Are they scrapping that aluminum grill top to create metal particles for you to inhale through a closed tube air path into your lungs? Ingesting through your GI system vs inhaling through your respiratory system isn’t that the same at all. Of course you can’t avoid breathing in all particulate matter in reality but what’s wrong with wanting to avoid as much as you can control? Especially when shelling out almost a grand on a top of the line “medical” device.
Also I want to add to this, if you take a cup of breakfast cereal high in iron (Total cereal, for example), blend it real good with water, and then use a magnet, you can actually get the iron dust in the cereal to become attracted to the magnet. :science:

Right. But you need iron to survive. In your gut, not your lungs.

You don't need aluminum, and certainly not in your lungs. The in your lungs part is really important.

Also, isn't this off topic in the first place?

Ironic calling for mods. If mods were active here they would have squelched some of the noise and S&B bashing going on here that has carried over from their latest offering. How long has the Plenty been around?
I don't get this hyperbole about the amount of aluminum dust that is being created by the 1/4 turn of metal on aluminum contact that occurs. S&B can't control how hard or forceful one may close their chamber, they may expect common sense to come into play. Also if that much dust occurs, how would said dust travel from its current state created between the two metals, through the weed load, then through the screen, up through the winding cooling chamber and then into you.
I've had mine for over 3 years, and there is some scratching that has occurred, but very minimal. Someone here actually asked if there were metal slivers from those scratches darting into his lungs the vapor was hitting him so hard. smh.
Hope all are healthy, well and Rona free. :peace:

Does anyone know what size the silicone tubing is if I wanted to connect my plenty to a 14 or 18mm female downstem of a bong? I’m really bad with this kind of stuff and all help is greatly appreciated.

7/16" OD with a 1/16" thick wall will fit over the Plenty cooling coil and a 14.4 mm male end adapter. Of course, you can purchase silicone adapters if you wish. https://delta3dstudios.com/nearly-universal-vape-to-waterpipe-adapter-large/ Good Luck
Thank you so much. And sorry, but what does "1/16 thick wall" mean? Is that simply the distance from the ID to OD or a different measurement? Thanks again for your time

And sorry to bombard you with replies, but do you think this tubing would work?https://www.ebay.com/itm/10mm-ID-14...265772?hash=item263410aeac:g:EoMAAOSwElpePL~M

With some spit, twist and push it should fit the cooling coil and the 14.4mm male adapter. Of course, I may be even worse at this then you are.
7/16" OD cooling coil
8/16" OD a generic 14.4 male adapter
6/16 ID of Silicone Tube
1/16" Wall of silicone tube which should be stretchy enough to work.

These are off the top of my head calculations, and my motto has always been "Close enough for government work."

You can just pull the silicon tube off the S/S coil and slide it onto a 14mm male to whatever size GonG you like, the 14mm end will then seal in the black housing like the S/S whip did.

How would you guys compare the vapor flavor from the Plenty, to the Mighty or Volcano Hybrid?

With the normal filling chamber the vapor from the Plenty is light and delicious, unless you pack heavy. I do not. It’s almost like inhaling warm scented air.

The following is for the Plenty my hybrid.

As an experiment I used the reducing chamber which creates more conduction and got very close to matching the flavor of the Mighty/Crafty. If you’d like more conduction, you can use the dosing capsules as well which creates even more conduction.

There is a slight difference in flavor with the hybrid and I think it’s the long silicon tube vs the SS cooling unit in the Plenty.

Has anyone got a clever way to use the reducer chamber without dosing caps? I just do not like dealing with these tiny things.

Everytime i put only flower directly in the reduced chamber herb doesn't stay in place, it goes flying all over the place and doesn't get vaped.

Leave the lid off the loaded capsule, drop a screen over the capsule .... Stand by for test results.... Works but the usual extra screen and drip pad with the standard rig works better. IMO

Press the screen in the cooling unit down through the opening. This will apply pressure to your flower. I know someone discussed nippling screens. Making them convex/concave holds the herb in place.

@ChooChooCharlie was the nippling advocate. some detailed pics and a how-to somewhere in this thread.
The little mesh dosing pad that comes in the concentrate capsules works well to pin the weed in the reducing chamber.

IMO, I like the Hybrid taste more than the Mighty. I have never used the Plenty, yet.

I think you’re saying that for you, the Plenty is better than the Hybrid? I’m not sure if you are also saying that you like the Mighty flavor better than the Plenty.

I think the Mighty tastes terrible compared to my Plenty(with glass j hook instead of the stinky S\S coil), don't know about the hybrid, fucking silicon hose, even worse than the stainless coil.

Ordered the Plenty 2 days ago and haven’t heard a peep from S&B. I’m in California and I know their Oakland store is closed. Anyone have any recent shutdown experience with ordering from S&B? If so, how long is the process going to take? I can’t waaait!

Yes. I’ve always thought the Volcanos vapor was to dry and harsh. The only reason I bought the Hybrid was for the Workflow function. Low temp taste plus higher temp effects.

Mighty/Crafty vapor is uniquely different than the Plenty, yet both smooth and tasty. I prefer NY Strip, but a filet won’t hurt my feelings, no?

Now, the Hybrid whip function is close to the Plenty but just different enough that I still use it, just not as often.

The Hybrid has made it easy to stay on mains power and get three vapes in one. Almost.

I’ve never had an issue with the Coil, but I may try the j hook idea. You’re correct, the silicon tube jacks up the taste unless I run it through water which I tend to do quite a bit.

As for the Hybrid, I also like to use the workflows. Do a superbag/one bag to rule them all, and get the best of both worlds, flavor and effects, as you note. Is it too early to do one now?

I do love flavor though. I thought that the Ghost was going to be my flavor machine, until it, well, “gave up the ghost”.

I think Storz & Bickel froze my account on their website. For the past month I was unable to use Store Checkout when logged in, but was able to access all other parts to the website normally. I was even able to register my Plenty. I reached out to their support and they responded yesterday to let me know my DOB was entered incorrectly as 2020. But when I try logging in now, I am unable to access ANYTHING. I am really scared that if my account is frozen then my registration on the Plenty might be gone too. :(
