That's an understatement, I dont think they are doing this because they think its going to function better, the original flat latching switch wasn't available so they are figuring out the best solution that will hold us over in the meantime until they can get the correct button made. I would rather have my cera with a lame bottom buttom sooner than later instead of waiting months for the correct one, as long as we get the new one for free when its available.

I just booted seven more posts into the Cera crap thread. They were about opening a Paypal dispute to cancel a Cera order, in direct violation of my instructions not to discuss that kind of issue in this thread. I really should have handed out warnings, but I am trying really hard to avoid closing this thread down or getting anyone banned, and you people just don't get it. I'm beginning to feel like that parent who says, "I'm counting to three..." and who just gets ignored because you know nothing really bad will happen. Wrong.

This thread is on its last chance!

Yeah it comes with an o-ring that lets you run it through glass. Not totally sure on the size but it looks like a 14mm. This video by TET demonstrates it being done:

tell my why this thread it's 'on its last chance'? threads have chances? man if there is a large consensus of customers who spent money on this product are unhappy, in my opinion it makes the info on this website useless, because anybody who has a complaint about a vape or anything gets shut down like they are spreading rumors, when they're just stating their situation with their vape.

i believe if i buy a vape and there are things wrong with it that I, the consumer, am unsatisfied, i dont understand why you get flamed for saying that on here.

im a newbie here to FC and i think its an awesome forum with loads of vital vape info, but i dont understand why the mods here have to constantly yell at the members and give threats of bans and everything else. for example ill probably get banned for saying that but if thats the reality of this forum then i'm alight with not being on it.

I made an account just to post on this forum, mainly because of my newfound obsession with the thermovape cera. My impression according to the ONLY source for videos on YouTube, is that the cera is the volcano of portables. If it had an adjustable thermostat and didn't look like a sex toy(ideally more discreet), it would be perfect. Be that as it may, I still want one bad. As a volcano owner for 6 years, its odd I just got into the market for portables last week considering how long they've been around. After digging around, I decided the cera is the top dog, although its not even available yet. Most other vapes seem to have a heat coil which combusts anything near it which seems incredibly primitive given available technology in ceramics which are readily available everywhere. Being the impatient person i am, I opted to buy a discreet micro vaped pen which is awesome. It's instantaneous although probably much less efficient than the cera. It's just a temporary and ill probably give it away once I get the cera or maybe keep it for its stealthability. On one of the "breakfasts of champions" videos, the guy had a bunch of concentrates laid out including a black round maluable substance. I'm wondering if a substance like that would work in the essential oil attachment or if its only suited for the loose leaf attachment. Maybe someone reading this knows? Anyways, hope its available soon, as pre-ordering is not something I wanna do as I will obsess and check my email constantly for the shipping confirmation and that's just not good. Hope some of you post vids once you receive yours so we get multiple sourced reviews and make the decision easier. :D

You are lucky it is me replying to this. And since you are a newbie to this forum, I'm going to give you some slack for this post.

Why do you come to this forum, and specifically this thread? Do you come for information on the product? Or do you come to complain?
The problem with this thread has not been people complaining about problems with the product itself since it hasn't been released yet, so your saying that we are "yelling" at people for that is inaccurate. What we are doing is trying to keep this thread about the product it was made for. Another thread was made for the complaints about shipment, preordering, etc. here. This was done in attempt to keep some order in this thread. Closing this thread would be a temporary measure until the Cera is released.

Now if you feel this is an unreasonable thing for the forum, please do feel free to "not be on it."

@ Stoke the ball you are referring to I believe is a type of oil that is like a soft wax, and would be ideal for use in the CEO, the general rule of thumb is that if the substance u have will transition to a liquid when heated then it wants to go into the CEO and if it stays solid or even gooey but still hard then it wants to go into the LLC. It's up to you to decide but I guess if you think it has any chance of dripping through the holes in the bottom of the LLC then I would try it in the CEO. as an idea I make my own QWISO which turns out pretty hard like candle wax (I guess it would be called shatter because it tends to snap when I try to cut it) but turns to an olive oil consistency the second I warm it up and I am gonna be putting that into the CEO but I hear bubble hash (which I have never tried) which you can grate could be used in the LLC. hope I haven't bored you to death with this post.

i appreciate that you replied to my post the way that you did. and yes i come to this forum because it has a HUGE amount of info on vapes, including negative info which is just as important when trying to make a decision about a vape. and i now understand what you are saying about only negative info (disputes about release dates and small design changes) swaying someone's decision on a vape that isnt even out yet.

and i also understand the atmosphere FC is trying to make on this forum, thats one thing i enjoy about this forum too is that the members are mature, and it just has generally a more mature vibe than many other forums. also I'm really sorry for posting off topic.

In all the last videos Noah isn't even using any Cera's with a side switch at all, even on one video he pretends to turn on the safety switch it isn't even on the unit lol and in the video with all the Cera's on there plates with there specific materials for vaping none of the cera have a safety switch on them either, we have been watching him use the cera with no switch for the last cera LL video and all the EO ones.
That's funny especially when he fakes the switch to on, it isn't even there lol
It's all good the vapor production is top notch I think saw a video of a guy using a persi bender, herc I think OF knows the one the cart is taken off and exposing the ceramic element and anyway he doesn't even come close to vapor like the cera LL

Excellent observation. As I've said, I think there are other Beta units out there somewhere. I know there are some with other configurations of colors similar to mine, Tim transferred the switch over when I did the last exchange with him (for the current strap up the inside of the tube configuration) and had to ask me 'which end is out when it's on?' as he got the pieces mixed up on the bench. The first time I saw it it was red/green. Being color blind, that didn't work for me so mine is green for off and white (out) for working (same color as the body, easy for me to remember).

So MM's observation makes it all 'come together' for me. I got the body in the first video I think? Then they gave me the first working oil core (obviously others of those exist as well). The original tube I got was exchanged last trip.

Anyway, thanks for the insight. I agree, the extra switch is not a show stopper. I'm guessing since I've had it accidentally turn on so has someone else? I've had that happen putting it away in the case (it was set up for bud and I smelled it) but did not report it as we never discussed my experiences/observations on it.

BTW, I also got a sample of the new battery (2250 mAh). I'm very impressed with it so far. I think I should switch back go herb carts for more testing (oil sessions tend to be real short for me.....). It's hampered some because there's not a second working unit available (I like to do such stuff "A/B", that is with similar units alternately, usually with one in each hand). It's pretty easy to make accurate comparisons between say power levels in LV T1 cores if you have both working at the same level to compare. Looked at the other way around you're depending on memory against a moving performance curve....not a recipe for accuracy.

Sorry to ramble, but I wanted to say thus far the substitute is a winner.

Ya by the way OF you said you might get a solo from a friend to try out , did you ever try it? And if so how did it compare with the Cera LL cart ? Just wondering it would give me a great comparison since I have one.
So maybe I'd get a good idea of the vapor ability compared to the solo.
I really don't think it is comparible though, one solo step gives me maybe 5 to 7 nice hits then tapers off its been a while but that's what I recall maybe ill pull it off the shelf and check it out, I allways use my cloud, my stationary vaporizer of choice.

Have you tried the valcano and if you have how does it compare to the cloud? I've been looking at the cloud but I already have the valcano and really like it plus I didn't know what hydrotube I wanted .

Yes, I got it some time back (before Christmas?). I just keep getting distracted with other projects and since I like to start such things 'fresh' I've put it off. With all the excitement about oil carts what little LL cart use I've done has been with bubble.

As there seems to be a lull in things, and today's major scheduled errand just got cancelled, I was thinking of testing the battery with the herb cart. I'll try to squeeze the Solo in there some how. Should work for quantitative measures if not qualitative ones (which you seem to have under control). It may take a while......I want to do a good job and all.....

So I was on the phone TET today and found out that the illuminated switch is no more, so that will have to be refunded but also the momentary switch will be sent with the cera and then later as the latch switches come in you can swap them out, I thought they were going to just send us the latching one for free, for hassles sake. And the safety switch I believe will become a optional switch so other battery brands can be used that dont have a button top. I hope they get a easy latching switch I could use both I suppose. I hope they give them both to us. I really believe the vapor quality is top notch and the craftsmanship will be awesome fast acting convection powerful portable that functions like a desk top vape.
I can't wait medicate with the cera in 2 weeks from now.

    Update:

We are assembling the LL, EO and EL cores as i speak. Everything is coming together pretty well, Still waiting on a few parts but we are moving forward with what we have available.

For those of you who are still concerned about the part we had to resolve last week, and just have to know exactly what was changed..... It was a simple bevel on one part to eliminate a sharp edge.... Just an added machine process and a little more QC to make sure they are assembled properly.

    Cheers,
    Tim

So maybe TET will throw in the 2 separate latches to compliment the 2 different carts for the Cera. The Cera LL would compliment the latched switch and the Cera EO would compliment the momentary switch for more control since the Oil cart releases vapor really fast and you need that control over the power.
Since there will not be a illuminated switch after all it would be a good alternative to the cera and how it operates according the Cart your using.
The carts should be latch switch specific this would solve issues on both ends of the cart and latch situation.
This would work for me and make things alot easier when switching LLto EO, you would just change the end cap also to work with the specific cart this will make it run more efficiently in my opinion.

I am an oil head and will use the EO cart 90% of the time, while I think I would get used to a momentary bottom switch I think it would be awkward for those who I would share it with. I really liked the bottom on off switch with a thumb switch to override it when in the on position, at least with a side switch it could be somewhat stealthy. Hopefully this info all gets sorted out in the next few weelks since if the side switch gets rejected then the momentary bottom switch is a must for me.

OF, when vaping bubble in the LL cart is it like oil production? Meaning when left on will it just produce vape from bubble like the EO cart does with oil?

I think you'll be disappointed I believe the cera side safety toggle will. Not be a on/off switch, I believe that the pin will be used to facilitate other brand batteries due to the botten top of the 18650 battery, other are flat so the pin is removed or added to make a power contact for the cera to run with different brands of batteries, I suppos you could pull the in and out to shut it off? I was told it was also a travel safety switch , I guess if the right batteries are in the cera you would just ull the pi n and there's no way power can be used and heat up the nit wit out knowing.
Then why not just make it a removable on/ off sliding pin with a partial conductor on it so it can be used as a toggle and also make it removable so other batteries can be used, but as long as the button top batteries are used the on/off function will work but with the flat top the pin has to be removed all together to work then at least you get the best of both safety on/off sliding pin that if removed shuts off total power to the cera (for travel)if other batteries are used that have a flat top then no pin is used at all . Or visa versa how ever that would work depending on the contact mechanism heater core and battery.
This would be the best solution everyone wants a side switch for easy on/off toggling action, make it happen this is what consumers wants make it useable and removable and function easy pin switch that can be removed for travel to totally shut it down.
Also using the pin to facilitate other brands of batteries with no button top. Make it happen.
This is what the people want it keeps. Resonating here consumers want that side on/off switch

No, being convection it tends to stall out very quickly when you stop pulling. Much like herb.

    Great, thank you.

I have never had much luck using bubble on its own with out a ton of waste and mess, it will be nice to have a device that makes this convenient. It sounds like bubble and Cera will make for a nice party piece for multiple users, I am tired of being the guy off in the dark corner with a needle and a spoon, sorry Stones song stuck in my head, I mean a torch and a nail (still get the same looks from some as if it was a needle and a spoon).

I am certain I will give the LL cart a flower work out as well but I have to admit I have never said wow to the flavor of vaped flowers yet I have been wowed by flower combusted thousands of times. Again I apologize, such nasty words like combustion are best reserved for whispers and late night conversations around a camp fire reflecting on the good old days.
