it actually measures approx 1 7/8" but i believe it is sold as the 2" model.

the titan is a really nice grinder, but i don't use it often because the section with the pollen screen is a giant magnet and i like to use a coin in my grinders. i'm afraid i would chip the magnet with coin, so i don't want magnet particles in my ground herb. if your not going to use a coin, then this would be a nice choice because the anodized coating is the nicest i've seen on any grinder.

Where can you get a replacement? ebay? I would be interested in getting this now that you vouch for it since I exclusively now use an electric coffee grinder only for my Cloud, but this is a bit smaller and more practical.

I'm looking into something that fits into my vatra double decker better than my gigantic 4 piece, at the moment I can't squeeze my t1 charger in with everything. I really don't wanna have to bang the thing out in my hand to put product in my vape, so a tiny 3 piece (2.5 inches tall) is what I need. Can anyone recommend me one?

I recommend you pre-grind, I hate grinding on the go. An air-tight container will keep your herbs fresher than any storage grinder. Carry a small 2 piece for "just in case" if you feel it's necessary. Just my

and on the area of an airtight container, photo cannisters are great. when I had my own harvest I also frequently used them to carry it, the buds stayed nice uncompressed in it, and it's small. and you can fit a nice amount in it(even when it's not grinded)
I think everyone must have some photo cannisters laying around somewhere, and else you can often get them for free at photostores

What's a photo canister? Are they the containers that hold SD and Compact Flash cards?

Way back when, photofilm used to come packed in an airtight container.



They were and still are very useful. You can still get them on ebay, but it's not the same having to buy them.

edit: ahhh a winky face has appeared! Maybe I'm not yet that old!

Tried looking for these around the house unsuccessfully lol Pretty hard to find, but I haven't tried a camera store and can't find them on eBay.

Yeah they are useful, I've seen festivals recommending them for putting your cigarette ends in them (keep the place tidy) because apparently they are somewhat smell-proof (I've not tested the theory). Still if that's true it makes for great bud storage.

Wow, I feel old too! These seemed to be the go to container when I was younger, and I even used them myself!

I was overflowing with film canisters when I was in Photography department at College. We were one of the last groups who used real film and digital cameras. Now all the students use digital. It makes me so sad. I can't listen to kodachrome by Paul Simon. It went from being a song that made me totally happy... to totally bummed.

So, is there anything I should be worried about using ISO to clean my acrylic Storz and Bickel Grinder?

It's getting pretty gummed up, so I was gonna use a dental tool pick thingy to scrape off some of the bigger bits of stuff (essentially compressed/congealed keif), then a quick ISO rinse, and repeat until clean.

I figure the ISO should be fine, but since I'm planning on adding it to my reclaim ISO, I want to be sure.

Stop! Don't! lol I did that and it stained the orange a whitish colour. Iso is fine for aluminum grinders but for acrylic i'd either use hot soapy water and/or throw in dishwasher, or you can get an acrylic cleaner from Puff it Up. I'd also be careful with the pick, i used just a wooden toothpick for it and it scratches the acrylic pretty good.

I used to love the S&B herb mill, but now I think it sucks. The durability is crap (mine even like has stress fractures in it), and i'm not stoked on scratched plastic. This is my third one and it's going in the trash. I find it grinds dry material great, but if it's not completely dry I find it nearly impossible to grind up properly.

I just use a coffee grinder now and I love it since it's so effortless and the grind is so nicely uniform. Have the Puff it up 4 piece CNC in the mail, hopefully it works as good as they say!\

Anyone use the PIU 4 piece? I think the 2.25" size is perfect (I find 2.5" just slightly too big, and 2" just slightly too small....2.25 is the sweet spot for me)

Still interested in that Electric Green grinder on eBay but not sure it's worth the money just for a green coffee grinder lol

Well i'm very happy nowadays with my DSLR and the capacity of it's memorycard,but i'm also plenty old enough to remember the photofilm-canisters of course.
Hell i even remember not having cellphones around,if you can imagine that...(no really,can you...? ).

for posting about these.
For these prices i thought why not,so i ordered three and i'd get the one for free(Dutch instincts kicking in there i'm afraid ).
After receiving them fairly quickly,i tried them out today and after some initial failures and vile utterings from my side,eventually got them all to work.
The problem was the battery-contactpoints inside it are both made with springs,that are just big enough to not make (good) contact with the male/plus-end of the battery.
That makes for a bad or no connection with batteries,where the rim of the batteries are covered in plastic,like all of my rechargables were as it turned out.
After removing just a little bit of plasticcovering on the plusside,it thankfully suddenly did whirr into to life!
As they then all did,one of them did have a loose plastic cup,but some strong glue should fix that easily enough. And the expectations for aprox. GBP 2.25(minus shipping) per grinder weren't exactly high to begin with,so all in all,a good deal i think.
And yes i do like it also btw,it does the job well and quick and as i already admitted i am ancient, why not join the seniorcrowd with some convenience 'luxury'-gadgets.
If they don't last me that long i'll probably be shoppping for a better qualitative replacement pretty quickly i can already foresee.

I'm glad you like the grinders Havelock. I guess I had the good fortune to get a winner which worked trouble free so long before the motor finally died. It's a pretty awesome little gadget and makes short work of most anything I could throw at it. I was running mine off of high quality NIMH rechargeablesand and got good power and battery life.

I'm back to using my large, 2 piece Spacecase (thanks Captainhits and www.gratefulbuys.com) which is a fantastic grinder and rivals the electric in ease. The grind size is actually adequate for everything but the MFLB and honestly will suffice for that if need be. It's built like a tank and is the only grinder I've ever felt like leaving out for display purposes.

I was talking to Randy about some pretty exciting new conventional grinder designs that I'm excited about, too.

a few weeks or months ago, I went with a friend to a photoshop/camerastore since he needed some photo cannisters. he asked for it, got some for free and we were on our way again. so you can still get them for free easily, at least around here

IMO They suck.

Think a small,very thin cheese grater and they suck badly IMO as well.
The electric is still going strong here,these i do recommend.

That's awesome, i've been meaning to pick up one or two of those, but my trusty black&decker coffee grinder is my favourite atm. I've completely given up on "non-electric" grinders.
