Discontinued Vapor Blunt

I don't see the big deal about not being able to see huge clouds of vapor. Can someone help a brother out?

1. If the thing does it's job well - as far as effectiveness goes - why would the clouds matter? Assume the user is either blind, or in the darkness and can't see...

2. Are the clouds actual indicators of anything?

3. Could clouds be bad? Maybe because the material is getting too burnt?

I'm interested and only the size of it is the only thing stopping me from getting one right NOW - based off everything I have read here.

What specifically about what you have read here would lead you to be so anxious about purchasing this un-tested vaporizer over all of the well known and tested models that you read about on this site? I'm curious.

From what I read here, especially between the two or so reviews, it's a beast and delivers. Other than Muscle's preference of more vapor clouds, it seems it gets "the job" done.

I have not read much anything else on this site at all, other than the Lithe thread which I happened to stumble across, and how I found this site.

When I first stumbled across the word 'vaporblunt' in the index, I got interested because it seemed it would be small, and the newest thing out there. I like the fact everything is in one package that I can carry (I guess loaded as well).

However, the size is a lot bigger than I would like to carry around and consider portable for me. In the initial picture I saw, and the name (blunt) had me thinking it was the size of a cigar, but I doubt you'll find a cigar this big unless you buy it from a gag/novelty/costume store. The name is sort of misleading. If anything maybe VaporClarinet. If it was smaller I would buy it, just to try it!

I have an original Eterra that I love since it is handmade. However I hate using it because it takes 15+ minutes to warm up. I just started researching portable vaporizers two days ago. Other than seeing the MFLB everywhere (and hearing about it a year or more ago), I am skeptical about all vaporisers, especially anything made out of plastic, cheap metals, or manufactured in China. I do love that this is claimed to have been made in the USA.

It seems to each their own is the rule here. However, I took the jump and bought the MFLB today. It seems I cannot lose, so I took the dive for $90.

So, would you care to help me out about the vapor cloud question? How should vapor clouds affect my buying decisions? This question is coming from a vape-noob that has a 10?+ year old vaporizer, which didn't create very much clouds. I stepped into a new era of vaping and I really want to know!

sessnet,

it boils down to personal preference.
some people simply prefer smaller thinner hits because its better for your lungs & less irritating

However, some people want their lungs to feel satisfyingly full with big vapor clouds.
This people tend to me ex-bong people :p

there are arguments on both side
you can argue that your lungs can only absorb so much THC at once, so smaller hits are more efficient
on the other hand, big hits do tend to make your "peak" stronger (and onset much quicker), even if it might be overall a less efficient THC delivery

There's room for both types because there's always a market for both.

You could definitely say smaller hits can be more medicinal/healthier
You could also say big hits can be more recreational

Definitely a market for both.

For me coming from a heavy combustion backround, wispy hits of vapor regardless of how well they medicate me, just aren't satisfying. I guess having that feeling of a big heavy hit in my lungs is part of my addiction after all these years

What ever happened to ol' wildinout, the one who started this thread, and his buddy the one that's tickled pink with the blunt. He starts a thread talking about how awesome this vape is then gone, maybe he could give some usage tips. Are you two real or what?

There is and probably always will be a debate over whether the fact that exhaled vapor is wasted vapor. I don't wish to re-hash those debates. However I will say that exhaling vapor (at times copious amounts) is a pleasurable sensation (even if wasteful) for many that gives the vaporist a good idea visually of how much vapor he or she is ingesting. It is certainly not the most economical way to vaporize, but it provides instant feedback of the amount of vapor your vaporizer has just produced. This is especially true for long-time cannabis smokers like most of us here at FC that are used to visualizing the size of a combusted hit to guage how big of a rip you just took.

The VapeXhale Cloud is a perfect example of how "cloud chasing" is something that people want. Some people just want to get more vapor, more quickly. I personally find it enjoyable to see massive clouds exhaled from a monster rip. If no one cared about exhaling clouds of vapor for pleasure, then we would all only need our LBs and have no desire for heavier hitters. Clearly there is a market for the heavy-hitter vapes and always will be. A vaporizer that cannot produce thick clouds doesn't make it a bad vaporizer at all, it just will take longer using such a device to achieve one's desired effects.

If you took a poll of vaporists that asked "would you like your vaporizer to produce more or less vapor?", I doubt many would respond "less". There are exceptions of course, but my opinion is more vapor = a good thing.

Ok I get it. So it's basically just preference, not that the vapor is really an indication of anything.

I would buy a vaporizer just to get me "there". If the clouds don't mean a thing - then it shouldn't affect my buying decision.

However I will say I am THE HUGEST ex-bong head. If you want the craziest plumes of smoke - you can do this:

1. Roll a blunt
2. Smoke about two thirds.
3. Stick the blunt in bong bowl - surround with a bit of loose material to hold it in place.
4. See which one of your friends can do a dragon impersonation.
And/OR
5. Get to the moon in the shortest amount of time.

I know it's combusting - but that's what I used to do. Then I wisened up (and got short on cash) so I started to make love to an E-terra. After a few years of not using the bong like that, and instead using my E-terra which wouldn't produced much smoke at times, I sort of got used to not much smoke.

And I agree, the disappearance of the OP is a bit shady. WildinOut - where are you?

here for the chicks
I think the idea here would be big clouds of vapor rather then smoke, but if you like that you can get special GonG inserts that replace a normal bowl & fit a joint-tip. Not sure what they are called but I've seen them on EDIT for just a few bucks, I assume more glass shops sell them.

What's edit? I googled "edit smoke" and I got "every does it" -is that it?

Then I google "gong smoke" and got random pictures - I googled "gong bowl" and I got pictures of tibeten singing bowls...

Ahhh nice idea! However my method works WAY better. You can use almost any bowl, the fatter BLUNT you make the better it works...and the small bed around the sides to stand it up is the kicker...

I still dream about those days/years I had w/my blunt-bong. <3

Just to get back to the subject - I am going to give my MFLB a spin for a while (when I get it), then if I feel adventurous I think I might actually buy the VaporBlunt - it looks like a great product!

No, this vapes is the least efficient out of the 4 that I own. It uses twice as much on average. It requires a large amount of herb to get a nice hit. Like a blunt....

Twice as much? That sucks. I wonder why... Did you ever find out if your model was faulty?

The chamber is huge, and due to the nature of conduction heating the herb needs to be rather densely packed to work well. I've tried small loads and I can not get any visible vapor what so ever, even with a flashlight. With a large load (.3g) you can produce satisfying vapor with a very very slow draw.

So u need twice the herb to get medicated enough? That sounds realy bad. :(

Now, remember it gives a lot of hits off of a lot of herb. I should rephrase:

To get thick vapor hits you need a full chamber which is a lot of herb, but you will get a lot of hits off it and it can get a few people vaked.

Ahh, i see. It needs a lot of herb in the bowl to work propperly.
But at the same time it gives lots of hits out of that one bowl. That does not sound that bad afteral.
I would only cal it innefficient if you use more herb to get where u want. I dont mind having a bowl ready loaded for 2-4 sessions.
The way you said it it sounded like u would get twise as medicated if u vaped that bowl in a other vaporizer. :)
So maby i dont give up on this yet, wait for more reviews. ;)

I would like to thank all of you for the discussion, even muscles who obv doesn't like the vape. If never typed on a forum in my life, so this is a new experience for me. Just like any product, there is a "market share" and the vapor blunt will find it's place in the portable vape market. Some people will love it some won't. I have had a family issue that I had to attend to so I have not had time to meet muscles, I don't know when I'll be able to. But I doubt his unit is faulty from what I've read from him. It does take about .25 g to fill and it gets about 25 hits off that. I'd also like to thank FC for this forum to give me a way to communicate to the customers, the FC mods have been great. Just to clarify, I can review other vapes, but only positively. I can not say anything bad about them so I am choosing not to compare any other vapes to mine. If I was to say "vape xxxxxxxxxxx doesn't produce a cloud like mine" I would be committing a violation, so I don't feel I should speak about other people's vapes in comparison to mine. I'd also like to thank the mods again for being patient.

0,25g to fill one bowl and u get 25 hits? And how many of those hits have the fullblown flavor experience?
That same amount would give me 2-3 tastefull hits and 3-4 bad tasting hits on my DBV. And i also wil exhale large vapor clouds ( waste?) I love the big exhaled clouds, when i am at home with friends ;)
But i think i would actualy like the fact that u dont exhale any wisible vapor in a portable unit. If i am to vape in publick it is bether people who see me thinks i am drinkin something out off an weird botle, than if they se me exhaling large clouds and understant what i am up to.
I dont think this is a bad feature on a portable semi stelthy vape. Atleast not on the paper, i have to try one out to be sure :)

I think i will buy one just to try it out. (a pink unit) :D So i hope i get loads of cash for x-mas ;)
This vape looks like just what i have been looking for in a battery powered portaboe vaporizer.
No glass, no need to carry around shitloads of batteries if u gonna vape with friends outside.
So i think i just should take the risk an try one out. And if i dont like it i just sell it or give it ass a pressent to someone :p

Peace!

Soulhunter,
I was just curious what qualifies it as a portable vape? From what I saw in the video from vapornation its about the size of my forearm which doesnt exactly seem portable.

It definitely is on the larger end of the spectrum, the MFLB, No2, Solo, MiVape and Omicron are all smaller than it. Its really not that big though, and its pretty sleek and minimalistic which I like.
