Enjoy your weekend, 'dogette. Don't let Dave get to crazy with the fireworks this year. We need him safe and sane around these parts.Happy 4th of July Weekend UDs! We'll be out through Monday, so all emails and orders will be taken care of upon our return on Tuesday.
My little red elm pup just arrived! Its warming itself up now but I'll try it out shortly...
However, is it normal for it to smell and see fumes when I warm it up though? Do those go away? I'll probably be using it below 12, but I could see wisps even around 10v give or take as well... Any help?
EDIT: so after an hour or so it still seems to be fuming, they're not as thick at 12.4v as they were before but they are still visible with a flash light and I can still smell a slight something burning? Not sure what exactly, its kinda different than anything I've ever smelt in a portable unit (only time ive experienced offgassing fumes before).
So will these continue to thin out and go away eventually? Should I just check back in like 5 hours?(!) Anyone else experience this with their new Dog?
And Side note now: not seeing fumes on 11v anymore (still smell/taste it though, and see the fumes at higher voltage still as well) so tried it anyway while I wait for a response. Couple light hits with the Nong through a honeycomb and yeah... Already know I made the right decision regardless, so tiny and beautiful, so efficient and powerful...

I'm finding that even though my bubbler doesn't milk up, I'm blowing out HUGE clouds.
Basically my technique is to set the VVPS at about 12.8 or 12.9, inhale slowly for a bit then have a quick burst of increased inhalation. Repeat that until my lungs are mostly full, clear the chamber, fill the rest of my lungs with air, then slightly exhale to see if there's vapor coming out. If there is, I inhale again and do that as many times as necessary.
Seems to be working for me
