experience with volcano oil, Sublimate oil, and solo oil. The sublimate oil is the best in terms of flavor, yield, and potency. Volcano oil is not too far off in taste and potency. The solo oil really hits me in the eyes. Here is a pic of some clean solvent free volcano oil

how do you collect it? from the metal tube in the mouth piece and the bag attachment piece? looks lovely :) a large build up scraped there i think?

That was collected after a week of volcaning. It took at least 14 grams of flower for those one or two hits. I collected the oil from the metal tube in the volcano valve, and the threaded pointy piece that screws into the volcano valve using the tobbaco tool pictured. If you look at the tip of the knife, that is from the pointy threaded piece, where the thin long coating is from the metal valve tube. The pic doesn't do it justice.

Time for some sub rips.

Sub oil is different. It has such a clean taste that not many concentrates have. And it's even better when you sub the sub oil.....the UFO is great for just oil hits. I can take massive dabs with ease and it requires less heating, I usuall hit a flower bowl or 2 then hit a couple dabs and I'm done. I've accumulated about a gram of sub oil so far. It builds up so fast it's hard to keep up sometimes. Love my sublimator.

I really enjoyed reading everyone's posts regarding the Reclaim Oil. I have requested Enrico to provide more information as well so please bear with me in the meantime.

I'd just like to ask, how many people have been burned by the Sublimator/How often is this occurring?
Thanks for any information you guys can provide me.

I hope our Canadian members had a Happy Thanksgiving, as you all know I will be at Champs in Colorado next week so again if I am a bit slower at responding I apologize in advance.

Thanks again.

I've been burned a couple of times. I'm afraid how often it occurs depends on how adaptable a mammal you are...I may be one of the slower ones, as I stopped burning myself after a week or two.

I have still yet to burn myself on the Sublimator. I assume my sublimators love me too much to hurt me lol. It has nicked Daryl Brown really hard on his ring finger (Blistered), but he always gets burned by the Sublimator.

I just have to say I thoroughly enjoyed how you phrased that "how adaptable of a mammal you are" Thanks for the feedback and I hope you were not seriously injured - Or anyone else for that matter. Safety is a major concern and I'd like to try and address it moving forward.

I don't know how you could address it other than covering the unit's hot parts. You can put arrows in the manual, even put stickers on the unit, but in the end it just comes down to not touching it. We know where it is hot, but weed just has a way of making you more vulnerable and less attentive.

I wouldn't worry about it much here, we beat that horse to death about 120 pages ago!

That's what I mean though, if it clearly is enough of an issue where the majority of people are burning themselves then to me, that's worth investing time into, whether it be engineering some sort of heat shield, gloves or something along those lines.

I totally agree with you that ultimately it does come down to the user, but like you said when you're mind is in that altered state you can become a bit more careless.

The reason why I ask you guys simply is because this is the one place where I can get mass data efficiently. If people would rather private message me about their burn issues so as not to flood the thread again that's fine too!

Thanks.

I found that I stopped burning myself, once I set my sub up in a safe place. Prior to that, it was sharing a cluttered desk, and that made it easier to slip or do something stupid.

That being said, I have stopped sharing with most friends, as the risk of someone getting goofy and knocking it over, was getting too high.

Usually, the only thing I let friends and newcomers touch would only be the mouth piece. I was demonstrating my unit @ an open mic. I gave clear instructions not to touch anything except the mouth piece. As I was serving the dab, he started trying to yank out THE WHOLE RECLAIM PIECE instead of the carb. It literally scared the crap out of me, so i quickly secured the piece with my hand to the bong while it was intact, trying to counteract his force and mistake to try and pull out my piece. I'm not worried about the recycler, but more worried to see my One-of-a-Kind piece to be smashed. I also dislike how one of my close friends picks up my recycler with my reclaim piece when i Deliberately asked him not to lift it off the table. It's not fun seeing anything fragile suspended up 4 and a half foot up in the air, especially when you cannot recreate the same glass piece and memories tied to it.

Ironically, he also said, "Worrying is a misuse." I try to make every situation "Not to worry" by looking after it myself, but when i let my guard down, there's always one thing my friends will do unintentionally, which is making myself worry.

Remember, We are all captains of our own spaceships (Sublimators). We gotta navigate and manage the flight for a safe trip until the end! We're in control, so lets make it a safe journey for our guests, family, friends, and especially Ourselves.

Ive been okay so far, surprisingly... I actually forgot the atomizer gets hot and touched it for a split second, but i dont think that counted...

Even in the altered state i respect the sub and move very slowly and carefully with it.

I think the safety trick is to ALWAYS hold your apollo / nail handle while taking a hit. This keeps things stable and assures nothing falls or gets out of place while subbing

First off... Friends?

Secondly: Did your "friends" get clumsier all of the sudden, or did your judgement suddenly improve?

:peace:

Nah, my "friends" of which I have only a few (you are correct in your suspicions) are always goofballs like any good friends, after a few puffs or a drink or two. Usually I set it up on my bar and operate it, but that gets to be a pain in the ass. The last time, one of my buddies decided it would be a good idea to yank at the whip...I decided then that was it.

They can still use my other vapes, but this one is off limits unless I feel like "budtending"

Did half a dozen double deckers followed by a bubble rip. Laid down and 15 minutes later felt like I couldn't breathe. Almost got the fear. Super stoned. Slept for about 6 hours. Talk about medicated. Love my sublimator.

On another note, I know a few of you have shown me your Sub setups, which we love. Anyone else have a cool setup they want us to feature?
