I'm unable to screw the bezel all the way. There seems to be a small gap, and something prevents it from going further. How would I fix this? Also, I replaced the heater screen, but might've assembled it wrong. Is it unusual for vapor or smoke to appear without any contents within? I tried heating up, to see if it worked and some vapor appeared.

Do you have the Turbo or the Classic? You can tell by the heater screen. A Turbo has a completely flat screen while the Classic screen has channels for the connecting rods.

I'm guessing that you have a Classic and that the rods aren't correctly seated. If that's the case it shouldn't work or if it does, it will work poorly and could be damaging the new screen. Make sure the rods are well seated before applying power.

It is normal for vapour to appear from a heated FV that has been used for a while. You probably noticed when you replaced the heater screen that the ceramic bowl was coated in resin. When you heat it up empty for a few seconds, you get some nice resin hits.

What about the bezel then? I still cannot screw it down properly. There's a small gap, capable for my thumbnail to get through. I have the FlashVape turbo, which was ordered from Vaposhop. I guess it just needs oil, right? Could it be damaging, or non-functional to vape with that small gap?

To me that means the ceramic bowl won't be properly clamped down onto the heater screen, in turn meaning that the contact will be poor and the screen will not heat up properly. It could even be damaged. You can take it into a dark room and watch how the screen heats up. It should be even and with the Turbo, fairly bright. If you see any bright spots you have a connection that is shorting and probably eating a hole in the screen.

How hard have you tried to screw it down? I use a rubber grip when I tighten mine. If it's threaded properly I don't think you can damage it. I would use wax rather than oil as a lube. It works well, I've done it. If you have tightened it hard by hand, try taking the handle of a screwdriver and banging all the way round the bezel a couple of times, then try again. I should have mentioned this trick already, sorry.

I have been digging my flashvape. I lost my ceramic spacer in a river last week as I forgot it was even in there so to get by, I took a 7/8" screen and gave it a concave shape and set that on the heater . Then I added another screen on top to get some space off the heater screen.

This with good legit 3.7 batteries work very well for me.

Any recommendations on aftermarket battery options?

Joel W.,

Sorry, I've been away. If your charger has failed, contact FlashVAPE. Their customer service is excellent.

The FV is capable of dabs when you use 3.7V batteries, but it's not really practical. FlashVAPE sells (or used to sell) a titanium plate for the purpose, but it really doesn't get hot enough. You can dab directly onto the heater screen, but I don't advise that.

Just bought my Flashvape Turbo in gun metal last night! I can't wait to try it out, it looks amazing!

I normally use a Magic Flight with the power adapter for my daily driver, and I have a Pax on hand for out and about. I'm gonna try out the FV with just the batteries, but if I like it (which I probably will) I will be buying the FVPA to replace my Magic Flight setup. I really prefer on/off vapes like this and was interested in the FV when it first came, but I don't like using batteries. The MFLB's power adapter really transformed it into a beast and I'm going to assume the same thing for this.

Come on Canada Post, get my package to my door already!!!

How do vaporizers do through US customs? Long delays, fees, confiscation, etc? Anyone know?

A new unused vapourizer should sail through Customs in either direction. So should used ones, unless you left it loaded or something. A reasonably clean device shouldn't be a problem. That's my experience, anyway. Remember, companies like FlashVAPE and Arizer and Herbalaire (all Canadian companies) move numerous used and unused units across the border all the time. I'm not aware of a single incident.

My FVT was supposed to be delivered tomorrow, but the tracking says it was presented to customs yesterday and it hasn't moved. I don't think I'll be getting it tomorrow, I just hope it doesn't sit there for too long.

Thanks for the reply, I hope your right.

Hi all, first of all thanks to all who share the knowledge here, I've been using a FV for a year now and I bought it because of the info shared in this thread and the fact the company uses this forum for communicating with their customers.

I had a bit of bad luck with the first one I received, after some use it didn't get hot enough for convection and every time I changed the heating screen things worked well for a couple of days and then gradually it would loose heating capability again.

So I wasn't sad when it broke down completely and was replaced by the online shop where I purchased it.

The second one I received works better but not as good as most members who own one have described in this thread. I did also buy the power supply (from CA, no one sold them in Europe at the time) which works fine. (tip: if you pull up the cord from the bottom of the vape upwards and put a rubber ban around the vape and the cord it will not fall over that easily anymore) but even in S1 with the power on 10 it needs 5-8 seconds to get a bit of heat in.

Anyhow: with S2 and the cells that come with that the FV works nicely as long as I give it about 8 seconds before starting to inhale and I like the hits that gives so I'm satisfied for the moment.

But now I've run into some nice oil and I would like some tips on how to use that in the Flashvape.

I've ordered the dabber set but the instruction video on Flasvape's site has disappeared and I haven't found any instructions on how to use the dabber in this thread. You need to remove the glass to get the dabber on the titanium plate (seated directly on the heating screen) but does that not mean the vapor just flies out of the top?

Should I use my thumb to cover the hole?

I'm afraid my FV will not get hot enough with the titanium plate and Pakalolo described another way to vape the oil in a 'nuget' what kind of stuff did you use to soak the oil in Pakalolo, cotton-wool?

All tips on how to use oil in a FV are welcome and yes I will order a FVT as soon as I can afford it (would be a nice Chrismas gift to myself).

Do you have the FV Turbo, which heats up faster and hotter? Unfortunately, if yours is taking that long to heat up then the dabbing kit will be useless. It might get hot enough to produce vapour but it will be nothing like dabbing with a nail. You would be better off to dab directly onto the heater screen, which I have done successfully. I'm not sure what the long-term effects of that would be, but the few tests I made did not hurt the heater screen at all. Incidentally, with both the FV Turbo and the FV Classic, the PA at 10 does not get as hot as the S2 (3.7V) battery does.

You are correct that you have to remove the top glass if you want to dab directly on the plate. You also have to remove the top screen, which I recommend that most people avoid because getting it back in place can be frustrating. You can still pull through the stem as usual to inhale the vapour, but it will whistle like crazy and you'll be getting a lot of air. You will get the vapour, but it's not a satisfying experience in my opinion.

The nugget I think you mean was produced by rolling some oil in ground flowers and just using that in the normal way. I have used cotton as a substrate and there are other materials around, such as hemp fiber. I'd stick to that sort of technique, and if you can cancel the dabbing kit order or return it, do so. Don't bother trying it. It was a nice idea but it just doesn't really work.

No Pakalolo it's a FV Classic so that's what I feared. Sending back the dabber set will not be a problem but could you (or anyone) advise me on a good vape for vaping oil?

Both the Underdog and the Haze (which are my daily vapes) do oil nicely without nails. I just cut SS pads to keep things neat and usually put a little herb as a bed too. The can's for the Haze work really well, the Dog stems stay really clean too. Both will give you long sessions with small amounts of oil, shatter wax etc. and if you drip a little they clean off easy.

I agree with @mikeben about the Haze. The V3 is a great unit and I've been pleasantly surprised at how well the Haze does with concentrates. Read the thread to pick up tips on how to do it right.

Haha timely submission here.....

I just picked on of these bad boys up. Just waiting for it to ship. I have been wanting one for a while but THIS solidified it! Holy crap.

@DutchTreat Mr. @mikeben can help you but I am here is well. While I work for Haze, I enjoy a lot of vapes (as you can see by my signature I have a bit of VAS and GAS) so I think I can point you in the right direction and tell you if the Haze is right for you. Just let me know. @pakalolo apologies for the slight derail. Just following your lead! :dog:

That's an amazing price for what was already a terrific bargain at its normal price. I just want to remind you and warn everyone else that because you are a manufacturer rep, your review of the FV must be 100% positive. You can tell us about the things you like but under our manufacturer rules you can't be critical.

As I've said elsewhere, I used the FV as a daily driver for a long time and I still love it, but I have always been hesitant to recommend it to anyone without extensive vapourizer experience, and even then it's not a device for everyone. I think you'll be fine with it. Just be quick getting off the button and be prepared to have a few combustion events. Fortunately it's really easy to clean up afterwards.

Yeah thanks Pak. My post count on other threads is severely down because of the reasons you mentioned. Mostly better to say nothing at all rather than say something that'll get me in trouble. Thx for the reminder and tips on the FV. I know it's one of your favorites which makes me want it a little more. Just could not wait any longer with the price where it's at!

Hi guys.....

Just dug the flashvape out from a cupboard where it has been stored since I moved house a year ago. Been too lazy to get it out as have a volcano sitting nearer lol.

Plan on taking it with me over the new year period and I have the state 2 conversion kit (with the 3.7 lithium batteries and ceramic separator). MY problem is that I have two chargers and not sure which one I should charge the 3.7 lithium batteries. They both have the same model not FDVC-002. One is a 800mA*2 output and the other 400mA*2

The lights come on when I use either so not sure why should be the correct one.....any ideas?

I can post pics is easier?

Have someone like @Pipes or @OF advise you. (they must know?)

The 400 would take longer than the 800 to charge.
Remember I know nothing just guessing?

Thanks. Perhaps an easier way would be for someone without the stage 2 conversion kit to share the charger the they have??
