I keep looking at their new square design and the more I hate it.

I was talking to a guy today at our single LHS and he was saying you can still get the rounded top, but you pretty much have to know someone and you have to pay a premium. They're WELL AWARE of the demand for them. I'm not too fond of that, especially when they know its a much preferred design.

The dude is legit. He had a Mobius, I haven't ever seen. He's got a frosted 65T, with custom graphics. Showed me some pics of it and a video of him using it. Thing is wild. He's also got a proto Mobius with a Matrix perc from before they were in shops/online.

I haven't seen any in stock there in a long time- usually not even listed. And there is no Ion Clear. It's Ion or Clear. This pic is the Ion. The base makes it easy to tell. Kultureva is a good retailer, but I think they've got this labeled wrong.

Well that's kinda fucked. Oh well, market demand, I guess.

Ok, I know what I'm about to say is blasphemous, but fuck it. Here goes.

I had my mind set on someday getting an Ion Matrix, but in all honesty, I can't fathom how it could be any better than the new SC tube that I won in that contest. I know, the Matrix should be better, but the SC tube is sooooo smooth with no drag, that I can't fathom that anything could be an improvement. I mean, I can take HUGE hits that produce HUGE clouds without a hint of harshness or a hint of wanting to cough, while still preserving the taste. (I know, a very "shilly" statement, eh?)

But yeah, I know that owning a nice glass piece is much more than the performance of that piece, for it's also a work of art.

The domed Ion is fucking gorgeously sexy and just that is almost worth the price of admission.

    SC tube???

Yesterday I just received a used Clear Bubbler Reti. I have a used Ion Matrix on the way.

I had to do PBW work on some resin stains along with a vinegar rinse, but now the Bubbler is as sparkling crystal clear as new.

And both have the dome.

lwien...you'll just have to pony up and get one to do a side by side comaprison!

But I get you...once I got my Ion I no longer wanted anything else. If the SC got you there, then even better.

Lol. Don't sweat it, lwien. The Mobius pressure is great, but follow your path, not one someone else laid out for you. Plus, I don't need more competition in the Classifieds.

Broke out the Nano Zero Drag the other day. I forgot how nice it hits. I have that and the SS Hydraline in rotation now. Gotta say the Hydraline kicks my ass and gives me 70's type head rushes. The Nano is much smoother, however :)

How does the Z Drag compare to the Nano Matrix? Ever hit both?

Nope, not the Nano Matrix. But there is a difference between the two that I can ascertain. The Matrix is much more fancy, but the Zero really is smooth. Of course I'm not comparing Nano to Nano, however. Now I need a Pentacle and a Reti!
