since resellers use them).

Hope that helps.

Have a great weekend everyone and vape on

Thanks so much man! I have some soft bristle brushes (same size as what Vapexhale used to include in their cleaning kit) that work great for the nails! I also have a pair similar to what you mentioned above for stubborn caked on live resin!. I can't believe I've had my Evo for so long without trying out my own glass! Always used the HT's up till now!

It's so hard to resist the siren call of my portables over a desktop. They are usually loaded, low effort, and get the job done. But the EVO is such a premium experience, and always delivers as much delectable vapor as you could want. It never leaves my desk, even unused, always ready.

So what to do?
1)two freebie vacuum capsules from POTV and Puffitup; one for prefilled baskets, one for spent baskets
2)10 baskets preloaded with "a can of beer from the fridge" worth of herb. A dose that you can finish.
3)Enjoy an effort free experience, easily refreshed!

I’m sorry to bother, but if you’re talking Jimi it’s Hendrix and I’m a loyal fan that can’t let that pass, no offense sincerely. Jimi and Bob NY 68.

Guitar is one of homo-Sapien’s music maker’s & Hendrick’s raise’s the talent to the cloud’s & beyond.
Da EVO would bring him NIRVANA if he was present?
One of my guitar’s is a copy of a 66 model he played (some studio bloke said?) Sound is decent actually?

The brushes look really interesting, I think I'm going to try them out. I like that they are brass, and I bet they will clean out the ABV a little easier? They will also clean better, the synthetic ones get gummy.

Question for those who use the silicone tube with glass, what is your cleaning regimen with it and when do you replace it? I use a drop of Dawn or a small amount of ISO once a day, but it still is yellowing/staining.

I have a whip for the EVO I've never used. Nebula mp and everything. The lynx with a dab dome mouthpiece is so fun and suitable, I never want to use anything else (except when it's swapped for the helio). This makes me want to dig it out soon and give it a go. I bet it's really fun to watch the lynx from afar!

Plus, I hear you can use a rolling pin to squeeze all of the reclaim out of the hose into an easy to save puddle...

Riddle for you… How do you make surround sound speakers disappear? You look at Vapexhale’s site and see the new Evo Hanu Petra! What? A new Evo? I WAS gonna get me some surround speakers but not anymore!

No mention of it here? I just happened to go to site today cause I dug my Evo out and had great experience and THERE IT WAS… they got a new version shipping in Feb! Wha say you Evo nation?

So far it looks like Evo owners are wondering what the main differences are if there are any. Looks awesome for someone without a current Evo, though. Or if I was still in my party years, sharing pieces with groups of people, I would order it without hesitation.

All I can really find is a faster heat up time. Also a draw back is you can no longer invert the evo onto your own glass.
