VapCap Induction Heater for Desktop and in Car Use

I've had some form of vapcap for well over a year and have used one or another almost daily for that long:rockon:

I just realized that as a right handed person who, in general, treats his left hand as a dumb mirror image of its opposing appendage or to simply hold things that my right hand works on, that I absolutely can't spin my vapcap in my right hand. I've tried. Many times. It just doesn't feel right. Light in right, spinning vapcap in left-that's just how I do it. So weird.
Any one else out there use their off hand to rotate? Curious weirdo wants to know:wave:

I'm left handed but have had a practice switching to the right. I can do it but it doesn't feel as natural. I can however use either hand to load my Portside :brow:

Had my Portside over a week with about 7-9 heat cycles a day. Still got all 5 leds lighting on the power test strip. Damn this thing is going to reduce my butane usage down to a can a decade!

Anyone got an actual count on number of heat cycles from full to empty?

I saw some numbers earlier on but not sure they were to completely empty batteries.

I have trouble spinning it with either hand lol. I torch with the left and spin with the right. I know what you mean though. I am right handed but I play pool left handed. I have no idea why but I cant play pool right handed.

Here is a picture of @stickstones in the wild last night rockin' his portside from his fanny pack all night. Everyone at the party was like "wtf is that thing?"

I also use a Vector Pyramid lighter that has a cup around the flame with a notch in it. This lighter looks like it was designed for the VapCap. It also has an added benefit, in that it helps amplifies the click. Vector has a No-Proof Warranty. If it quits you pay for the return shipping they will repair it.

Thanks @Dynalowrider . One question regarding Pyramid, do you need to hold a button "on" or will it stay lite until you turn it off?

I'm not sure about going electric, rather find a better butane technique.

Kinda looks like BamBam Brown from "The Alaska Bush People" to me...

Pushing the portability to the extreme. @stickstones , check this fanny extreme out. Be great for all those nature walks you go on...:lmao:
Looks like it was a great party!

MinnBobber, it does have to be held on, but it's a push-in. You don't have to bend your thumb and hold it down. It just sits in your hand, (whichever hand you want), and you push the button.
The notch is about an inch,(or 25.4mm), wide at the top and is 1/2" deep. As you spin the cap it stays in the flame.
I have no horse in this race, but this really makes my life easier. Like I said before I placed a vc magnet in the cup, so it is a natural to place my cap in the cup and hold it. If you pull this up it shows a cigar laying across the cup, and a VapCap lays in the cup just like it. Doc

Noooooo, that's not what I wanted to hear! :goon:

I'm afraid to check for an update, I've only been checking about 5 packages once an hour for a few days lol.

Tell ya what @cybrguy , I'll drive down and pick them both up and drop yours off!

**Edit - ok, we'll have to reschedule for Monday, I'm bumped back too. I'll just be glad if they don't lose it and it really shows! Maybe my sale order will surprise me and arrive unannounced.....
Weeeeelllllll... I noted last night that "the package" had appeared at a local post office, and this AM it showed "out for delivery". So, Monday turned back into today!!!:clap:

I hope @MonkeyTime has similar luck. I will report back in this post rather than make another delivery post. Shall I tell you how much I like it in this post? Nope, that will be another cause I won't be able to use it (loaded anyway) until tonight...

But, so far the news is GOOD! But, chickens and hatches and all, I should probably shut up.

I was going to try to keep a tally of how many cycles I could get on a charge. I lost track on the first night after 50 cycles, and all the lights on the battery indicator were still lit. It took five more days (maybe not quite as heavy of usage as the first day but close) to completely empty the batteries.

My guess is between 200 - 300 heating cycles total. Enough to dissuade me from trying to count again!

Yeash! That's a lot of hits, this thing will last me a month before I have to recharge it. That's hilarious, I've never had a vape that only needs charging monthly.

Wow! I bought the jarhead ii so I'm not concerned about portability but damn, maybe I should have considered it. Either way, i've got a 510 heater/mod for on the go.

200-300 hits holy smokes

@Derrrpp what cells are you using?
I'm on VTC4's.

I haven't bothered getting scientific about it since the first time when I said I'd got 39 bowls to a charge.
To be honset I've 'lunched' it a few times, I wrote the date on the old ply box then put it in the Walnut.

No idea on how many cycles I get as just about every bowl has become a single click run.

Run time is days, I will try and check again as the batteries were new the first time.

Make sure and tamp the load so it's below the internal chamfer, the clicker will scorch the top otherwise.
I never worried to much with the torch but I've found it will spoil a load.

@phattpiggie I'm using LG HG2s. The batteries were brand new, fresh off the very first charge when I tested it. Not all the heating cycles had herb either, as I was playing with it a lot just for the sake of playing with it, lol.

I really should redo the test now that the batteries have settled in. And do normal bowls with herb in them, no dry runs, for consistency's sake. Maybe someday I'll attempt it again.

I'm the same with 3x new HG2's. I've mostly stuck to 10 heat cycles a day. No blanks, I'm playing with live rounds :D

I think I've said that a few times.

@GreenHopper and Derrrpp the HG2's are 3000mah they have 900mah more than mine, no wonder your getting good results.

Anyone tried the one click bowl yet??
I didn't realise but looking back at the videos I've posted I started doing it not long after I got it.

Edit. The other thing I've just realised is the cap at no point should cherry up, no hot spots like with a torch.

I mostly go for one large hit about 3 seconds after the click except the last bowl of the night.

That bowl I hit bang on the click and get half a hit. Then I go for a full extraction hit about 40mins later for the more mellow buzz.
