That's what I want to hear from the guy that designed my vape! Good to know the electrics are gonna keep on working right?

Yes because we are trying to make all the original systems work, including Ac, guages, and all smog equipment.

Me thinks it was less then 1/2 gram, because he stated that there was a miss hap and he got in as much as he could but there was waste. Anything less then .3 on a 1.5 cart is gonna act like empty, so that cartridge was running dry from my en educated guess.
Could very well be.

If i do answer this question it will reveal what it is. So I am going to best answer your questions on why we have not done a larger cartridge.


Well we actually have a 20mm diameter cartridge, tested it out and all, works like crap. We decided to actually keep the current form factor and fix the issues we have. IE longevity, leaking and clogging.


Turns out the leaking might be fixed in tester carts we sending out, still working on many designs, and for the clogging we are working on it but this is a hard one.

The larger diameter cartridges will require larger heating elements or more powerful ones as the heating surface is almost twice as big, and will suck power from the tiny batteries really fast because of the larger or stronger heating elements.

That makes sense. No worries. I just see the ego carts that are the same size of the ego body, running on 3.7v and not having trouble, and thought why couldn't the omicron cart be designed in a similar way. Even if it is a eliquid cartridge, they all leak. I have not seen any cartridge or cartomizer in the ecig industry not leak.

For instance take a boge, or a standard cartomizer, over fill it and bam leaks. Fill it and draw on it to hard bam in your mouth it goes.

Even with a Rev we have seen people clogging them up. That needs to be constantly washed or the build up will just kill it.

Its a trade off. You want to constantly load it? or just load it and forget it? Both of these technologies have price tags.

Our v2 cartridges will be different.

And "new user"? Excuse me, I've had my Omicron for around... a month, I think. I think that's enough time to be labeled a super-seasoned user. I'm just joking...

Actually, seeing all this stuff about ohm's and volts makes me feel pretty dumb! There's so much to learn...

Edit: I looked at my cart and the oil inside looks sort of uneven. As if it's only on one side of the cart. It's weird.

It seems like this is one of those lessons in life a large portion of guys have to 'learn the hard way'. I sure did. I was being too shy. Then, of course, I went the other way, cooked a gram of other wise nice oil and destroyed a cart in the process. And not to worry about there being 'so much to learn', as you go along that happens. It's how adults learn. Kids learn by rote, they repeat multiplication tables until they become habit. Adults build complex skill and understanding sets one step at a time, entirely different. If you want to teach something you need to get past that.

Anyway, enough cosmic stuff for a while. If you can see an uneven surface it's clear stuff didn't flow in and settle well. However, it's now cold so it's going to be much harder to melt it down without overheating. The key is understanding the risks I think. The seals we're most concerned about are at the bottom at about the 1/3 level up. This area has to stay cool enough to hold onto or we'll trash the seals. But it also has to end up hot enough to melt the oil. So here goes:

Hold it at the 1/3 point and keep rolling it. Stay conscious of the heat you feel, you want it warm but not real hot through the process. Start heating at about the mid point. Stainless conducts heat poorly and the walls are thin, so the heat doesn't 'flow down' easily when there's no oil inside. When it's warm under your fingers, move up. Keep the heat on, keep it rolling and keep feeling the heat at your finger level. If your lower part cools, quickly lower to the middle of the cart and give it a second or two blast of heat before returning back up. Keep it warm below as you move up. You want the first melted oil to flow all the way down past the air bubble, if it stops again lower down the hill gets steeper. If you're lucky you can feel a quick but modest rise in the temperature under your fingers as the hot oil drops down, but don't key on this it might not happen.

Then prime carefully and test again. I've done this two or three times without any problems since I learned the lesson about enough but not too much heat.

Ah, I don't mind losing the gram; it was only ten dollars. :p
I'm actually a bit suspicious about the quality of the oil (if it even is oil). Is it supposed to taste sweet? I have a feeling it might be some tincture, rebottled, and made to look like hash oil. I've never used hash oil prior to this, but for $10, I'm having doubts! But why would my favorite collective lie? Aren't people supposed to be honest?! :'(

I did go ahead and try to fix it myself with a hot needle and lighter, but it still didn't work, so I gave up.
But I'll try again right now using your method.

I got my cartridge out of my bag, and it's profusely leaking. Well, not that much, but it's leaking enough to just forget about it. I put some saran wrap on the bottom since I suspected it would keep leaking. It's pretty gross looking haha. I'm just going to toss it, fuck that.

I WILL keep in mind how to properly fill a cartridge though, for next time, so thank you very much again.

Actually, I won't toss it. I'll just reclaim the oil or something and dissect the cart. Should be fun.

Oh and dude, would you mind telling me how long the Omicron V1 battery is supposed to last? I never discharge the battery completely, and I charge it every day. I've read on a few sites that that helps prolong battery life, but I just do it out of habit...

That sounds like a deal lol might be some really poor quality oil, I would not use it in these carts because the residue will cause your cart to fail. I would suggest you chose something more brighter or clearer. The picture to the left is me holding some Skywalker BHO I made and vac purged myself. The oil is very potent and will leave behind no residue on a nail or skillet and therefore the carts will run for a longer period of time. Either way I hope your enjoying. (if you do venture off to making some BHO please follow the proper safety and always extract outdoors in well ventilated areas. Its not as difficult as it might appear and ask or google anything you do not know)

Oh the oil has the consistency, color and clarity of honey. :) It looked pretty potent and for $10, it seemed like a steal! I was able to get a few good hits of vapor before the clogging issues, but it didn't affect me... I have a low tolerance, so that also made me think that it isn't really hash oil. =/

I've actually been wanting to make my own, and I think I know how (in theory), but I have yet to try since I don't have a home of my own, and I don't think my ma' would appreciate me doing that in her home haha.

And dude, that Skywalker BHO looks so lovely. :) It looks like a shark tooth!
Not like my avatar though haha.
Oh man, I love my Omicron. I put an older cart on it, and it does not disappoint!

MMMMM I'm just going to stick to budder with these carts. I'll probably get some of those 1.5 ohm carts I've been reading so much about. :D

The bottom is the thread area, you hold it by the thread and heat the top 1/4 part is how i do it.

Excellent point. I naturally think of top and bottom relative to how it's used (mouthpiece up....what ever up is...). But absolutely right. The bottom most seal is on top of the threaded part (inside the tube). There are others above.

Guys with more experience can no doubt go right to the 'sweet spot' with the heat like THC does, but I came to the 'keep it warm in the middle' approach because I ended up really cooking some stuck shatter at the top before 'the bottom fell out'. The key is to keep the bottom third (thread end) cool in the process, well no more than warm, after than anything that works, works.

i was holding it 2/3rd the way up instead of 1/3rd so that extended my filling time about five-fold, and made a air bubble im fairly certain, but I worked with it and its starting to produce vapor with fantastic taste.

I'm not getting big clouds, a little wispy so there might still be an air bubble...but still getting some vapor and absolutely feel it.

That first fill is an interesting experience (my torch ran out of butane halfway thru :doh: )...needless to say next time is going to be much smoother.

Yeh, the more and more you do it, the more you learn what you need and make ur own filling station tools to help you out and know the whole ritual in getting all dat oil down to the wick!

Next thing to learn will be reclaiming oil from carts :o

well, it looks like the center post in one of my omicron v1 batteries has come loose, it rattles when I wiggle it, and now i just get a blinking light... oh well, no biggie, I have another one. I don't know if there is an easy fix for this.

Also, thanks for cartridge and fill tool, that was a nice surprise! You guys seem really dedicated to customer service, thanks man :) Also, I like my omicron v1, but I was looking at upgrading as I use pretty thick homemade oils (Gets clogged or hard to pull)I like the discreetness of the V2 (maybe with the high output carts?), or do you think I should upgrade to Persei? Thanks man, :)
