i am currently purging a micro run of some grape god (grapefruit x god bud), only ran a gram and heif so probably won't yield much, but boy is the smell tantalizing

For the record I used 8g and ended up getting just about a g so 12.5% return. Not bad for a first run if I must say. I plan on crushing and running the leftovers tomorrow when the rest of my butane shows up.

I use a small erl dish and just let it sit on a coffee mug warmer plate (cld always just put it on a coffee maker heater base and keep an eye on it), then when it starts to liquify.... pop it in your vac vessel and pump to -28 and let her do her thang.
No need to overheat more than necessary in an oven, unless you plan on making an edible with it.

haha sorry to cast it in a negative light. but it's fitting. my one buddy has very little interest in buds anymore since i showed him bho and the omicron. (he now owns an extractor and an omi! )
for your 2nd run i tend to completely bust up my nuggs. people warned me that my oil would go green, but i have never had this happen yet. 2nd was is not as good as 1st of course, but it's still definitely worth the butane imo. 2nd was for me looks more like peanut butter or hard corn syrup.
@ stroh 20%? wow man nice one on the first wash alone? how big is your tube you do runs though? is it almost all cotton in there?

The way the Honey Bee is set up you fill it from the end that drains. If I packed it it would have to be packed up against the top where I shoot the tane through. I just put my herb in, capped it, and tapped the side so it all settled in. I did not "push" pack it in. Next time I'll do 10g's and pack it with my finger a bit.
Im def happy with getting 12+% for my first time
My new scale weighs to .01 .....what is the appropriate weight for a normal dab?

I plan on only doing dabs on special occasions and Sundays (football day
) This g will prob last me into December. Tolerance will be in check 
I pay to much in this fucking non-mmj state to be dabbing all day. I def want to keep it a "special occasion" type thang
I'm planning on taking 5g's out of each zip I buy (about once a month or so) and doing a 10g run every 2 months

my extraction tube is pretty small, fits maybe 14 gs total, though i usually do smaller runs. i haven't used cotton balls since my second run, i realized that they were bleached. dont pack looser, pack as tight as possible!

I've been loving my eclipse h2o as well JD, that skillet is looking pretty badass though stroh! I got some real nice glass pieces maybe one of these days i'll splurge.

i love doing dabs with my curve over my eclipse. (I have the pipe version, cleaning vials is a pain in the ass though.)

Yea I've found the vials are kind of annoying to clean but an overnight iso soak and a q-tip scraped off most of the residue off. I actually just recently got 50 vials off ebay for 20.00 with free first class shipping. Split them with my friend who has an eclipse, we both got 25 vials for 10 dollars. Pretty nice deal!

that is a good deal at the place i bought my bong they sold me 2 "bakers dozen" for 10 bucks. 13 tall 13 small. i also bought a bong though so they hooked me up too.
im going to be doing a run on a batch of mighty mite i just picked up! 1 oz for 100 bucks! outdoor shipped in from BC! it's not the the "a" grade looking stuff that i pay 2x more for... but for oil purposes? yes please! i have been vaping it too and it tastes fresh and pine like. some of the hairs on the buds are purple/pink!

when i do small runs the rest of my tube is unpacked, which is why i expect smaller yields. i use a bamboo skewer to pack down the buds through the 'tane entry hole to get them as tight as possible before blasting. also i actually think i might be getting a toro macro and a cool dome instead of that piece, the only thing that bugs me is i think i might need to get a custom curve made if i were to go that route since the macro is a direct inject male 14mm

When I first started I just used a clean metal paperclip. Make sure its the kind that doesnt have plastic. Then I got a metal tool from ace hardware to dab with and now use the glass dripsticks from ALT.
