Hello from America to Switzerland! We hope to have a EU version of the Cloud after our launch in the US.

@capnvape - Maybe you can convert your wife, the Cloud converted my wife, true story.

@IamKrazy2 - This is a design that TAFKAGM has been fooling around with, I am quite happy with it :D

if i may steer towards concentrates for a second; it should be possible, assuming a starting point of a direct injection set-up, to place a dab or whatnot on the unheated nail (the highly educated nails look best for this purpose) and instead of a dome attach a female to female adapter, one with minimal distance between the two joints, preferably less than the one i linked. when the cloud is then placed atop, the nail would sit, ideally, at around the midpoint of the clouds top joint, similar to where the standard bowl sits; im hoping that would yield results.

how does that sound?

hey, i'm from overseas to and cannot wait for this to hit my neck of the woods, followed this thread from the start, very good community here, enjoyed all the reading, in stonemonkey i trust! currently i smoke only pureweed, so look forward to giving that up, my only vape experience has been the original volcano when they first hit the streets, was not impressed with that one bit, throat ripage springs to mind, so was put off vaping until now. sweet smokes everybody.

OK, so StoneMonkey made the offer to us NorCal residents to stop by a dispensary and take the Cloud out for a test drive. I accepted that offer and met him last Thursday.

A few words about myself, so that you better judge my opinions. I am 54. I have been smoking weed for almost 40 years. I had tried a vaporizer a few times but did not feel like I got very well medicated with it. But with a horrendous hacking cough, my wife suggested that I look into vaporizers again, which I did (that's how I stay married).

The search lead me to the Fuck Combustion website and the start of a new way of life. (I only rarely smoke when I meet up with a non-vaporizing buddy, and it tastes so nasty, I dont know how I ever enjoyed it before.)

Anyway, a year and several vaporizers later, my wife now calls the vapor evangelist because I am always telling my smoking friends the advantages of vaping. (My current vapes include: Extreme Q; Silver Surfer; Purple Days; MFLB and the Lotus.)

OK, now on to the demo

I arrived at our scheduled meeting time at the dispensary and purchased a bit of medicine. I went into their vapor lounge when I received a call from StoneMonekey saying hed be a little late. With weed in hand and a variety of vaporizers to choose from, I proceeded to wait and medicate. (Even though I wanted to be completely sober at the start of the demo, I have absolutely no self control in those kind of circumstances. But I took it relatively easy with a couple of light vapor bags from a Volcano.)

After SM arrived and his requisite greetings to all of the staff at the Clinic, we set down to business: testing the Cloud. SM loaded in some Bubba Kush and took a rip and handed me the Cloud. I took an effortless rip and was pretty amazed at the vapor cloud as I exhaled. We shared a few more bowls (SM wanted me to have the first, tasty hit and then he wanted to give the clinic workers a taste, too).

Im not sure how many pulls I took on the Cloud, it might have been 3 or maybe 4 or 5.Im not really sure. But one thing that I am certain, is the Cloud got me more stoned than I have ever felt on vapor. EVER. SM asked me how I liked it and I think I mumbled something until I finally was able to say that I was speechless, but man was I smiling.

The speed that it got me there was amazing. One of my chief complaints since converting to vapor, is that it sometimes takes too long to get medicated. Sometimes I have the time and enjoy the slow emersion into the high, but other times, I just want to get there. (I usually will have 3 wands on the SSV before I am feeling close to medicated.) The speed that I got medicated (super fast), the level of medication (absolutely blitzed) and the ease of use (no learning curve, draw fast or slow), all combine to make this one remarkable device.

@420tom thank you very much, it was a pleasure to meet you as well. I was not aware of your journey from smoker, to trying vaporization, then going back to smoking before finally settling back into being a vapor evangelist/enthusiast. Thank goodness for our better halves telling us what we should be doing. In this case happy wife, happy life, and happy lungs ;)

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE meeting FC members to demo the Cloud. The main reason is the level of vapor knowledge that this forum collectively has. While it is great to demo the VapeXhale Cloud to random folks at the dispensaries, they often lack the experience of using other vapes so they cannot contextualize the performance of the machine.

It is an absolute pleasure to sit down with members that have the experience of using multiple vapes and then to see their eyes light up when they take their first hit of the Cloud. I too, had the same issue as you about vaping just taking way too long. My wife would always get on my case about always being late to social gatherings because I was too busy getting medicated. Most vaporizers, even the high end models, suffer from this problem.

What tends to happen when people want to quickly finish their bowl is that they raise the temperature, often to the point where it is counter productive to the health benefit of vaporization. This is why we took so much time to really improve the extraction efficiency of this vaporizer and why we continue to test and test this unit before launching it.

Im not trying to sound like a saint here, but recently we have had an influx of investors wanting to get a piece of the VapeXhale pie. The additional money would definitely allow our company to grow and prosper at an accelerated pace but we ultimately turned them all away. An investor is predisposed to look for opportunities that will yield the biggest payoff and return on their investment. The first thing most of the investors said was, get rid of the glass, well manufacture these in China, and (y)our margins will go through the roof!

As a business person, I 100% understand that philosophy of investing but the vaporist in me refuses to compromise on performance. Whether this will make VapeXhale prosper or ultimately be our demise, at least I will know that we built a vaporizer with no compromise on performance.

Anyhow, just to bring this conversation back to our meeting, no worries on losing your ability to articulate yourself after multiple hits of the Cloud. Most of these demos start off with a lot of talking, getting to know each other, than after a couple bowls and the medication kicks in, the conversations usually starts to dwindle down. Which reminds me, I need to start using more sativas for these demos, otherwise we just end up glassy eyed, silent, and grinning at each other for another great session. Thanks for taking the time to meet me at Igzactly, if there are any others that want to try this out before our launch, just shoot me an email at stonemonkey@vapexhale.com

That right there sold it for me. I was on the fence about putting my money into the vaporizer and had not pre-ordered because I was unsure of the quality, even with the video demos. For many business-minded people, staring in the face a quick opportunity to turn a large profit on your investment, turning down an offer like that would probably not cross their minds. Though I cannot test the validity of your statement, the fact that you've been so much in contact with the community here at FC and have been willing to go out and demo your unfinished product to whomever requests it (and is local to you) is something I wish more companies or new product developers would do. When I look at buying something of substantial value I try to look for the better product based upon quality, performance, longevity and the companies history/morals. While longevity cannot be proven yet, the quality and performance based upon everyone's reviews seems phenomenal and, from your statement about turning down profit for performance, I can say with confidence that VapeXhale Labs has morals that align with my own and pending their release will recieve my backing (monetarily and loyalty).

Great example of why an unreleased product has 117 pages and 2,913 replies. Hearing that makes the waiting worth it and only intensifies the anticipation, cannot wait for this!

+1 for props to SM for keeping us updated on the continual progress of this next great thing.

I wanna preorder now, but there is a choice of 3 hydratubes. How am I supposed to know the differences between them and which one to buy?

the gridded trees are all spoken for unless a bunch of people decide not to buy it.

the vertigo tree hydratube is longer and less "chuggy" and the joint sticks out
the SGW showerhead which is shorter but has a recesssed joint (sexy)

i think it's pretty safe to say the tree will diffuse a little more than the showerhead, but that means less flavor as well. Also, since the vapor has to travel through 10 trees instead of enter one chamber and exit holes, thats more glass to collect vapor residue (ofc you can always collect that later)

check out youtube videos of both to see the bubble action & decide then

monkey...good decision on not compromising quality for investors. Every time I use the Cloud I think 'Mercedes"...and you don't want to fuck that up! This vape was built to put out the most satisfying vapor hits possible, and it does just that. Stick to that place in the market and I think it will soar!

I'm forever in love with my HT. That thing is pure genius! I don't hit anything anymore without it, and that limits my use to the Cloud base and the PD. I wanted to try one of my other vapes the other day and, when I realized it would be a pain to jerry-rig to the HT I said 'fuck it'. I give my Cloud base a break every now and then, and every time I come back to it I am amazed at the airflow and taste! But I never give the HT a break!

@SS, wow glad to hear your beta is still running strong. It feels like it has been so long since i have had mine, and I am very glad some of the units made before embedding the sensor did continue to work.

@SM and Mods. Might i suggest when we finally get a full production release, we start a new "after beta" thread. i am sure someone could maybe pull some key bits of info and significant posts from this thread and organize it on the first page of the new thread.

Reason? If the beta thread gets hit this hard, can you imagine the amount of activity we're going to see once everyone has had their first cloud experience? It's almost an enlightening experience for some, if you consider it the holy grail of vapes like i do, it is basically life changing. Medicating is revolutionized. Expect to see first time posters writing about their first experience with the VXC in extremely long posts that accompany part of their life stories, and how the VXC really changed it. For medical users with the worst possible pain and symptoms, this will certainly help improve the quality of life for some, even if their life will remain short.

Out to lunch
Another  to the :nope: to investors. The high quality HTs are a big part of the Cloud allure IMO, and many will be buying a 2nd or 3rd tube. For those who already have glass, basic Cloud units will be available later on.

I like the way you think. ;) This is already a done deal. We have no intention of keeping this 100+ page thread active once production Clouds start shipping.

i wonder if it is possible for us to buy a 2nd HT at the time of purchase?

I have been asking this question since 2010. Yes, we can. Still don't think an exact price has been worked out, and it would depend on what type of HT you want, but SM told me previously they do have a good stock of HT's, and we can purchase two at launch. I for one plan I getting two, and adding some extra bowls too. I would love to have 10 bowls out packed and labeled with different varieties and have a tasting party with friends.

Sounds pretty damn good to me :D
Considering the glass air-path (i.e. lack of tubing) and ease of swapping bowls in and out of the unit the Cloud seems like it may fit the bill as a taste-tester's dream. Looking forward to that possibility.

Per usual, good news SM. Glad to hear you're not gonna have anyone (PowerNerd3000 no less!) building these in unsatisfactory working conditions. I wonder, how much of the manufacturing process and/or assembly will be done by hand?

sweet jesus! :) haha ok that is awesome news :) I wonder if they will have more than the famous 3 available to choose from at launch then?

btw thx for the quick reply last time! :)

SM, you guys are doing the right thing here. Thanks for hanging on to your values and not selling out. Crony capitalism and shortsighted decisions putting profit over anything else are what is killing the American dream. Those "investors" you speak of who want to ditch the glass and manufacture in China are actually suicide capitalists who don't care about anything other than getting their own . . . stick to what is real and we will stick with you because we know you care about us as much as we care about you.

If more than 1 HT is available at launch, given the opportunity, I would probably order 2 and can see myself collecting different ones over time. An extra bowl or 2 wouldn't hurt either. I have 3 crucibles for use with my HA now and that seems to be about right for me.

Just reserved one. Hopefully it's out by Christmas as this will be the best self bought present ever!

well i have to say I am pretty excited after reading your review tom!

when i first heard of the cloud back in the spring, i pre ordered and was checking my email daily, sometimes even more than that... and then after about 3 months of this i finally calmed down and realized it's gonna be ready when it's ready and to chill out lol. (vape a bowl :ko: )

reading your review of it's performance has re-ignited my excitement for this product.

also I am really glad to hear that you turned investors down rather than sell out on your principals. kudos to VXL for standing your ground in the face of the all mighty dollar!
