Lost my coil last night catfishing, just ordered another! These things are awesome to always have on hand..
Actually, it DID end up in the water.. But not intentionally, of course it was with a fresh load too.Another use for the coil, a catfish lure! Most cool.
How big was the fish?

The coil is amazing but best for travel or water pipes but the classic for me is the best not by much just my personal preference but they both work and very well but if you dont wanna spend much and just wanna try the coil is best and then VAS will kick in and you'll want the rest of them and the bats from what i hear suck or are harder to use or get a hit i cant say never used one and wouldnt get it after ppl saying it was difficult to use
A dry pipe cleaner or a even better one of the ss wire brushes they sell on the VG website. The steel Brush really does the job much better, well worth the $3.50 in my eyes.I ran a search and found a lot of people asking the question but not getting an answer... what is the best way to clean my VG classic? The VG website doesn't even have anything, just how to de-soot the filter. After about an ounce of flower through my VG it looks like it needs a cleaning. Has all sorts of resin and stuff under the screen. Do I just do the best I can with dry pipe cleaners? I know that using iso is a no-no.

I use pipe cleaners... one soft and one with bristles.
I barely moisten them with rum or other regular (NOT overproof) alcoholic distilled beverage.
Shake off all excess liquor well (or pinch it and squeeze it through).
Floss the inside until satisfied.
Hold the mouthpiece over vacuum nozzle for a second to speed dry any moisture left behind.
It will seal itself nicely, while ridding the excess oils.
Check out puffitup's lighter selection. I have three from there as all three are used equally with ZERO gripes. From me anywaysI've been using the Vapor Genie coil with butane refillable lighters, but they are a cheaply made 3-pack of lighters that I got from Big Lots, the kind with the long metal stem that people use for lighting bbqs and fire places. The flame typically blips like the feed of butane is not steady enough and it often goes out when hitting unless you are around fairly still air. All three act the same way so that's just how they perform. They have gotten the job done overall and I was thrilled to find a whole pack of refillable electronic lighters for something like $3.50, but I really feel like I get caught unnecessary sucking down a lot of unburned butane plus I'm ready for some consistency.
Is a torch the absolute best way to use the Coil and can anyone suggest a good portable one that can fit decently in a loose pocket for under $12? I saw a pen style on Amazon for around $8 that gets good reviews but it might take around three weeks to get here from China. I'd like one that is decent on fuel consumption and is solid adjusting the flame. Also, what do you look for to identify whether or not the heating element has soot buildup?

Are they adjustable?
This guy has long been my favorite for such things:

Now using one of these torches I fully understand why ya'll like using a torch over a bic most of the time.
