Could you guys share a little detail about packing and clearing the bowl?
I just woke up a bit ago, still need my coffee! But it was quite simple, just do a quarter turn to open, then add the load, screw back on, and drop it in. Stu and I tried a few different packs with a unit we had off to the side, from lighter-packed ~.1g to a relatively tight load (not sure how it compares to the ascent pack needed?) which came out of the bowl cashed as a dark brown puck.

Thank you Herbalizer Team, and the FC community! Last night was epic! Sickest vapor sesh I have ever attended!

Here's a quick impression of the unit;

Build - Smaller than expected. I love the 'all in one' style they have going where your whip and stash box are inside your unit. The vaporizer was lightweight and easily setup, just one plug. They were saying these were painted not the final finish, which will end up being either a Silver Gloss or Matte. The mouthpiece for the bags were pretty cool too! Such a simple design to work soo well.(Some of us were suggesting a digital/alarm clock on the outside of the machine haha)

Vapor- This thing is a flavor savor, and still gives you nice clouds. My preferred way by the end of the night was the bag. The device heated as fast as expected and vapor just started to pour out. With the ABV being nothing more than brown. -- I wish Stu had brought his GonG adapter because we were having a little trouble getting a perfect air tight seal on the bongs. Like others are saying, you definitely just need a light pack, over stuffing will not allow the vape to work. Just grind up some bud, take maybe two pinches and sprinkle into the chamber. Guaranteed clouds!:science:

Im not sure what else... bomb vape, awesome meetup, can't wait to do something like that again!
Thanks Herbie team and So Cal FC'rs

Yeah, not sure if there's an awful lot to add, honestly. SliM, Stu, Vito, and the others that had a chance to try it before us have already talked it up.

The build quality was nice! It has the right amount of heft to it, I think, and doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. I think a few times we bumped the lid, once or twice a little harder than closing it normally would be. It turned off, and then we were back to working 100% in 10 seconds. Like stated, we saw the Herbalizers with the painted lids, which even then looked nice and had a quality gloss to them.

The taste of the vapor was fantastic! In one of the pics, you'll see we had it set up with the whip, fan assist, and at 445f! It was surprisingly smooth even at that temperature and with the fan and direct draw. Vapor production was on point, huge tasty hits, and lots of them! The first thing we did was get some balloons blown to pass around. The taste was excellent at the lower temperatures, and stayed consistent through the gradual (and not-so-gradual) bumps up in temperature. The valve for the bag doesn't require a lot of squeezing, it was easy enough on my hands to not bother me. Surprisingly, even with flower and oil, the rips were smooth enough to do dry. There was a point where only Buildozer and I were passing the whip back and forth  everyone else was crowded around the table with the other two units and all the glass and cool stuff. We did manage to hook it up to the Sov and Mobius somewhat, and the hit quality was as good as I thought it would be.

Loads of things were vaped, coffee, green tea, peppermint, a piece of cookie, crushed pepper (haha oh god)... I really liked the Vick's pad, super strong menthol but it stung something pretty when the vapor got in my eyes

It was great getting together with you all! I was hoping a few more faces were going to show up, but we had a nice group going. The Herbalizer team has a bit of time left before they get this one out the door and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited to see what comes next... or even just when the next Herbalizer get-together is going to be! I don't want to say it's the be-all-end-all vaporizer, but I think it would be hard to get another desktop if/when I get the Herbalizer. Portables, sure, but this one's got what I want. Hell, I think my mom would steal it from me just for the aromatherapy half of it! And it looks sleek enough to pass off as "not-just-a-vaporizer" when closed. Vape your load, add a few drops of essential oil on the pad, set it to aromatherapy, close, and forget. Good job, guys, and good luck with the release

The particulate on the whip is on the outside of it, not inside the whip. It's from the stuff on the table.

Well, last night was a good night. as you all know by now we got to sit down and try the Herbalizer. It's one cool ass unit! my first impression was that it was smaller than i thought it was, i was picturing a monster unit.
The device preforms best with a pinch of ground herb, vs. an overpacked bowl. The vapor absolutely rocks, producing thick huge bags at the push of a button, and it's so smooth, i was impressed. (I also do not remember hearing the bag crinkle like w/ the Eq). The valve on the bag is nice and easy to use, maybe too easy if there is such a beast haha jk. Packing/unpacking was a breeze just grab the bowl off the unit, twist a little bit and whallahh. you now have two pieces of bowl, and can easily dump out the abv and repack. As you can probably infer by now, i like the bags over the whip.
If you have any other questions about the herbie feel free to ask me(:

Also, we had a mini Southern Ca meetup! It was really cool to meet everyone, now when i look at your avatars I'm like wait a second thats now what he looks like. haha

So does everyone that has used it think it is worth the price tag? I do like the precise temp control and the fast heat up times, but does the vapor seem smoother? What, if anything really stood out about the machine? Has there been any update on how long the warranty is? Sorry for all the questions, just really curious about it. (Edit-right when I posted this 2 reviews popped up, thanks guys!)

@NinjaMindTriks This is a hard subject for me, I see it as out competing the Volcano, which is about $600 so in that aspect it is worth it, I personally think that $700 is a bit much for me to be able to fork out, but i don't have a full time job or lots of money. It has really smooth vapor, I think the bag feature stood out the most on this unit, i would get one just so i could fill up bags all damn day!
Edit: i didn't ask about the warranty.

EDit x2. I did ask where the production units are being made, its in Pasadena Ca, being in the states I think they will have a much better QC than some other recent vapes have had. I also think this justifying the asking price.

Honestly? I'd like to see it be a bit more affordable. There's a few units on the market with higher price tags (I'm looking at you, Sublimator and Enail [whenever the Enail is back on the market...]), but I'd say if you're looking at something in that price range, or looking at the Volcano, the Herbalizer beats it up. We were varying the temperatures from lowest to highest, highest to lowest, and it didn't take more than, say, 10 seconds to cool down from such extremes. From what I understand, the heating element on the Volcano is a block, so the thermal mass of it would have to cool down first. The Herbalizer cools down a lot faster. I actually really enjoyed the bags as well, I couldn't count how many we blew but it had to be at least around 20-30? If you get a chance to use it, get on it. You'll see what we mean. Stu, Buildozer, and I went whip-only with the fan assist turned on for a nicely-packed load with a dab on top of it, and it was really smooth. For not using water, the irritation was minimal.

Like I said, if I ended up with one, it would be hard for me to get another desktop. Like thesoloman said, the bags were really nice. No loud noises when filling up, the unit was really quiet, and it just preformed really really well all-around. If/when I win the lottery, this is really high up on the list of things to get first. Yeah, I want one.

My friend Ian who I brought definitely wants to buy one even at the price tag. Although he wants to split the cost with me and share it haha.

The smoothness was definitely excellent. I coughed a few times on the whip. I was taking massive clouds with the bag however and felt nothing on the exhale. It felt smoother than my vapexhale cloud but I have a old dirty refurb.
Fresh VXC + Fresh ELB VS. Fresh Herbie + Fresh bowl
Verdict: Both allow large clouds from reasonably small loads that taste great and have no irritation
The herbie is insanely easier/safer to share in a group. My VXC seemed to do giant high-temp rips better. (Note: The units we were using may have been running cooler than when previous testers like SliM tried it out. Regardless, I got big clouds with light brown vaped bud and a stellar, long-lasting effect)

Has there been any update on how long the warranty is? Sorry for all the questions, just really curious about it. (Edit-right when I posted this 2 reviews popped up, thanks guys!)
I think I heard the warranty was still @ 2yrs. The herbie team seems genuinely concerned about user satisfaction so I would be very surprised if there wasn't some sort of reasonable way to fix a out-of-warranty herbie. Maybe it depends how easy the halogen bulb heating element is to break.

To add on to that last part,
If the herbie team did some sort of drop testing videos to show how protected the bulb is from breaking, that would be big plus.

What, if anything really stood out about the machine?
I liked the herbalizer bowl more than the vapexhale cloud bowl. Or the volcano loading chamber.
They both can get searing hot at max temp though.

Final thoughts:
I was planning on asking a lot more questions than I did, but I'll be emailing my thoughts to Josh & the Herbie Team. Yesterday was really nice and I almost didn't go. Kind of got dumped about 4hrs before the event so it was a welcome distraction!

I'd like to see that whip attached to the bottom of a small hydrotube, sucking out of it would look like talking into a microphone. I wonder how the forced air wold be with an application like that?

Both the Mobius and Sov perc'd by themselves when we attached the whip and turned on the fan. The fan seems to really reduce the amount of pulling you have to do on the unit which seems to have the effect of fatiguing you a lot less when you're pulling on it. It was easy for me to just breathe instead of pull on the vapor for it to come out of the whip. We didn't have any small glass pieces to test it out with, though, so I'm not positive on how it would perc what with the smaller surface area of the hydrotubes like the Pinnacle's and the Nibbler.

Here's one of the final bowls of the evening. I think I tapped out after we hit this bowl that was topped with some oil (no pad used). :ko:

Apparently people think it's funny that I like to cough and talk at the same time.

I had a great time meeting everyone last night. That was epic. Special thanks to Josh, Bob and Sheila for putting up with us and our antics.

P.S. I apologize again for not bringing the WPA/whip that I promised.

I live just a few miles away from Pasadena. Pretty cool to know that Dragon Capsule for NASA was built here too. Guess NASA got some pretty cool engineers working on all kind of projects. I cant wait to get myself one of this. The Volcano is definitely inferior in design and quality compared to the Herbalizer. A stash compartment is always a plus especially if it's hidden on the unit as well. Still the price at 725 is too high for some. If you got it, then blow it I guess.

I probably would wait until it starts to trickle down into eBay or buy it secondhand to pay under the sticker price on it.

Wondering how does it work with the whip and without the assisted air?

Whip was fine without the air. I know stu was all about just using the lungs.

For me, the fan took off a lot of pressure from my jaw muscles. Awesome feature for those suffering from something like TMJ, but it didn't require the fan to extract better with whip.

Will someone please explain the practical details of using the fan assist and the whip without spewing vapor all over the room? Let's assume only one person is using it.
