AAAnd finally the oil, havent weighed it yet but its damn good. The dish im using is the top to a jar so thats why the oil looks so tiny. Thats 1 run gonna do 2 more today

I cant really put my finger on the taste but its really strong and unlike other strains i've smelled. The oil tastes just like it sooo delicious.

I love green crack. A great strain all around, would love to try some oil of it. Id make some but its been a bit since I have seen any green crack that was good. Maybe soon... Thanks for taking those pics... Im sure it wasnt too easy with a webcam

Took a few trys to get those pics lol. Anyways, did another run of Green Crack and it made oil a nice bit lighter than the last batch, and just as much too. Did a run of the two previous runs stuffed in together and got some dark, but still ok, oil.

Interesting. I never seem to get lighter oil a second run. The first run usually gives me the best looking oil. I was doing 2 runs only, but I think Im going to do three now.

This is my process when making oil with 3.5g of material.
1. Break nugs down to small pieces and shove in to extractor
2. Extract #1 (.35-.6g)
3. Grind nugs and shove in extractor
4. Extract #2 (.1-.4)
5. Reposition ground material and do run 3.
6. Extract #3 (No test yet)

Well see where I get on run 3.

Also im really interested in getting a vacuum purger. Anyone recommend any? I was thinking the Mightyvac hand pump?

Anything after one run is garbage, mostly consisting of non-psychoactive plant oils, and will taste like shit. It's truly not worth the cost of butane your using (hopefully you are using vector or something minimally filtered 5x) let alone your time. It will always be darker than the first run, and if you mix it with your first run you are tainting it. Seriously.

When I'm done extracting my tube, the bud looks and smells like it had not even been touched. Sparkly and all intact. (In fact I'm certain now that I've been ripped off when I was younger a few times buying someones ABE (already been extracted) bud. ) For this reason I've tested second runs multiple times with the very best bud to confirm it, and yielded like .3 g of crap.

3. Grind nugs

remove this step. It produces darker oil with more non-thc oils and only about .1 g more. The butane get's all the thc out without grinding.

Just keep the second run oil separate and try vaping it next to the first run oil. You'll be storing that second run oil for a dry day like we used to store resin as kids. When I was testing it I stashed some that I did use to cook with but it was so nasty that it just made the stuff taste bad.

If i were to slide a hakko where the knob is (if I could get it off), and use a syringe with a needle to drop oil from the top... would that be legit?

it'd be like lowes/home depot.

i don't think it would work the way you want it to. unless your dabs are so small that they instantly vaporize on contact. otherwise you will waste a lot when it simply drips off of your hakko. i saw a vid once of a guy dipping his hakko into a dish of oil - didn't seem very efficient to me (too much waste). i think the dome or curve is the way to go. however, vapebong straws which are made of glass, hook directly to your waterpipe, and are close to the same price as that piece you talked about, are just as good as a dome or curve.

you are definitely wrong about oil dripping off hakkos. i would not buy that thing i posted before unless you control the temperature of the hakko. don't listen to me.

i don't even know where my oil went.
