The knob is attached to the potentiometer with super glue. It's really simple, if your knob is loose, then it should pull straight off the bottom of the inhalater, exposing the potentiometer. Turn the knob over and you'll see the little hole that they put the super glue in. Add one or two drops(dont over do it!) super glue into the hole, pop it back onto the inhalater(make sure it's lined up!) and press firmly. Let it sit for 20 minutes and you're good to go.

As for the cap... Taylor is right... push on it from the side and it should pop off with little effort. Pulling it straight off is MUCH more difficult.

so what your basically saying is if I send it back I'll just get another one with the same issue?

He's not saying that at all. He's telling you how you can fix it--or if you like, you can send it back and get another one and be without in the meantime. The new one might have the same issue, but probably not if the posts here are anything to go by.

IDK then what to do. I don't want to send it back to just get a new unit that does the same thing? And I don't feel I should have to mod a $200+ vaporizer. Also won't the glue just loosen again and I'll have to keep doing this?

I don't understand how the super glue affects the turning speed of the dial.

Unless your dial pulls straight off VapeNStone, I think the problem is that the potentiometer itself is turning with the dial. I honestly don't know what could be done to prevent that. However I do know that this is the first time I've ever heard of this so if you send this one back and get one that does the same thing, I'll eat my keyboard in a nice stew.

Why do you persist in saying that another one will do the same thing? It's not a mod, it's a fix, and I don't see why it would continue to fail. He told you that you are simply replicating what the factory does. If you're unhappy about all of this, just return it for refund and look for a different vaporizer.

Yea my dial seems to be on there fine. I can't pull it right off. So I don't think the glue is my issue here

Read above. I don't believe I'm having a glue issue.

If it's the potentiometer itself turning, you can tighten down the nut that holds it in place, however you'll still need to remove that knob. It really should pull straight off without too crazy of an effort, even if the glue is still holding.

To me this is a simple easy fix but I understand if it seems daunting to others. If that is the case, I'd suggest sending it back and getting a replacement. The nut on mine has been plenty tight since day one.

Actually when the knob is on right its on there really damn good. I tried removing mine to get to the battery and no matter how hard I pulled I could not get it off.

its simple. you dont feel you should have to warranty it. you dont want to mod it. That leaves two options: use as is or return it for a refund.

More success with the INH004 last night testing with the WPA. Works very well, for my application my favorite way was just inserting the stock head into the downstem. My downstem has a flat lip and it seals reasonably well. If I put some tape or rubber as a gasket on the flat glass part of the downstem it would seal really well. Gonna try a simple duct tape gasket this evening. I tried the trick someone had shown using an Arizer EQ elbow but I guess that's an 18mm because it doesn't fit mt 14mm. I did remove my downstem and then the 18M elbow snugs in there.

Two things with that though: One the ID of the Arizer tubing is too big and doesn't seal against the INH004. I used one of the sanitary tips as an adapter between the two and that sealed up well and works. It seals better than the option above without the tubes etc. The other issue is it just felt bulky. It was like 8" long with a 90 degreee elbow on the end. Need play some more but in my case I think a duct tape gasket on my down stem and I am good.

Compared to the Solo there is less restriction for sure and so far smaller clouds. This thing produces impressive vapor but not quite at solo thickness. This vape IMO is definetly using more convection than the Solo. It really pre-heats the air much more than a solo. Both are hybrids but the Solo I would say more conduction and this one is definetely less conduction and more convection. Where it sits on the absolute scale who knows.

Key thing is both the Solo and the INH004 produce quality thick and tasty vapor EASILY without a bunch of learning and frustration!!!!!!!!!!!!! The highest compliment I can pay the INZH004 right now is that I have reached for the Solo since it arrived. Not because I dont like my Solo but because it works. With many other vapes I play with it and then break out the solo to get properly medicated. The INH004 is medicating me very well so far....

What do you other concurrent Solo/INH owners think, can the INH deliver equal to or bigger Clouds than the Solo?

An acquaintance with the solo likes the inh004 over anything he's tried before (mflb, solo, tv evo) because of how big hits he got with it. Curing seems to matter a lot though- my two stickier/damper varieties don't give the same hits.

EDIT: it's worth noting that's he's only used my inhalater on three occasions.

Certainly liking mine so far....

Thanks for the help on the Wiki Page.... I was just there to start the editing and see you beat me to it. So I added more from my omicron article template and uploaded some high-res photos of the unit, etc. I just added a bunch of new info and will add more soon....

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
I haven't been out of the house yet so I can't speak to the portability. I might go out today but have 102 so we will see. I usually use my vapes parallel to the floor since I am usually in bed when home. I found that with the inhalater I like to use it upside down. Yea, yea I know that is funny but it works and no material falls out of the capsule since it can't. Warm up takes 45 seconds and then a full 8 minutes of vape. I find that my material is real dark brown when the 8 minutes are over which makes me think do I want to change the capsule part way though. I decided for the moment not to since the taste even at the end is not bad and is still medicating me. I seriously doubt that any of my ABV has anything left in it to cook with but I will try at some point. I have a big mason jar full of ABV.

Loading was a bit messy for me so this is what I have done so far. I ground up stuff in a four piece. Small material is not good since it just falls out of the capsule. I put it in a film container. If you don't know what that is you are way to young lol. I then take my capsule and turn it inside the container and wal-la it is full. This will be great while out since it is real easy to fill. You have to turn it to work. Be careful of the seem in the polimide so you don't break it. By the time I fill it the unit is warmed up. When the time is up I just dump it without having to do more then turning it with the hole side down. Sometimes I just click it with my finger which is enough. I have found the DV brush to be useful and wish I could get them for about fifty cents each what they are really worth. I might go to a makeup store or something like that to get a small brush since it is needed. My biggest issue with the polimide is the static. In my state static is huge and the material sticks to the capsule hence why I need the brush. This is still not easy as the material teases me and moves around ugh.

Heat-I warm up on 5.5 and drop to 4.5 after my first few hits. This really won't help anybody since my theory is the sticker with the numbers are not exact. I used the inhalater without the extra tube the first time and then tried the tube which I like using much better. I will try without it again to see the difference since I have used it a bunch now.

Outside will be the real test and will let you know. I certainly get way cleaner hits with this then the DV.

I know you all like clouds and even with my very small hits the clouds are bigger then the DV and a bit denser. I still need to test the smell again since the first day I had a report that it could be smelled which is not good for me. I was about twenty feet from my son(other side of room) when he reported the smell but that was the first day and he thought it might have been that I was grinding which does smell up my room.

How do you clean your inhalater? Can I use iso on the polimide which the capsule is made out of and there is also a lining on the heating chamber? So far I have just been using the brush. I don't understand the cleaning kit since it just looks like straws. What will they do and where and how do you use them if at all?
I wanted to keep the bottom screen clean so I can travel with the unit but messed that up the first day since the stuff very easily falls out. I do now tamper the end of the capsule a bit to keep the stuff in. For now using it upside down or even level has solved that but when I go out that will be impossible.

This is my favorite vape to date not that I have owned a lot. I don't like desktops because of the heating time and the fact that I have to move which is not an easy task. I have used a few that I have not owned and still this is the cleanest tasting vape to date. No mechanical taste or smell not even on warm up. No material smell on warm up either wow that is great.

I haven't cleaned mine yet?

What smell are you talking about? I ran mine wide open when I got it and it has no out gassing or funky smells. If you mean smell of the Medicine then well yes everything I've tried except pure gold can be smelled if you have a good nose and know what the meds smell like.

Honestly grinding the meds smells more than vaping the meds.... IMO

You will be quite surprised...

I switch between this method and the sucking method depending on the situation I'm in. I find it doesn't really affect the quality of the session either way though, just so long as the damn stuff gets in there.

Wow I didn't think of that at all but I guess in a state where the static is particularly bad it could be a problem. Now you've got me all worried for winter when the static gets really bad up here.

I think that as long as the "OFF" position is correctly placed then it will be exact. I'm surprised you run it that low; does it get you very medicated that way? I usually start on 6 and work up to max. Either way, your ABV is going to have ALOT of actives left in it.

Also, I've found that cutting a tube to the size of the mouthpiece and putting it over the delrin keeps the capsule from getting uncomfortably hot on the lips

I don't understand the cleaning kit since it just looks like straws. What will they do and where and how do you use them if at all?

I didn't understand either untill I'd gunked a capsule up real good. Basically, you push the straw on the edge of the capsule down to the screen, push it into the material you want to clean up. All of it goes right into the middle of the straw and sticks there for you to blow it out. It's tough to explain, but it's sort of like how you fill your capsules

Anyway I am glad to hear that you like it and I hope you have some more good times with it!

I suck the material into the capsule. It makes it easier if you have one of those mouthpiece extensions on it. I find this to be super quick, easy, and best of all there's no mess!

I still put a small screen in the end of my capsules to contain the load. It took 3 min to cut the screen to the right size, and sure it adds one extra step to loading and unloading my capsules... BUT my screen in the bottom of my Inhalater looks BRAND NEW after 40+ capsules. I haven't had to clean the inside of the device at all.

I'm also still on my first capsule which I've used over 40 times and that still looks pretty much new as well. The mouthpiece screen has a couple little squares that are plugged, but other than that it's nice and clean and doesn't have any airflow restriction.

I have never been able to suck the stuff into the capsule. I tried it after seeing the video but nothing.
4.5 gets me very well medicated. I always see you guys go up in temp as session goes where say with the DV I go lower cause as the stuff vapes it gets harsher. DV I do 375 then drop to 365 half way through. This temp feels about the same as that. I am getting a sore feeling in the back of my throat but not sure why. I l love the idea of cutting one of the tubes...a mod I can do lol. If you use the vape upside down vape stays in the tube so you lose nothing. It gets a big more restrictive upside down and tamped as I do but still very easy to pull.

So can I use iso on bottom screen with the polimide all around the chamber? I really won't care after travel but for now need it clean.

Vapor Junkie I am trying to cut a screen and it is sitting on my dresser but still haven't got it the right size. Is there a trick? I guess I need a toothpick or something to get it in and out. I would love to take out that bottom screen to clean it back up although it was just from the first use I do see some stuff down there. It may be an illusion since there is a reflection inside from the poli but even burns don't take it off so maybe it is just what it is.

BTW LB return had me wrap the box in tin foil and then in a ziplock...does this help the smell somehow? As you may or may not know mail uses dogs airlines local don't.

.

For cutting the screen down to size, I used a pair of heavy duty scissors. I first cut it into a circle(as best I could) that was a little over sized, and then I carefully trimmed the edges little by little to make it a better circle and get it down to the exact size. It goes into the capsule easily, but is big enough to hold it's position when perfectly aligned.

As for loading and unloading technique... Once my herb is in the capsule, I use an index finger to place the tiny screen into the end of the capsule(and it always goes in a little crooked), then I use the tip of my pinky to straighten the screen out which is what holds it in place. When I'm unloading, I take a paperclip and push on one edge of the screen, which turns it and then I can usually grab the edge of it and pull it out with my fingers, or I can just use the paperclip to "pull" it out if it gets too deep in the capsule.

Hope this helps :) It sounds very complicated but it only takes a few seconds in practice.

I will keep cutting. I already have the circle and it is just a bit big but had trouble cutting it smaller. I will update you when it is done.

Edit Just a thought for those having an issue with the inhalater turning on in your pocket, just don't turn it off. If I am wrong I know I will be corrected. I never remember to turn it off after it auto shuts off and was in the mind thought why not just leave it that way. I assume unless corrected that doesn't use the battery since it is off. Doing this the dial may turn in your pocket but unless there is enough force to click it off and back on you will be good.

I'm incredibly exited! After reading all the reviews and comments and watching the videos, I've finally decided to get one of these. I'm gonna order one late tonight/early tomorrow morning. I just wanted to thank every one for writing such valuable information and answering all of my question, without me even having to ask.

You will enjoy it Ape and welcome.

@ ru_frothi, I believe you said you did the write up on the vapopedia. I think that there are mistakes or mine works differently. Heat up time is 45 seconds and on max 50 seconds. I checked just to see while I was doing a burn. Also the sessions are not 6 minutes with my unit they are 8. The book says 6 but I think they increased it. It was mentioned 8 on this thread somewhere as well. I am so bad at searching for stuff.
