Man, Im disappointed with the price...but I cant really complain, i paid almost that much for a volcano back in the day and this seems to be on a whole different level.

If i was in the market for a desktop vape I would jump on this immediatly especially with the $75 inital Fc discount. But at the moment I just cant justify it. Heres to hoping my vivape craps out on me again?!?

The fans only spin when you tell them to. I don't know what some other vape makers were thinking requiring an always on fan in a whip vape.

I think it was something along the lines of:

"Hey, if we leave the fan on, we don't need to worry about designing a cooling system! They won't even notice the difference! Actually, why don't we call it a feature?"

I too am a little surprised by the prices. I hope they don't price themselves out of the market, even with all the amazing features and bells and whistles, that's a pretty high price tag.

yeah this thing does look pretty damn impressive but unfortunately I was hoping for a better price point as well.. not saying it's overpriced in general just overpriced for me to buy in to it. Hope it does well but I don't want to see high end vapes exceeding the 500 price point even. The accelerometer and light sensor are all cool bells and whistles but nothing I would invest extra money in. This and the Sublimator both look awesome but I don't think either will be in my arsenal any time soon

imho, when you are a company that defines the market, you can not be accused of pricing yourself out of that market. like, i really, really want a Tesla ... but as long as all i can do is pay debt service, i will never save enough nickels and quarters from my pocket change to buy one. so, if someone wants a vape that measures their mood and delivers custom taylored vapor, they better be prepared to pay for it, or they better just roll a j, jam it into a ziti, and flick that Bic.

Where are the $1000 vapes? That's what i'm waiting for.

Thats what I like to hear!

Tell them ill provide support, but ill need a free herbie to become familiar with the product :science: lol
If anyone is in the San Diego area I'm sure that a test-drive night could be arranged. :)

I wonder how much it will cost for replacement bags/whips? Around how many uses is each bag good for?
Not sure on the cost. It does come with five bags/valves according to the video. How long they are "good" for is a personal preference thing. Silicone tubing is pretty easy and cheap to come by, as are turkey bags which from what I remember shouldn't be very hard to hook up to the valves.

Unfortunately I live in the UK, having a transformer to power the thing, paying the custom charges and the thought of nightmares in regards to returns if it breaks really forces me out of the market on this one.
I can empathize with you here. I think the reason they're delaying international shipping is related to your own concerns. It's a lot harder to work out potential issues with a new-to-market product when overseas/cross-border shipping is involved. It's frustrating for folks outside North America and maybe they'll reconsider this, but I do understand the position.

Regarding the posts on pricing. Yes, this is an expensive vaporizer. Is it overpriced for what it delivers? Absolutely not, in my opinion. If anything I'd say it's underpriced relative to other vaporizers. Go back and read this whole thread if you haven't. This isn't just another slapped together dual mode vape with pretend digital temperature control. What the Herbalizer is bringing to the market hasn't been done before. Once some experienced vaporists try this, I'm pretty confident that they'll agree.

Again, if anyone is in the San Diego area, let's set up a test-drive night.

Sorry for the questions that I didn't address. I'm not sure on some things and I don't want to give out misinformation.

not what i'm looking for or willing to pay that much for ... you know what i want -- computer temp control, all glass (really, ALL glass), battery powered so it's portable, safe, small, comes with a case, five year warranty with free shipping, yada yada.

Ok, so I have a concern and it's not related to the vapor aspect of the device. (well not the vapor we are all interested in anyways) the herbal aroma feature... look closely at that top when the unit is opened up. the screen in there sits between 2 posts right under the vent where the smell is supposed to come out right?

why on earth is that section not sealed off from the rest of that hidden compartment? I don't want the aroma floating around in there before it escapes the unit... I would want it to vent directly out of the unit instead.

think about it. if the essential oil is being blown off that pad and out into the air, it will also gradually coat the entire inside of that hidden compartment. that's some unnecessary cleaning I will have to be doing if I plan to use this feature of the device.

Here is my suggestion solution: [image removed at manufacturer's request]

Imagine the red part i added is a panel that isolates this part of the unit from the rest of the hidden compartment.

I feel i should email this to them directly even so they could implement it before they make the final version.

unless I am wrong and don't see what they have thought of to prevent this already... lets see!

Josh's Dad, I'd love to hear you chime in on this one please! :)

The hidden compartment is already blocked off. The bowl area doesn't seem to be totally blocked, but maybe it's like that for airflow purposes? Here's a screenshot taken from the demo video that gives a better view of the area.

They already bought the molds, so I doubt there will be a change ;) That being said, I don't really see the issue...the lid is designed so that you can close it and still enjoy aromatherapy through the top vent. Also, as Marduk's photo shows, it is fairly isolated from everything else by the looks of it...

One thing I really see this unit being used for is in "choice driven" care or rehab facilities. My niece is a CNA working at one right now and she has to wheel the patients out back if they want to smoke their cannabis. I can totally see one of these on a nightstand in there . . . and with the form factor, perfect for the elderly and infirm.

that does show it better, and it's much less "open" in there than I originally thought. thank you for showing me this :)

that said, it's still gonna get on the bowl piece there... possibly even back down in where the bulb is below the herb chamber?

It would have been nicer to see that part isolated as well imo. a double lining isolating each individual chamber (2)

I remember seeing that they did make those metal molds, so i agree a change would probably not be worth doing for them. :(

maybe your right and it has to do with the way the air is flowing. is it coming from under the pad or is it coming from the main part itself? this would prevent any backflow issue if it's like that. :)

One of the things I've hated most about vaporizers in general, are their looks...most vapes I've owned look kind of silly to anyone but a vape enthusiast or gadget junky. This unit has style, and I would imagine that it would be intriguing to most people.

I know that's my own opinion and not applied to all vapes...but it is nice seeing manufacturers attempting to create a device that looks a natural part of the environment, as opposed to oddity.

I agree with you there tweek! this is one classy looking unit!would prefer a black top though because it would match all my other electrical devices in the house. but then i guess it loses a bit of it's "i'm just an ordinary air freshener... nothing to see here" look.

One thing I would like to see is the ability to turn the unit on manually so the lid with the hidden compartment could be removed and stored separately. If you don't have a need for stealth, and won't be using the aromatherapy much, the lid becomes just an extra thing that takes up more space and comes between you and your vapor when you're ready to vape. I've already signed up and will be getting one regardless, but still...

Also, if a manual start was implemented and you could disable the accelerometer tip over safety feature, I think it would be really cool to get a bracket and mount the unit on a wall. The magnetic self-enclosed bowl with the whip would work just fine in a setup like that. And I agree with t-dub that this vape would work well in a medical environment. The front panel would blend right in, especially if mounted on a wall or an IV stand.

It absolutely would blend right in, wall mount, fantastic thought @marduk . . .
