To HF2.0 users! Looks like it's sold out right now but hopefully it's popular enough to come back. Is the vapor SIGNIFICANTLY less dry/hot? My lungs must be sensitive (another reason I'm glad I no longer smoke). Just came off a 4 month t-break and forgot how big rips can tear me up. :ugh: I think the HF2.0 would be a good addition to my circ HT if it really does gives some extra conditioning to the vapor to reduce some of my coughing fits.
You should consider a Mobius bubbler if you have the extra cash. I have a very sensitive throat and I barely cough when I use it for flowers or oil.

While vapor can cause coughing due to tickling or irritation, my understanding is that THC also has an "expectorant" effect which itself can induce coughing. The HF2.0's additional filtering & moisturizing will probably help some (I have an HF and a HT Circ, too), but at least IME reducing the size of the hit and/or temp, and maybe sipping a little water before and after, helps much more. Besides, a more manageable hit may result in more vapor being absorbed/less wasted. YMMV and will, as everyone is different of course. :2c:

EDIT: Duh, forgot to mention . . . adding ice to the water filtration/cooling noticeably helps me. Consequently, my most frequently used HT is the HydraLine.

Try using warmer water when you fill your WT.
I find it helps a lot!

Thanks everybody for the help. @Monsoon @oldiebutgoodie @lazylathe

I've considered the mobius and the main reason I lean towards the HF is the modular design. HT alone, HF2 with dry stem, HT+HF2. Adds a lot of variety, which is great since the only glass I own is the HT.

I do know that thc is an expectorent, so I know there'll never be 0 irritation, sadly. I have been shortening my hits which helps. Last night, I actually managed to get a burning sensation in my throat and nose right before I finished the bowl. I hope some of the harshness is just from my product being pretty old/dry. I like the idea of ice and have considered stealing the idea of an fc member a few pages back who hooked up his HF2 to a 7th floor vapor tamer (that "modular design" again).

And warm water! I forgot all about that. I was doing that for awhile before my break. The added steam really does smooth out hits. My only problem is keeping the water warm/hot enough if my session lasts a little long. Any suggestions? I'll try this again tonight.:science:

EDIT: The post about the vapor tamer setup referenced above.

For those liking a chilled hit, this is amazing. The best hits I have ever had bar none.

I have had the glycerine tube before defusion takes place, but having the chill right before you inhale feels amazing.

Jack of all trades, master of none.
Has anyone ever tried a heating pad as a coaster for their water tool? I know this introduces electrocution hazard and whatnot, but I'm interested to see if it would keep the water warm enough for soothing hits.

Random thoughts. Sorry.

I haven't used a plugged in hot plate, but have used this.

You just throw it in the microwave for 2 minutes, and it keeps it heat for a little while. If I heat up the pad, and put hot water in the bubbler, the water will still be warm for probably 30 minutes or more.

How did you do with a 4 month t break

I also need to do a lot to protect my throat. That's why I got the exhale and I'm looking into the solo with a water tool

I wish evo would make a little portable model

I did pretty well. Oddly, it was no trouble in the beginning (aside from being a bit annoyed), but urges kinda of built up over time like a slow burn. I would say the first 3 months were relatively easy. After that, I started carving the days that have passed on my bedroom wall. I'm glad to be back! :D
I should add that I don't just use herb recreationally, but also medicinally to help with depression/anxiety (which I no longer tale medication for due, in part, to our favorite flower). Ymmv.:peace:

I too have become a fan of the whip...
Not sure why but i can set all my glass up and use most of it in the same session, only moving the ground joint from piece to piece!
Makes for an enjoyable medication session!

I do not find a difference in taste or effect, so i am happy with the same type of set up.

Yeah I was 100% anti-whip because I was in the "all glass" mindset. But when the VXN launched and I actually tried a whip, (my set up is like McB) there was no way to notice the whip and there was no taste. (medical grade, heat resistant silicone)

I go VXN to GONG to WHIP to another gong to another whip to another gong to the HF 2.0 to the Ice Pinch turbine HT.

Got a reply from support, will most likely send in unit but support disappeared again. Waited almost a week for a reply.

So far
- unit running cool, can't get dark abv, or clouds on max. my friends love the solo more as it hits hotter.. Real bummer hearing that as I spent double the price and some for the evo,
- weird plastic smell
- when I flip unit on sometimes the light stays green and doesn't heat even when I'm moving the dial
-sparks and flashes when I place elb into evo male.
-cracking, popping sounds hear and there when I heat/cool the unit, sometimes when I move the unit too.
The bamboo seems airtight when I plug and blow, but when I turn the unit upside down and shake (trying to see if any abv fell in) little glassy flakes fell out of the evo.. Now I'm definitely worried and so far customer support from vxh been the slowest out of all vape manufacturers I've dealt with. I've given less money to arizer and there support/service is amazing and free of charge.. No admin fee etc...less than 1 week turnaround time And they even gave me free accessories. Andy at epic vape poors his heart out to take care of each of his customers and he is a one man army?!? Bad move on my part from trying to upgrade from a solo to evo. Save your money and time, the solo/e nano is the best for the money. They even feel higher quality (tanks) compared to the evo.. I've spent many months saving to buy the evo and I'm almost speechless at this point.....

Does anyone know if Planetvape will deal with the warranty or if i have to send it back to vapexhale which is terrifying obsurd as that will never happen at Walmart lol. And even more terrifying, emails takes years imagine repairs :(.
I don't know what it is but I caught up 200 pages the last couple days and the impression I'm receiving about vxh isn't as great as id assume.

Here's a photo of what has fallen out of my evo, hard to get a focused shot, but if shook it ontop of the black evo box so u can see easier.

Why don't you contact Planetvape? They will prob send u a return and I'm sure they will prob handle it with Vapexhale

@Hioctane is correct. I suspect Planet Vape stands behind a brand new unit. Now, if it were developing problems 3/4 of a year down the road, VapeXhale is the place to look for warranty satisfaction. At least, that is how I understand it.

@Propaganja - I know emotions can run high when it comes to high end gear with matching high end price tags, but I would encourage you to take a breath and enjoy some of your other vapes.

Your EVO has failed, or was DOA.

My EVO also failed, more dramatically than yours, after one day. Some would consider that DOA. About two weeks later, I had a rebuilt unit in my hands that works like a dream. That was 7 months ago. The rebuilt EVO has given me zero issues since and continues to amaze

I'm not sure I actually give a shit, but for your own sake, I would stick with it. I'm pretty sure it will end up surpassing your expectations. and not to derail the thread, but comparing the EVO's extraction performance to the Solo's is just invalid. and I love my Solo. I think I can pull more content out of a load in 3 draws of the EVO than I can in 12 minutes with the Solo. I don't think I've ever thrown the Solo ABV into the EVO and NOT blown a huge cloud or three. again, Solo is awesome, but not really comparable.

I just can't seem to do that. I try to take off days during the week to lower my tolerance and save it for the weekend

i am glad I read this. I would use my solo as an extra vape that's more portable. I broke my beautiful bong today and I did so love to turn the exhale upside down

Stone monkey: it's the Long Island mom here. I love my device. What if you guys dream up a smaller version of the xhale; a lighter and more portable unit. If it is as good as the desktop it would jump all over the solo. If you build it people would come Seibo. (Movie reference)

im saying the solo extraction is better because im assuming my evo is faulty (running cooler, cracked bamboo? and little glass flakes coming out when i shake it upside down) so its not running at its full potential. im actually hoping the evo will eventually (after it goes through servicing) outperform my other vapes because i spent the most on it lol.

i think the those little shards coming out of the evo isnt really sharp.. i can rub it between my fingers without really much feel for pain, but it does scratch surfaces. im thinking its the glass rubbing against the heater or something else rubbing and shaving the glass.. but for now i dont think i want to use it until it gets analyzed/resolved.. could be dangerous inhaling tiny glass into your system.

and thanks for reminding me to give planetvape an email, maybe they can help me out..

Finally got my EVO from massdrop, this thing is an absolute BEAST.

I think I got one of the hotter models, is anybody else's extremely hot at 12 O'clock after about 10~ minutes?

Completely normal....might need the sleeve, otherwise just be mindful of it and you'll soon be habituated to not go near that area. Took me a nice burn to learn.

The top half of the unit gets very hot, this is normal. Many people put one or two wristbands about halfway down, to signal where it's ok to grab.
