Is there any fucntional differences to the different handcarved models, or is just a matter of looks? I love the potency of my Sticky Brick OG since I am a CBD flower guy. The OG takes me much deeper on CBD flower than my Dynavaps. I have a Splinter and a Milaana on the way for travel but I am thinking one of the VG handcarved models might be an even more stealthy travel vape than the RBTs while still having the potency of the Sticky Brick.

the hand carved ones usually longer (5.5'' instead of 4.5'') hence the vapor should be a little cooler

Dude, you and I might be on the same wavelength. I've been super interested in picking up a hand carved in walnut to match the walnut Runt. It seems like it would be very comparable to the SB lineup, especially how @Obsessed 2 explained earlier when he compared his SBJr to his VG.

I did noticed that You and I are on the same Vaporitiual path. Once you have a Sticky Brick and witness how potent they are you kind of look at your other vapes like nice try but no cigar. And then you get curious what other vapes have the potency of the Sticky Bricks. The Vaporgenie handcarved have that it is just an old man pipe stealthy look too for possible public use without too many eyes raised. And no model of Sticky Brick has that possibilty.

I went straight to the source and manufacturer, VG. Super nice people and you wont get it much cheaper than there. If you see something that indicates out of stock i would definitely recommend reaching out to them via their online contact form. I inquired about an out-of-stock teak carved which they quickly replied back that they had some in the back. Their website doesnt seem to be updated too often.

My handcarved VG arrived today so I did two bowl fulls of CBD flower. I always loved the look of tobacco pipes. And the tobacco pipe seems like a stealthy way to vape. The potency is up there with my Sticky Brick and RBT Splinter. A bit harsh on the throat but not as harsh as the Splinter and you can't get have it all in one Vape. It is so simple to use too, like Dynavap simple IMO. I saw someone mention to use the Aomai lighters, so I filled my two up and set the flame low and they worked great. Super glad I tried out an oldie but a goodie vape.

Which one to get had me going back and forth. I loved rhe Spiral top but then thought the knuckle on the stem was a little gaudy. So I was thinking of getting the straight one or the smooth one to get the simple stem. And the other issies was Teak or Walnut. I miss the walnut Runt I sold so grabbed another Walnut piece. I wanted it to look like a real pipe, so i was checking out google images of tobacco pipes and the Spiral top seemed to match them the most. So I took a chance and just like the Sticky Bricks, you can't really tell the size or how they look till in front of you in person, IMO. And in person it isn't gaudy and is a little smaller than I thought too. I dig the size, and the flame isn't close to your face.

I may pick up a MFLB walnut stem to compare to the plastic stem. Or maybe even the MFLB walnut dart stem. I am curious to see if it will fit in my mouthpiece bubbler. And I am also thinking of trying one of my Sticky Brick flame intakes with it. It definitley feels like a keeper vape from the get go.

I’ve use a whip from a da Buddha before, but the coil is where it’s at for water.

I hooked up a classic to an Orbiter. The little male adapters that go with the whip fit perfectly into the stem of the VG if you remove the mouth piece.

I have this same model amongst my collection of 3 VGs.

My experience is that the VGs hit very similar to my Triihouse Lily.

I was always more of a Daisy user (OG Brick precursor) preferring the big moist dank hits over the harsher hits of the smaller units. So, they tend to not get used as often as they should.

That said, they are a very consistent and reliable..they also don't rely on a torch heat source, so are a good option should go ever be in a situation requiring that you resort to firing it up with a bic.

@basement farmer That is so cool you have aa Trillhouse. And yes I also much prefer the Sticky Brick OG vapor as my daily driver. The OG is a game changer. The Vaporgenie will be my travel Sticky Brick.

I think I'm cautious enough to make it on the first hit (the tip of the strong blue flame will get into the chamber, never even close to the filter) , but will let you know if I'll take a ride on the popcombustion train

First off, it's not a filter. It's a heat exchanger. You heat it with the flame, it, in turn, heats the air being drawn through. Lots of surface area, but relatively large passages. It works by forcing the air flow to change directions a lot, increasing contact with the (hot) walls. That hot air, way past 400F when working, in turn heats the load below. This is real Convection in action, not like 'hybrid' Conduction vapes (which don't really exist for the temperature difference reason).

It doesn't filter anything in real terms.

Secondly, there's no avoiding it, it makes up the floor of the upper changer. Good thing, since the idea is to make solid contact so the flame can heat it.

Just suck the flame into the bowl mouth like you were lighting a traditional pipe. Expect to hear for several seconds before you get any sort of vapor. Keep at it, good things will come.

Well, it filters the heat. but it's not a real definition, heat exchanger is.
that's why people use the term 'filter' about the VG, it does make sense that it filters something, but it has a better definition
